Drive's producer just confirmed that Drive is Kamen Rider meets Knight Rider, making me think that Trideron talks.

The Drive Driver is clearly the KITT analog.

If it has anything to do with the car, maybe the Driver plugs into the dashboard when not in use. That is just a thought though.



PS Who dubs KITT into Japanese? I'm hoping it's the same actor that's voicing the Driver :p

Someone (Aether?) translated Gridon's name as Ornac (acorn backwards instead of donguri backwards), and a lot of people didn't like that.

I hate it. His name is Gridon. Not Ornac.

You mean Aesir, right? Meh, not really worth caring about since Ornac (makes more sense than Gridon, honestly since I don't know of any acorn named Gridon) is hardly anything worth talking about. His character is so bland and one dimensional it is a wonder why they even bothered with him in the first place.

It confused the crap out of me when watching the latest episode.

Someone's probably made this connection already, but I haven't seen it yet. Gaim did a ridiculously clever thing by making the characters "Beat Riders" so that they could call the show Kamen "Rider" without relying too heavily on bikes.

I don't know if that's been confirmed. The Driver talks, like most Driver's do, I just don't know if it's sentient. The way it plugs into the dash of Trideron, I'd certainly think so.

Ornac is my favorite Masked Rider~

In Rider and Sentai, if the character's age is not explicitly stated it is assumed they are the same age as their actors. Much like how it is assumed the current show is always happening in the present unless stated otherwise. There's precedent for both in birthday episodes and whenever a date is given.




As for Gridon vs Ornac, it's so unimportant at this point. His name is spoken like five times at most over the course of 45 episodes. Let it go, people.

PS Translation be damned, Ornac is still the better name. :p

You know what I want to see in the crossover? I want to see Kamen Rider Gaim use a Drive Arms Lockseed and Kamen Rider Drive use something Gaim-related.

Well Drive toy catalog showed lockseed and a shift car covered in black put together in a section, I think it is for the movie wars so possible Drive Lockseed and Gaim car yay!

Don't they technically classify Shadow Moon as a Rider even though he was never called that? I mean he has a henshin device and a motorcycle. I don't think he's the secondary rider but he's definitely Rider-like.

We'll see where he goes though.

Shadow Moon is Rider-like, but "secondary Rider" has become a term people associate with usually heroic riders, which Shadow Moon is not.

Plus Shadow Moon didn't really have a motorcycle, he shared :p
