I mean, I like Angewomon, and I don't dislike Ophanimon (she was alright in Frontier), but it's my firm belief that we need more dang Piyomons. Piyomon is the one and only female Digimon of a main character whose evolution line didn't go through that bishoujo line crap. Even more so if/when she goes Hououmon. There are way too many cute humanoid """"monster"""" girls in Digimon, and it honestly gets old.

Again, dragon cats are way cooler than chicks in cosplay. They always have been and they always will be. I want more of my digital monsters to be monsters.

Ophanimon in Frontier was fine, but that was as a character. I just don't like altering Tailmon's final form just because it's sexier than cat dragon thing.

As for female Digimon as a whole, that's just how it is, unfortunately. I was going to bring up Antylamon in Tamers, but then I remembered it was originally male in Japan.

I just like Ophanimon for being an Angel.

Ditto, Ophanimon just makes more sense to me as Tailmon/Gatomon's mega form seeing as it naturally progresses from Angewomon.

It's like if Palmon's mega form progressed from Lilymon to like...a giant piranha plant creature instead of Rosemon. Like yeah, plant theme, but it's way too jarring a change.

We know Tailmon's full evolutionary family. How is Ophanimon the natural progression when Angewomon comes out of fucking nowhere and actually breaks the natural flowing chain?

It's always looked so generic mammal that I associated it with a cat, but I guess I can see where you're coming from.

I think the thing for me is, it's not even like they actually evolve from their Perfect to Ultimate forms. It's warp evolution, so they're jumping straight to the finish from Child level (seeing it this way makes stuff like WarGreymon make way more sense, imo). Maybe Holydramon isn't the best followup to Angewomon, but it sure is a decent evolution for Tailmon or Plotmon.

And even if it was, I don't really believe that the transition from angel to cat dragon would necessarily be any more jarring than the transition from cat to angel.

While we're on the subject, I really don't like Rosemon either. Lilimon is a cute flower fairy and a good form for Palmon, but I really don't see the voluptuous plant tentacle lady with slight bondage themes as a good fit for Palmon's character. Her entire design seems to be all about being sexy. It's kinda gross, and it actually makes me a little uncomfortable. Not that I'm saying she should turn into a pirahna plant, but...I'd probably still like that more. Oh well.

To be entirely honest, I just don't like Rosemon because Lalamon used it as her final form first (Rather, in animated media, at least) :lol
