Is there a strong desire for a Sinnoh remake like there was for a Hoenn remake? I see every once in awhile someone throw it out as a joke, but is there really a strong desire from the community for it? Diamond and Pearl were my first Pokemon games, but I don't need a remake of those games.

Depends on how many nods there are to DP in Sun and Moon.

Using Oahu as the first revealed Island for Alola already gives us some what of a nod since PEARL Harbor and DIAMOND Head Volcano are on the island.

Gen 4 and Sinnoh are awesome, and I loved it.
I know they probably wouldn't, but I would also like to have the mythos expanded. There's a lot of potential with the Legendaries Sinnoh offered us.

Yes good point and I think the hints we get in SM about DP remake can tell us a lot if it will happen.

They had their chance at remaking R/G/B this year and decided to go with VC releases instead. I wouldn't expect one until the 25 anniversary.

I think we will see a G4 remake on the next Nintendo DS or whatever handheld system that they make next. Reports of a next handheld called "MH" is rumor to come out in late 2017 or early 2018. Not to mention each handheld generation gets a remake.

DS - G2 remakes
3DS - G3 remakes

I hope for a gen 4 remake sometime soon, i thought the Pokemon from that generation were awesome and the region was cool, my main gripe was that the gen 4 games were unbearably slow, a remake would most likely fix that issue and if it did it could potentially make gen 4 my favorite Pokemon generation.

I want a Sucker Punch Skuntank, Avalanche Bastiodon and Defog everything.
