Something interesting I noticed about the helmet is that Ghost has the usual big eyes, but that material with the bug eyed effect that they use for the riders, is all over the face, but the eyes are plain black with no effect.

More than likely, he'll find out that if he doesn't collect the 15 souls in 99 days, the "mystery person/thing" that gave him the belt will tell him that he'll die again if he doesn't. "Takeru is given a secondary life and- by using the Eyecon with the Ghost Driver– is reborn as a Kamen Rider!" It all points to the "thing" that gives him the belt being manipulative and having him capture these souls because he wants them for some other reason and knows that Takeru will use the wish to stay alive. |

Well my bad then since the translation I read said by using the Driver he would have a "temporary life" which strongly indicated that he is technically still dead and only alive as long as hes using the Driver. |
I'm sure the story behind it will be fine either way but having him dead could be fun and different. Also I'm sure he is going to wish for something other than his life because of character growth and such.
|
Sure the story will probably fine just make ma alot less interested in the show overall right now.

Means one of a couple of things. It can't fight them anymore. The Famous Ghosts will be corrupt and need to be fought, hence the whole purple picture with the monster by the Eyecon. It wants to use them for evil means, but knows how powerful they are so uses an random person to do his dirty work unknowingly. |

Man, everything about this show just gets better and better right? Nothing really to add beyond echoing alot of what has already been said.
So I think I actually kinda want the Ghost driver, how much are those usually at release? |

I guess we'll see once we get more information, though. |

There is something that I don't think I like about Ghost. It's the hoodie. Don't get me wrong, I really love the hoodie, but I don't like how it hangs over the belt. I think Ghost would look even better than he does if the belt wrapped around the hoodie. Kinda like how Wizard's belt goes around his long coat, or how the Go-Busters belt was around their jackets.

Low-res but full catalog page scan! Best look yet at the Ghost Driver. :D
And fans who attended the preview screening confirmed Kamen Rider Ghost DOES have a cameo in "Surprise-Future!" A couple items were noted from people at the screening- *Ghosts' actor is uncredited for the cameo; we'll have to wait until the official reveal to learn that. *Fans had the impression that Ghost was something of a "dark hero," meaning this may not be a lighthearted series. *Ghost has the ability to float in midair during battle, just like his spiritual namesakes. |
A rainbow array of eyeballs. Really takes the edge off the whole undead thing. I must have them for my shelf.
|
People also said he "floats" when he fights... Hope the special effects for that aren't too horrendous.

They could use the wire-system they use for the super jumps and keep the fighting simpler, I would like that better than a CGI-shitfest. |
I'm starting to wonder if there isn't more to that fashion rumor aside from the hoodies. I mean Billy The Kid soul clearly has a cowboy hat on its head, and I just can't imagine that being part of the hood. Perhaps he is pulling a KR Skull in that form, with a kickass brown denim style jacket. The soul that appears to use two eyecons looks like it has a long coat on.
Ghost may have more style than Wizard ever did. |

Guy! Calm down!
If rumor does confirmed that Yasuko Kobayashi will head-write Ghost, She can make it as entertaining and best story-wise show. The reason of why Wizard fail because Tsuyoshi Kida was not big name writer like Yasuko Kobayashi, Toshiki Inoue, Riku Sanjo and even Gen Urobuchi! And his first head-write show, Hibiki got him replaced by well-known Toshiki Inoue |

Secondly: Wizard failed because it was a show with almost zero ambition or originality. It had a couple of good ideas and a fantastic lead, but it squandered both on a paint-by-numbers generic post-Den-O Rider series. Thirdly: Never compare someone unfavorably to Toshiki Inoue. Just... just don't. Quote:

Takatera didn't refuse. He was simply being asked to leave the team by the people up there. He did changed his vision. The summer makamou and Kurenai was his decision to promote the drum and sticks one last time. |

While I do like him as well, it's more due to his non-series appearances, where he somehow comes off as more of a fleshed-out character. It's weird how Wizard is cooler in things that aren't his own series. |
Yeah, I can't agree at all about Haruto. The guy has about as much development as a Showa rider. Not that the Showa riders did not get development, but for the most part, they never truly advanced as a character outside of a few episodes.

Though if we talk about good cast, I'd rather ask for Gaim or Drive level, even though it might be hard to get such good actors three years in a row. Quote:

I don't know if I would say least well written, that kind of goes to Shinnosuke. The Shift Cars have had more development.
Oh, and you forgot Kiva, which was also a great Inoue show. |
Quote:
Haruto had no development, the only times we learned something about him where flashbacks from which he had already learned his morals so whatever. He was literally the same dude from start to finish. Shinnosuke at least changes a little bit and he has some conflict with the whole murder of his dad thingy. |
Yeah, at first one of my biggest gripes about Shinnosuke was that he got no development.
That's changed drastically since Drive hit its 30 episode mark. Shinnosuke has had plenty of development. |
Quote:
Shinnosukes development comes from the refusal to change. When he is up against the police department and forced to fight a fow who is outmatching him not just in physical power but in political power as well he refuses to back down. Logically he wouldnt be able to win this battle and knows that he will eventually die but he still keeps fighting for what he thinks is right. He is presented with a moral conflict and is given the opportunity for change. Be a subservient police officer and stop working on the case and do what your superiors tell you to do or stay the way you are and keep investigating and trying to expose the corruption inside of the established order of the police department. |
I haven't seen him in the series except for the first episode, but in the movies I've seen him in Haruto is an amazing character to me.
I hope Ghost gets a solid writer on the series honestly. I know their is a lot of Inoue hate but I must be the crazy one because I love all the stuff he's done on Kamen Rider, so I personally wouldn't mind him. I wouldn't mind someone new/has written on some series but hasn't been a main writer before. |

Wizard was a mess of a show that I struggled to defend at the time and have subsequently cooled on in almost every regard, but I will always stand up for Haruto as one of the best Riders. |
