I've gotten around to the 2nd episode of the uncut DBZ Kai on Toonami *again, Adult Swim on xfinity on demand from Comcast* & it's WAY better than when it was on Nicktoons & Vortexx on the CW.

Dragon Ball The Path to Power - Out of the four movies, this one is easily the best. It has a coherent story that doesn't feel rushed and is fleshed out. Unfortunately, it is still far from being issue free. The animation is nice, but Toriyama's designs have been utterly butchered, which is down right insulting. Oddly enough though, the movie is a re-imagining of the Red Ribbon Army saga, which is great since that is the best saga in the series, but it is strange that they did not follow the continuity of Mystical Adventure and do something with Piccolo. Also, the voice actor changes, especially for Roshi and Col Blue suck ass. Overall, I give it a 6.5/10

Path to Power was made for the anime's 10th anniversary back in 1996. The original three DB movies ended after 1988 when they chose to focus on DBZ in 1989 - 1996. It made sense for them not to do a follow up to Mystical Adventure. I remember Path to Power being alright. I haven't seen in the past 10 years or more. I saw it subbed in 2003 on the Internet and saw the dub on DVD sometime in 2004.

I also been watching Getter Robo: Armageddon on DVD. It's awesome and I'm glad to own them all on DVD since I couldn't find the other episodes subbed on the web. I still like to see the original Getter Robo TV series or the recent series from 2004. I'm a big super robot lover, so the series give me everything I wanted.

Just watched two Accel world OVAs. Reeeeeally wish this show would get a second season.

Watched the first 4 eps of 00 Season 2 while the pc was down, it was great. They fixed the pacing issues that s1 had, and it was so cool to see Lockon 2.0 . Is there a manga or something that chronicles Setsuna's adventures between the seasons? Because I kinda with they showed a bit more of that. Mostly because Exia Repair is awesome.

One Piece Film Z - This movie was utterly terrific. The story was well done and felt fleshed out. It is too bad that the normal filler the series has is not even a quarter as good as this movie was, as everything felt right. Well, almost. The movie did not have enough Franky, but other than that, I have very little to complain about. The battles were great and it was awesome getting a taste of the dub set in the New World, but to be honest, I expected the characters to sound a little bit older. Nami is the only one that sounded a bit different. Another thing that I was confused with is why Luffy's arms just suddenly turned black during his fight with Zed. It just seemed random and out of place as then they were back to normal without a moment's notice. Overall, if you are a One Piece fan, this movie is a must watch. Hell, even if you aren't, check it out as it might get you wanting to see more as it did with one of our friends who was over today. I give it an 8/10 stars. It is probably not as good as Strong World, but it is by far the second best One Piece movie thus far.

Yes, I know as I have read the manga. However, his arms never turned black before. Is this something that occurs after Punk Hazard? That is where I currently am until Viz finishes releasing the volumes for the Dressa Rosa arc.

Because it was the next full length One Piece movie to dub. Plus, it was the most recent movie. Do you think they would have rather waited five years to do it? It was already bad enough waiting as long as they did to give us Strong World.

Yish. I've seen the series a million times before, but this is the first time I'm watching it post-Kai's release and honestly, I'm starting to miss Kai's pacing. Hell, I absolutely prefer the Kai introduction of the Ginyu Force with the Ginyu Force Rules song.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: The Movie 1st: Girl meets talking ferret, talking ferret gives girl a magic wand, girl and ferret collect magical thingies and fight whimsical monsters, all for funsies.
And then a rival appears in the form of a dark and troubled magical girl and things get epic very fast.

The Movie 1st is a retelling of the original season and in that regard it's a pretty amazing redo, the story flows very well in movie format, nothing feels left out, all the characters get enough development and it never feels boring or drags out, granted this is in big part because the original story was simple enough, introduce Nanoha, introduce Fate, show her backstory, make sure to shoot things between that, it was simple enough to compress, but nonetheless it's an entertaining and enjoyable tale.

The action is great, Nanoha unlike other magical girl shows has very amazing action, gone are hearts and cute and cuddly attacks, this gals fight with beam spam, lightning, scythes and everything can be genuinely called a weapon, while the mecha influence is more obvious in Strikers, The 1st already has amazing aerial fights and incredible attacks, plus the animation is solid all the way through.

So all in all, it's every bit as enjoyable as the original show was so many years ago, and that's a win in my books.

Watching Air right now. Barely on episode six and it's already hitting me right in the feels.

The YT uploader I was watching Wing from way taken down yesterday, so I watched the first episode of Gundam X instead. It was... meh. Of what I've seen of Gundam so far, this wowed me the least. Maybe it gets less bland as it goes on...

THere is a reason X was canceled about 35 episodes in.

Trigun: Badlands Rumble


Well, that was a thing. I saw the words "space western" in the description, and felt compelled to watch it. It didn't disappoint on that front, it certainly was a western set in space with a good dose of anime flair. Too bad I don't really like westerns. The priest with the cross bazooka was kinda neat, I guess, and the insurance representatives were entertaining. Was it great? Heck no. Was it good. Not really. Was it a wild, relatively fun movie that I enjoyed but not enough to ever re-watch? Yeah, that kinda sums it up.

So I have just recently finished the Chimera Ant Arc of HunterXHunter and I must say that it really dragged in the middle and made me begin to lose interest in the series all together... however there was one small thing that kept me going and that was the relationship between the Chimera Ant King Meruem and Komugi.

I'm a sucker for the Beauty and the Beast type story line and this has to be one of the best renditions of it I've seen to date, even better than Princess Mononoke, YES I JUST SAID THAT!

I can't exactly say how for fear of spoiling it for those who haven't seen it, but the relationship between the two characters really is worth seeing the entire 100+ episodes that come before it. That and one of the best endings to a long running series makes Hunter X Hunter a classic that needs to be seen by all. What else can I say other than just... GO WATCH IT ALREADY!!!

Watamote so far has been about as painfully awkward to watch as I should have expected it to be.

So I take it I'm the only one who loves the ever living bejeezus out of X?
