Don't know about creating "flashpoints" at will or intentionally, though that may get attempted at some point. But like Den-O and Kiva, Time travel has ramifications which will likely be explored and used. (BTW. The correct term for that is "Zero point" as in "Zero hour". Meaning point of origin where things can change. Flashpoint is called flashpoint because it was about the Flash. So if the show makes mention of it, it'll likely use the proper terms, not the comic marketing terms. Terminator for example, deals in "Zero Points", as in the fulcrums to which the future can be changed in different directions because of divergent points. Like how Doctor Who plays with the concept of fixed points and other timey wimey elements. Fixed points are moments in history that can't be altered or everything else alters. They are also "Zero points" as in the zero hour to which everything else grew out of. Like Dominoes essentially. Change one's orientation, or remove it, and the rest either don't fall or barely get tapped to fall and only wobble, or sometimes do still fall. Depending on how closely placed together they are or how the orientation on them has changed.)

TBH, I'm expecting this series to end in a way that it sets up the next series as something the rampant time travel causes to set in motion. To then likely like Decade had, a follow up special or series of specials. That then fully bleeds over into the full Rider 50th of the new generation as something entirely new and fresh with a full show theme that hasn't been used yet. I expect the next series to be very classic influenced though of before these 20 series. The one after is the one that'll go full forward into new. So Zi-O as 20 causes 21 to happen, then 22 is full refresh.

Marketing-wise, with the story elements they've presented us, that seems the best way to get the denliner rolling and picking up speed to crash into the next era with all engines revving at full force. Like an expectation barrier that's about to be shattered.

Kind of like how OOO's henshins. Two coins on each side, then the middle to go forward with the change. TBH, I think Toei has been building to something big that no one could expect with these next four series. And whatever comes after.

Also find it interesting that W is a vertical split of two beings, then build is slanted. Now Zi-O is horizon line/horizontal. Like turning a dial, or even spinning a clock face. :lolol

Someone helpfully posted a timeline of forms in the "First scans" thread, and it seems likely to me that suggests a structure for the early part of the show.

Although the series is supposed to start in September, the first stuff on the timeline is for late August. At this point, it's not a surprise when the final episodes of a Rider series feature the next Rider (or at least the next Rider's evil twin for no apparent reason), but it occurs to me that Build could segue into Zi-O in a way that never would've worked for prior Rider series, but doing so would mean that the story of Build might functionally end a couple of episodes before the series ends. (A bit like Wizard, I suppose.)

Also, the picture suggests that Zi-O will have visited eleven different series and acquired the Ride Watches for twelve previous Riders in its first three-and-a-half months. If the show has a Decade-like structure, this means we'd be blowing through prior Rider series at a breakneck pace. Of course, I'm assuming that as in Decade, Zi-O will acquire a new Rider power in each storyline, but some form debuts (like Zi-O using the Ghost Ride Watch a month and a half after Gates) are spread out over time. I'm hoping that rather than being linear, Zi-O will be a series that can bounce back and forth. Otherw

Also curious: why does the Wizard Ride Armor take up two slots? Does the story actually slow down and do something other than introduce toys for a week? That's usually when recent shows have started to get good.

Hm. Just noticed they also hit every neo-Heisei series before mid-December, with just a hint at the first nine with the 555 Armor Time for Gates. Probably not a coincidence that we'll see the Hei-sabre around that time, as well as what I suspect will be the first proper upgrade in Decade. (Well, unless that's an entirely different Rider using the Decade armor, either a new character to Tsukasa.)

I'm expecting zi-o to suck at ghost levels. Not as bad as decade, but a little worse than den-o.

So it seems that even the show suits show that Zi-O and Gates interchange the armors. On the underside of Gates(Ghost)'s arm, you can see that instead of black armor, it's silver, which is in line with what Zi-O(Ghost) looks like. Not sure how I feel about having the back of the armor look just like the front but in another color scheme.

Time travel and bringing back past rider powers has not been done well imho.

It amazes me how people seriously thought Bandai/Toei was going to do a female main Rider. That's literally why Pretty Cure exists.

Although it's extremely likely that Decade will appear, so maybe. I wouldn't wager on it because it's a ten-year-old narrative blunder that's been made a little worse each time it's been brought up; what writer would want to touch that? (Wasn't he in the Heisei-vs-Showa film from a few years ago, and didn't his role there make even less sense than usual?)

If something happens to Zi-O, and if Decade appears, I hope he offers him his power and Rider Watch.

And Zi-O can defend Decade from Narutaki to prove that that Tsukasa's a hero too and not a destroyer.

Now that we have a full image of the suit, I can safely say I'm a bit torn on it. The upper half looks great, but the bottom half looks a little too basic. I feel like there should have been more highlights around the legs.

Number theory has always been off by one. W wasn't 2, W was 11.
So it's always been for the double digits added together. 11=2(1 side each is a person, so 2 people make 1 rider), 12=3(3 coins). 13=4(Fourze uses four switches), 14 = 5(wizard uses rings, 5 fingered henshin device) etc. So Zi-O resets the count like a stop watch clearing the numbers.

19 is back to 1(1+9=10, 1+0=1, the double sided rider is 1 person), and 20 is still 2(2+0=2, the show starts off with 2 riders that play with the numbers that effectively ends number theory).

Number theory has always loved to mess with the count like that though.
Even with Faiz, it wasn't 5, it was 4. Though it did toy with how 555 is all made up phone numbers. (Which oddly enough, is an american hollywood thing predominately...) Same as how Hibiki was 6 and about Oni, yet the 6 thing for devils/demons is also a more American/European thing. But then the show was steeply immersed in Japanese lore and cultural aspects to counter balance that.

Surprising thing about number theory is it does date back to Faiz. It wasn't noticed until the blatant W, OOO, Fourze, and Wizard though.

They've been doing this for much of Heisei. W was also the 20th series, but 11th of Heisei. Double 1s. Same as how decade was 10th of Heisei but 19 overall. 1+9 and it started with Kiva appearing. Number theory is more involved than many think when you really dive into it. It's straight up chalkboard style equations. Like what Build uses to make gadgets.

I've got the feeling that either Gates is the "mysterious girl" or more interestingly, Gates is a servant of the "Demon King" would make sense given that Zi-O is the "Demon to destroy the world." Either that, or Zi-O's the villain, and Gates is the hero/heroine who gets their powers from the villain.

It would make a lot of sense if Gates is trying to track down the mysterious girl though, Dark Drive style. Would make for a very interesting rivalry between Gates and Zi-O.
