That’s about it honestly. Not much that interests me here. But Powermaster/Headmaster Prime got more interesting, his Optimus Prime helmet actually is a helmet that attaches in a Transformers Victory "Battle Up!" kind of fashion. Underneath the helmet is the Headmaster who looks like Orion Pax in head-mode.

Meh, I shouldn't have expected it, because it's about the new things to come, but am still a bit disappointed we didn't see anything of the lingering Combiner Wars releases. No Computron, no word on Blast Off and Groove, no Leokaiser.. It's probably BotCon we'll learn anything one way or the other on them, but don't want to wait that long before ordering Takara's Bruticus so I might as well just go get it over with. Even if there are things with the final colored product I just don't like. Just like my excuses with Devastator, he'll be in combined mode 95% of the time so any individual shortcomings won't be too relevant to me in the end.

Oh but what we did see with Titans Returns I'm very happy with. Mindwipe is looking great. I'm pretty impressed with how different Fort Max looks compared to Metroplex.

Mindwipe is a pretty neat choice.
He's no Snapdragon, but I'm down~

Chromedome looks pretty nice; might get him to go with Rewind.

Oh I’m sure Snapdragon will come around eventually. He and Apeface fit the "Voyager class Headmaster Triple Changer"-formula that Hasbro’s currently using way too well.

I mean, if you make Galvatron & freakin’ Sentinel Prime not only Headmasters but also Triple Changers (yes I realize Sentinel is a pre-tool of Astrotrain, but still), you might as well release the only two non-citybot figures that ever had both of these gimmicks in the past. Unless I'm forgetting someone.

But still, I think we’ll see those two soon enough.

Looking at the box looks like it's supposed to be teal or turquoise but that plastic color does not mesh well with that deep red it's too faded looking.

Either that is some messed up lighting or they went way overboard in toning down the turquoise. I'm guessing it's the former.

Pretty easy decision for me which versions I'll buy now.

I'm... not sure what the differences are? Probably not enough in this case for me to want to get them instead, but definitely do think it's a little ridiculous how quickly they're changing what Hasbro's putting out this time.

Still don't think I'd want to pay for just those differences, but yeah I see the appeal.

They're basically trying to make the heads as cartoon-accurate as possible, and I like that.

I can’t wait to see what they do with Powermaster Prime, they might go beyond just giving him a new Headmaster because of Super Ginrai. Maybe they actually retool him into a Powermaster and make Ginrai a Godmaster engine.

Yeah, as good as the Hasbro Prime looks I'm all for getting as much Masterforce detail out of him as possible.

I like that Takara are getting in on this early so I don't inadvertently lock myself into any preorders I decide not to keep.

I had no intention of getting Powermaster Prime, but maybe I will keep an open mind for what Takara might do to it.

I'm relieved that the paintjob looks so much better now, last week he still missed fur on his head and around his chest which made me think if that's who he’s gonna look in person. Glad I'm wrong, the updated paintjob looks fantastic. I hope he goes up for pre-order in April.

MP-32 Optimus Primal is releasing in October for 12000 yen.

(Kind of higher than I hoped..)

I expected to pay 100 bucks, shipping included, and it looks like I will do that. Not too surprised, electronics and the new type of paint used to simulate the fur do look pricey combined with the usual engineering and plastic which goes into a MP.

October is a bit late, but oh well; at least he finally has a release window.
