The purple cube's '?' seems like a counterpart to Cube Giraffe's '!'; leading me to assume that the purple cube is an auxillary mech, like Giraffe appears to be.

That was rather cute. I enjoyed seeing them do stuff like bowl and shop, as well as having red run in and tell them there is trouble.

However, the last two series that were more happy go lucky fun turned out to be rather lacking, so my hopes aren't exactly raised.

It's nice to see more of the animal suits, too~

The DX still looks absolutely awful, but the Minipla is awesome! I've been getting into Minipla more lately so I'm really looking forward to this one.

How quaint, the Minipla has proportions.
I might pick it up depending on my feelings towards the series.

The toys do nothing to change my view point on the series. The megazord still looks awful and the role play stuff is just there. There is nothing grabbing my attention this year which is such a shame.

Watching the DX toy demo, the only thing I could think is: "man, it is going to be really funny when this comes out in the US 2-3 years from now and Minecraft will have become super dated."

Interesting! So in addition to Zyuoh Eagle's wings, it looks like Tiger and Lion get claws, Elephant gets giant feet, and Shark gets a fin. Hm.

...and the Zyuohchanger comes with little, plastic figures of the main Zyuohgers? Interesting. I'm not sure what format the individual cubes-with-figures are: candy toys, maybe? I wonder how functional they'll be.

I think I'm set on getting the minipla, now, and perhaps the changer, as well. All the buttons appear to be functional, if I understand the video correctly; I didn't expect lights in addition to the sounds. Seems like it has more functions - I mean the self-contained kind, rather than the buy-widgets kind - than last few henshin devices.

Wow the Megazord is even worse in action. Doesn't even auto-transform completely.

Stack 'em up. Put a big stick through the totem. Badaboom. ZyuOhKing.
I'm a little underwhelmed. So not only does the various zords feature parts that should be on the others (Shark having yellow parts, eagle having blue pieces to make it look more involved in terms of combination), the head isn't even part of any mech? Huh...

Well, the show itself isn't looking too hot based on what they're showing me, with a poor main toy and the most generic villains ever.
Could be wrong, could be good, but first impressions and all that...

I really like it. Its kinda unique. Its quirky. The robots sword is really small tho. And its too pricy for what it is. I feel like the huge sword thing will become a sword in future combinations.

Coming from a Transformers background, it seems to me that the main DX Sentai Robot are heading towards being One Step Changers too~ XP The Minipla on the other hand looks amazing.

Anyone have thoughts on what the other weapon cube/8th animal in the combo-mech will be? ZyuohKing is starting to warm up to me design-wise. Functionality? Not a fan. The Ape-Tiger-Elephant mecha has definitely caught my eye, as well as the silohuette/profile for the 8-piece combo.

Speculation-wise: I do agree that given the design of the stylus you insert to morph ZyuohKing, it could become a sword for a bigger mecha.

Given the fact that our first Combo Mech is 8 pieces, I think/hope that this means a large number of animals for the final combination.

Those animal names are from the lyrics of the opening. There are some rumors that they can be more auxiliary animals or visor up modes.

Gaoranger says hello. All we need is a Hammerhead and an Armadillo and we have all the animals from the Zen-Aku arc. And we always need more Hammerheads and Armadillos :)

I'm still not swayed in my opinion that this is just TOO weird for my tastes. If the price is right...maybe. Still disappointed that the anniversary series didn't do a better homage to the classic 80's mecha.
