I'm not complaining about tri, I'm complaining about CR's subbing of tri. And it's an issue because yeah, actually, when stupid subs get me all hot and bothered it breaks my immersion and I can't focus on the actual thing as much as I should.

But still, screw this subbing thing. Nothing pisses me off more when it comes to subs than arbitrarily changing characters' names. It's so unnecessary.

That being said, of the three episodes I've now seen, I...don't think I've spotted any shit. I'm enjoying all of it quite a lot. Taichi's side of the argument with Yamato and his concerns were pretty vague and thus sorta dumb, I guess, but other than that, pretty damn good so far.

Honestly, the only part of the sub itself that got to me was "Digidestined" since I've always disliked the term.

Liked it. Really hit on all that nostalgia, and the great animation and art quality was a wonderful thing to see. Lots of cool, nice, funny stuff here.

The fourth part wasn't quite as exciting as I would have wanted it to be, since a lot of the stuff in it is of course stuff we won't really understand until later installments. Also because Taichi continued to be a wet blanket for no real discernible reason.

The fact that none of the perfect or ultimate evolutions were shown was a tad hype killing. How am I supposed to get excited about cool transformations if we don't even see them? Really, that battle in general felt like it escalated kinda weirdly. I'unno.

Anyway, I guess they showed that "DigiDestined" website, so ok, I'm forgiving Crunchyroll for using that, I guess that kinda justifies it. (Still not letting the Gatomon thing go, though).

That being said, really now? Omegamon gets to stay Omegamon? Pull yourself together, Crunchyroll. How unsightly to be so inconsistent.

Well, obviously not that I mind. I just wish he wasn't the only one who kept his name. Even if I'm sure they only did it so people would catch on to the Alpha-Omega thing. Which, as things go, is both kind of a dumb reason and good enough for me.

Anyway, yeah, Saikai was cool. Looking forward to the rest.

edit: hey just saw that poster for the second movie. Vikemon and Rosemon and Imperialdramon...holy crap! So awesome. Would have definitely preferred Plesiomon, but this is still pretty much everything I wanted out of tri. Ultimates for everyone! So great. Can't wait for Tentomon to go HeracleKabuterimon or whatever. (also, defs hope they keep Tailmon's Ultimate as Holydramon, non-canonicity of hurricane touchdown be damned)

I never liked Magnadramon, Orphanimon fits Gatomon better IMO.

I also completely missed Paildramon Dragon Mode on the cover for the next movie, so we might find out more about the02 kids next time.

I do not like Ophanimon. I know she's going to become Ophanimon, but I'm not a big fan of her. Oh well.

I'm really hopeful the other characters reaching Ultimate is treated with grandiose and not just them going "Oh, HerculesKabuterimon? That's neat."
