So I prefer the Figuarts one. To be honest, I was actually very disappointed with the Makai version and was glad it was a gift. The Makai version isn't terrible, but his hands and legs fall out of their sockets if you move them more than a CM, whereas the Figuarts has a wide range in both the wrists and ankles. Plus, the Figuarts is accurate to the show instead of stylished like the Makai version. I do like how the Makai one has a movable jaw on his face, but that is about it. The Makai sword is die-cast, but it is so heavy that his arms have to positioned high enough to not just slouch down.

On the other hand, the legs are loose on my Figuarts to the point that I need to find out if there is anything like a reverse shock oil to tighten them up. Other than that, I love it.
