Hey so I was talking about my trouble with runamuck in the How is Everyone thread. Figured I'd post the pics and elaborate here.
https://media.discordapp.net/attachm...325&height=433 https://media.discordapp.net/attachm...325&height=433 So when I try to transform runamuck to alt mode his hips end up in one of these two positions causing the hood to be out of alignment with the tabs on the windows/canopy. https://media.discordapp.net/attachm...577&height=433 What I think the problem is, is that the little black piece, on the bottom leg in this pic, that his knee hinges/collapses on won't go down all the way but I can't seem to figure out why. Edit: Immediately after posting this got the black piece to tap into the shin/carhood, but it won't stay in when I move the leg at all or try to tab the legs together |
Like does the black piece resist being collapsed? Or is it just problematic and gets loose when you successfully collapse it? If it resists to being collapsed, theres probably excess plastic somewhere that's making it hard to collapse completely or theres some misassembly somewhere. I actually got a lemon with ER doubledealer where one of the shoulders was misassembled. Can you post more pics of the black piece and the area around it? Like collapsed and uncollapsed?

Is it pinned? If it is, is it viewable from both sides? Can you check if theres any excess plastic around the stuck joint, on the white part or the black knee joint? Compare both knees and the black joints, are they the same shape, are the both installed the same way. Is it the black part that connected to the right thigh that resists or the part thats connected to the lower leg that resists on the right leg? Judging from your pictures, theres either excess plastic sprue on either the area where the black piece connects to the thigh or on the part where it connects to the lower leg. It could be on the black piece or the white piece it connects to, depends on what part of the knee the resistance is. And i dont see anything off with the pins, but more pics would help. Specifically, where the pins are on either sides of the black joint and on the upper and lower legs that connects to the black joint. Im 50/50 on pins or excess plastic. |
Like Waspinator and wish there were a G. I. Joe style "army-builder" by way of Botcon? You're about to get your chance!

It is baffling to me that a Waspinator-inspired figure with that many accessories doesn't come with plansssss.

Wait, i though Botcon and everything related to it were closed down and would be replaced by HasCon? Is it coming back, or is this a joke? I love that action force is making a transformers referenced figure, seems like old times when hasbro still did crossovers with joe.

It's an unofficial convention now (so don't expect any Hasbro repaints or retools), similar to TFCon. A bunch of people who did the old BotCons are back organizing this one, for better or worse.
