A new sub-group is working on Magiranger and are going to release soon. Which is good news for anybody interested in the series because tv-nihon's is dreadful.

The DVD quality video is definitely an alluring prospect. The video quality is my biggest qualm with a lot of Nihon's early stuff, that and some of the errant translations.

Let's just hope that the translation is up to snuff and everything. I'm going to be optimistic and say it'll be good, but in the worst case it can't be any worse than TV-N's early work.

Pretty much every posts mention Flashman. Even the first post on the main page. Just because the pics are from Turboranger and Kyoryuger doesn't mean there is nothing about Flashman in the post.

You seem to just assume everyone is going to know this automatically refers to Flashman. Well obviously it doesn't. There is no need to be a dick about it. And if I offended you, I'm sorry. But what can you expect from a fansub group that did one episode of Changeman, whined like a ***** when people called it out for not having accurate translations, quit like a *****, then does one episode of Flashman and not a single episode more after more than two months? Sorry for my skepticism.

Flashman is their only project. I post the link to this post in particular because that's the one where they mention how they will release them.

They have a real translator and the new team accept the critics, negativ or positiv and they even got some help from other subbers who gave them some advices. Their first episode was well received. They Just want to release the serie by batch. Other group do the same thing. The first batch will have the first five episode + the movie. That's why It take some times. Morover, the translater work on Turboranger as well.

That's why i told you to read the whole thing. Not because i'm mean, but because everything is explained on their site.

Uhm. Hello.. I'm Angel, and I actually volunteer as a QC'er for LFSSS (and encode their .MP4 files when they're ready for release). I've actually seen the majority of the episodes and movie that are supposed to be included with the first batch already, so a release should be on the horizon as far as I know, if that information cheers you up any....... :X

Does any subbing group have plans to work on J.A.K.Q?

Delta I believe has talked about it, but I wouldn't hold my breath. At this point i consider anything pre-bioman on the unlikely to never list of ever being fully subbed.

Maybe not for now but people we go back and do those eventually.

Six years ago people said that we would never have Kuuga or any of the Showa Shows before Black fully subbed and well that changed.

I'd say one show (stronger) being fully subbed isn't the most encouraging prospect. it seems more like and outlier rather than proof that one day we'll see subs.

that's not to say I don't want to see them, but with each passing year it gets much harder to hold onto these holy grails of shows we want to see. Especially if you're like me who enjoys early showa era.

the entire hesei era being fully subbed doesn't seem that far fetched the earliest material is done and the material is only 20-ish years old. With both Rider and Sentai you're talking 40/45 years ago when the earliest shows were on the air. A lot of people working on subs for these shows grew up watching them, I cant say for certain but I really doubt there's many 50+ year old fans interested in subbing these shows from their childhood.outside of a dedicated few the demand for them over say better Dekaranger subs or Gaim Blurays versions isn't as strong.

My personal preference would be to see them all subbed, every series, every episode, movie, special, and once Rider and Sentai are wrapping up maybe see some Metal Heroes.

I just think a complete collection of any showa show is highly unlikely, and I don't say that happily

Stronger, Amazon and V3 are all fully subbed with the original and skyrider pretty likely to wrap up in the next two years. Non Rider shows like Zubat and Kikaider also got finished with akumaizer being in the works. So yeah there are enough people that are interested in doing those shows.

It doesnt matter when these shows aires. Kuuga might be a relative recent show but people were still screaming about the show never being done same with Black RX or alot of the 90s Sentai. Thats the point. Those thing will get subbed not right now and it will probably take another six years for older shows to be finished but as long as groups like kitsubs exist those shows will get done.
