Shodo-X/O and SO-DO Chronicle are all designed by the same person, D-san. In the reveal of O3, it's said in no uncertain terms that Go-Gadoru-Ba was made to play well with ShodoVS Kuuga and SO-DO Chronicle Kuuga (which was releasing at the time). They also mention Go-Gadoru-Ba was pretty high in the surveys for monsters. Also D-san has included SO-DO Chronicle Den-O in line ups with Shodo Riders declaring Heisei phase 1 main Riders as done.

Point is the designers treat all these lines as complements to each other. They see them all under the umbrella of Kamen Rider action figure candy toys, not as completely separate lines.

PS unless you pose everything in the most boring way, standing straight up, the size difference isn't noticeable.

Thanks for all the info, folks! The slight difference in scaling is very interesting, seeing as they consider it one line/complementary lines and share their designer.

And now the part I care about the most; SHODO BUILD!!!! In addition to X-12 looking like an absolutely BEAUTIFUL wave, the accessory pack is mostly tailored towards Hazard -- so in addition to Rabbit/Tank, you get heads (and weapons!) for Hawk/Gatling, Kaizoku/Ressha, Key/Dragon and Smapho/Wolf!

I literally today finished my SO-DO Build display (save some Guardians that haven't arrived yet), and now here's this gorgeous SHODO Build that I 1000% do not need and passed up on AmiAmi and am seconds away from now ordering.

Hard to say no to that.

I think it'll be my first SHODO pickup! Eventually, that is. I'm glad it releases in May because I've got a lot of pending purchases before then, but after that... they are so mine. I love how right they got that Machine Builder!

Banjou seems to have gotten the short end of the stick (as always). Sento gets his belt more detailed with the fullbottles and the Drill Crusher is incredibly well painted, while Banjou's belt attachment is a flat colour and his Beat Crosser isn't well painted either. Hazard's bottles are painted over but, well, smart decision considering the additional parts. I'm alright with it though -- everyone here looks great!

That's the problem! I needed this wave to be... I mean, basically I needed it to be the Genm wave, quality-wise. (Which I'm still getting!) I needed it to be something where I wouldn't view it as a more premium take on the SO-DO figs. But it is! So premium!

I don't know, New Gorgeous Build Figures is a good problem to have, but it's still a problem. (For me and my sicknesses.) Especially because I spent a year(-ish) getting all of these tiny mans:

Like, I love these suits. I don't plan on doing this for another series right this second. (I did, uh, purchase all of Zero-One already? So, going forward, not my plan to go all-in.) And SHODO isn't going to touch, like, 80% of these suits. (Although, KumaTelevi??? Maybe???) But there was this brief window where I'm like Phew Completion and now I'm all And Then A Small Selection Of These Beauties.

They do look great, though! And it's not like going for all of the SHODO Build figs is anything more than a couple three waves. It's just crazy that these photos got released within, like, an hour of me feeling a sense of finality about my tiny Builds.

Collecting is a fun thing to do to the human brain.

And I am in a very fluid state of reassigning space from one interest (plastic robot toys) to another (tiny mans). It's just one cube for Build SO-DO, but... I don't know, it's a negotiation. I'm trying to figure out where stuff is going to go in 2021.
