You know what happens when you ask for teams before Zyuranger? We get Super Megaforce. Do you want that to happen again?

Weren't they 'powers never before seen on Earth'? Or at least, the New Powers/Dairangers were.

Has anyone noticed that it maybe possible to take the front and back pieces of the Red Zeo Racer Zord and use them to make new arm's for the Legendary Megazord? It definitely looks a lot better than the usual way to form the Legendary Zeo Megazord.

If we start ignoring these seasons, then we are no better than those who ignore the Disney-verse. In allowing it, however, we add to the P.R. mythology and make it more unique while merging its lore with that of Sentai. And while Saban might not be the type to want do something many may view as "superfluous", I think he might accept if there was an acceptable toyline to boot. P.S.: They found more than just ET in that dump. On top of that, many have since reexamined the condemnation of the ET game since the discovery. |
Change-Maskman dubs and a couple exclusive figure packs and Megazords?
...hmmm.... Zord-builder Flashking. I can't tell if that's blasphemous to Super Sentai or not. |

P.S.: Zord-Builder Flash King works only if you alter the parts and transformation. The jets have this fascinating bar-work "skeletal structure" so-to-speak which extends and interlocks with the tank to form the complete body. The jets would have to forego this unique measure in favor of physical separation so as to justify the Zord-Builder ports and staple features, if you want to call it that. |
God, as much as I want Flashking, Zord Builder would just kill it. The bars to create the arms, legs, and base that the jets use just won't flow well with Zord Builder. Knowing how they operate, they'd just have the jets split in two to for the arms and legs, rather than having their rather neat transformation.

What is the point you're trying to make?

These are just a few questions that would be asked before Saban Brands even considers doing this. It is a good idea to explain things to the adult fans, but the kids don't care. In those episodes they saw Troy and that is all that really mattered to them (red is the most popular). Although this could be a great fan project and present it to Saban for them to sign off on making it cannon (don't know how possible or likely that is). |

And yet sadly the idea won't get made. Saban only has a certain budget to throw out at the different a shows the company does. There will only ever be one current season of power rangers, no more. Your point of seeing this past series isn't going to go any where in reality. There is VERY little market and value in doing it, Saban Brands will continue to focus on the current series and plan for future adaptations of recent Super Sentai Series. Also the kids and more than likely the majority of adults either forgot about it or don't care. It's the past it happened move on, make fan fiction,,but writing up long posts isn't going to change a thing.

Honestly all I ever wanted was a Retrofire Wonder Gosei Great made from the Retrofire Gosei Great.

I still don't think Bandai is dumb enough to put out a competing toy line when their main line would still be on the shelves. Releasing new toys of the show is how they keep kids interested in the show during the break, so why would they compete with themselves? What little sales they might get from the sister show would be money taken away from the current show. I understand your reasons for wanting this show to be made and I agree with them, but there is nothing for Saban Brands and Bandai to gain by making it. You are looking at this from an adult fan's perspective and not a business perspective; Saban and Bandai would lose more than they would gain from doing this. The fans would gain more knowledge of the Power Rangers legacy, but that could be supplemented with online shorts on the official website. It doesn't need a show. And the footage would look terrible on modern TV's. Imagine old Flashgun footage on a 70 inch plasma...horrible. Lol |

P.S.: I had NO INTENTION of relying solely on outdated Sentai footage. Changeman, Flashman, Maskman, Fiveman, and Dairanger were made when TV ratios were different. Ever seen Dragon Ball Z Kai on Toonami? That and the age would conflict horribly. The benefit here is that four of the five had movies which MIGHT have been done in widescreen, and that is something to consider. Add that with unused Gokaiger footage and some New Zealand shoots and there might be a chance. The rights to the movies, like the 199 Hero Special, would also be beneficial and necessary. I'm also not saying that the teams would appear every two seconds. They should (and would have to) be used rather sparingly, but when focus should happen, IT SHOULD HAPPEN IN FORCE!!! |
But Toku Knight, any of this idea would not be made, there is no nostalgia. Sure it's cool to know that there were sentai out of Zyuranger, but that's it. Zyuranger became the original Mighty Morphin, people grew up with that, but there is nothing with Pre-Zyu. Dairanger has some nostalgia, if only for the Megazord Footage.
Although the only way for your idea to come to light would probably be through Boom! They are now doing comic books for Power Rangers, but still that chance is like smaller than an atom. |

TokuKnight, I get what you are trying to say, I really do, but doing something like this would still cost money and without merch to make that money back, there is no reason to go on this venture. That is exactly how Saban Brands would respond while also saying that it is a cool idea.
Having the show on late defeats the purpose of it being a kids' show. That would aim toward the adult demographic and I am sure that Nick would not air it. They just wouldn't. If this stuff went online (where Saban and nick could sell the advert dollars to help fund it) that could be more realistic, but it still wouldn't make enough to justify it's production. And VR Troops, Mystic Knights, and those other toku shows that Saban did weren't direct competition to Power Rangers. They were all different shows that appealed to different audiences. That is why only one of those is still on the air. Even in Japan, those shows don't/didn't compete because they attract different audiences and are marketed to different audiences. The Legacy line is marketed to adult collectors, the main toy line (that gets a wider release and at a much more affordable price point) is where the vast majority of the toy money comes from. Look at it this way; there are tons of people that want to collect all the figures and zords from a season. Those are released across two years. A person spends more on buying five rangers, the main megazord, the villain figure, and the henchman than they do on one TRU exclusive megazord. That is why Legacy line toys are sparsely released whereas main line toys are hammered away over the course of 24 straight months. And starting a legendary line of toys wouldn't garner as much money as you think. Five teams of rangers (20 figures) four megazords (if they even do those since they weren't seen in the show...they could just say it was before megazords were a thing), and potential for figures of the villains and allies during the footage of their backstory. Sure, let's get a pregnant Rita 5 inch figure. That would look...awkward as shit on a display. Or have an episode where the Zeo rangers are just hanging out before karate tournament at the beginning of the Turbo movie. Or a young Ninjor fig (I would actually buy that, so that is a legit idea) and why he chose dinos for the original power coins (or were they since there were five previous teams?). This show just isn't a smart business venture. Even with great fan support, I think Saban Brands would not even consider doing it. Would Chip Lynn run this? Cause he is busy on the regular season, but you know who is available and a family friend of Haim Saban's? Jonathan Tzachor; consider that for a sec. All of your ideas as handled by JT. Let it sink in. So if Nick wouldn't air it, the toy line wouldn't make enough money to sustain the show, JT could end up as the show runner, and the big wigs at Saban wouldn't see the profit in producing the show, I would think that it wouldn't happen. The best bet (read that as cheapest option for Saban Brands) is to address this stuff in the comic books as MrHerofan stated. |
Legendary Zeo Megazord
I have just learned that not including the center piece of the Red Zeo Racer Zord that you can take one half of the zord to form a new arm and the other half for the other arm before putting the center piece into the chest of the Legendary Megazord, which means that you can form a slightly better version of the Legendary Zeo Megazord instead of placing all of the parts onto the same Zord Ports that you would normally use for all five pieces of the SPD Zord. Has anyone else realised that?

We could have a dark season in the future ?
|
The odds of there being a dark season in PR are about as likely as Kamen Rider getting another crossover here in America.
