I get you, I pay import fees for everything. It really sucks. Doesn't matter if NY undervalues the contents, if there's no real bill attached to a package they want me to come and pick it up, every time.

The only thing you could realistically blame Tamashii for is for not using the western market to their advantage. The Dragonball line is only as strong as it is because western collectors gobble it up, so I would've made a much bigger attempt at selling Showa Godzilla and see if the western profits can make up for the lack of sales in Japan.

EDIT: Sorry if that sounded a bit rough, it wasn't really directed at you personally but more at the source since I now know why so many people bash this guy. It is funny in a way, but I have seen people blame this guy like it's his fault and that ticked me off a bit.

For it was around the time he appeared that the line started it's decline after Godzilla 2014. So it's easy to see why some want this guys hide. Especially the Showa crowd.

Anyway, The Shin set releases soon. If they are ANY good, then I will jump on them on Jungle or Mandy.

Oh, so anyway I think I should give some critique about my copy, but I don't think I got anything to add that's not been said already... so I'll talk about the QC issue my Godzilla got:

So first I'd like to point out that I got the reissue version. The original was just too pricey at the moment and preferred to wait till the reissue come out. And the first issue I have with is the lack of prominent red on the figure. The red highlights are too dark to see making Shin looks like a ball of lava after cooling down. The only way you can notice it in picture is when you use the camera flash. The red should've been brighter on this.

Other QC issues are random white splotches on the left side of the arm and the tip of some fins on the back. They're not supposed to be bones because the bone parts were colored white on the toes and the awakening version doesn't have them.

But the biggest issue I have? As in the biggest eyesore of this toy? The tail. Why is there a section not filled in with red glow? Why is there another section colored very light brown in between darker brown parts? It's really irritating to look at!

It's stuff like these I tend to prefer looking at figures with my own eyes in hand before purchasing them.

I love that first pic. It was my favorite scene in the movie and you replicated it really well, great use of the Tamahsii building sets and fire effect parts!

With the reveal of the new figures, I am excited again for this line. Seems as though everyone is waiting for the "death" of S.H. Monsterarts, but it just keeps going. Let's face it, Showa releases will just be few and far between. Wish it wasn't the case, but at least they are not completely ignored. Looking forward to the future of this line.

Also, the Chogokin Kiryu from last year's Tamashii Nations has a number now, GX-103, so he'll go up for pre-order soon I imagine. Super excited for this one, I think I mentioned it before but "Godzilla against Mechagodzilla" is among my favorite movies and SHMA Kiryu was my first ever figure from Tamashii Nations. So I want this badly!
