I mean, how can you understand from the first episode or even from the first ten that the show is similar to Faiz? Even if Rider's belt is stolen, it might just be a light reference. Was Kiva very similar to Faiz? Or Donbrothers? Well, this is not a comedy series (and then, are Den-O and Fourze really that much alike?) or Amazons 18+, where they immediately let you know what awaits you. Therefore, even if the entire film crew says that the show will be similar to Faiz, I will not believe them until I am convinced myself. Trite because it might not work.

I think Inoue's works are all pretty similar in tone and the tropes he uses. It's not like Faiz is all teeth and death either, there's a lot of comedy as well, like how Build uses comedy to contrast its very drama-heavy plot. Amazons is more like a PG-13 by Japanese standards though. For works that have an inconsistent tone, Hibiki and EX-Aid comes to mind for me. Even Agito was a little choppy.

Yes, but for some reason, fans want Faiz, and not his other series. Plus, I have a guess that when making Kiva, they just wanted to take the best from Faiz and Den-O, mix it up, add a chic visual and get a masterpiece. Slightly failed, although, for me, the result is not bad.
Otherwise, I agree, except for Hibiki's tone jumps ... Personally, I think that the reason is that in this show we are not shown a story with a beginning, an end and an idea that needs to be conveyed, but a segment of life. And everything happens in life.

Yeah, I don't think anyone is seriously trying to tie them up. Rather, you just want to see something similar to your favorite season again, which is moving away (well, if a new favorite does not appear). And, again, I am convinced that even if the show is a complete double of the same Faiz, it will not be clear from the first episode. In addition, the scriptwriters themselves hint to us which seasons of Reiwa and Heisei are connected. 01 with Ex-Aid (by the way, I'm the only one who feels bad that we lost Vulcan and the entire MetsubouJinrai, getting Dan Kuroto in return?), and Saber with Ghost.

The whole linking hesei and reiwa series thing is honestly pretty goofy to me. Like I wouldn't be shocked if there was some effort on toei's part to create some vague similarities, but rider generally has a lot of tropes and idea recycling, and the shows are so long that I think you could pretty easily draw comparisons between any two random shows....

Like I think the most compelling one is "saber and ryuki" and that's literally just that the main character is a red dragon and a knight, and there's a lot of riders and that's like literally all the substantial similarities (and calling even those "Susbatantial" is being generous lol). It feels very likely it was totally coincidental since Saber is story book themed so it's not shocking to me in the least that the main character is themed after dragon and knight stories, that was always going to be the obvious route for that theme

Oh and, forgot if anyone mentioned this prior, this month's TV-Kun (that has already teased it'll feature Geats) has been confirmed to be on the 29th (28th i believe for folks living on the other side of the planet). If I had to guess, I'd say then the conference will be in the middle of that week (26th-27th). I'd also say that pretty much confirms Geats' appearance in BF(being a week after its premiere sounds about right), but they could always pull a Drive/Saber on us and not showing them for whatever reason.

I'll start with how Blade and Gaim both turn into monsters by the end of their respective shows.

Just because Kouta and Kenzaki both turn into godlike beings doesn't mean that the two shows have ANY sort of connection. Again, that's just a giant stretch. Kamen Rider and Super Sentai recycle tropes, yea, but there isn't a pointed meaning or connection between them.

Gaim and Madoka have WAY more similarities and connections with each other than Gaim and Blade do, even taking into consideration the fact that Urobuchi wrote both of them.

1) As some of you might know, Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbarizing (the arcade game with the cards that you see commercials for if you watch Rider live) will be celebrating its 10th anniversary soon! As part of the festivites.........

And there you have it folks! Our first (public) look at Geats will seemingly be after Revice's 45th episode airs! (To be fair, that could mean the press conference is actually sometime next week (17th-23th) instead of the last week of the month, because idk why one would save the big reveal for the arcade game instead of something that'd reach more people....)

2) More rumors about Geats! Tbh there have been lots of recent rumors swirling around Geats that I haven't brought to this thread bc they weren't really interesting/regigurating older rumors/sounded fake, but I think one sounds really cool:

Even more so than the rumors, take it with a huge grain of salt since there's literally no way to tell if this is just someone's personal hero design/local hero cropped and being used for clout or not. I'm of the opinion that it's fake (It doesn't quite look like a Rider suit to me?) personally.

The not sold on the promise fo bike action since Revice had a hover bike that has not ben used sincec the raid on the Deadmans hideout, the scarf being a fox's tail is a cool, and the gimick is whatever until I see it in action.

Also the rumored suit looks decent but the lack of scarf and nothing else looking like Kitsune leads me to suspect it's not Geats.

Most likely a straight commercial drop after 45. My stream's are usually laggy as hell watching the show live but I'm pretty sure Ganbarizing has always been on top of the whole "You saw the form in the show just now, now come play them in the game!" thing. Checking their socials, they've already got a card + showcase for Live/Evil's new form, which I imagine played on TV immediately after the episode.

Makes sense... Wonder if maybe this means we could get a cameo for Geats in episode 45 then to cross-promote the card a bit more?

Rapid fire news betwen the 22nd-24th is the only thing I can think of, honestly. The problem is, there's usually a "spoiler buffer" for movies to press conferences. (Well, maybe less of a spoiler buffer and more of the "Letting the movie have its moment before flooding the audience with more news", and "letting kids brag on the playground that they've already seen the New Rider while the rest of their playmates have to wait until commericals start rolling to get a glimpse". lol)

The shortest movie-to-conference period in recent memory is Zi-O, which took only 3 days. Of course, the conference can happen before the movie (see: 01 and Bulid) but it's super rare, yknow?

As for the Revice cameo......probably the worst time ever to do one? Revice is starting its final phase next week, after all. They've a lot of ground to cover, it seems. Personally, I would've done it this this week, when Sakura is falling off the bridge, I would've made it a more dangerous height to fall from, but have Geats break her fall or something, then swiftly slink away before she can thank them...

Personally, I'm reminded of the cool, otherworldly cameos of Ghost in the Drive finale. Again, we don't know anything specific about the Geats lore, only rumors and speculation about the stage and space. If you take them for the truth, he might just be on the news in the background, it will be the most delicate cameo in the franchise.
As for the new rumors: it looks like the fox is still true. Unless someone misunderstood and the Geats are actually a coyote or a squirrel. A scarf is cool, and it's time for Reiwa to get her first rider with a scarf.
Regarding the change of the lower and upper half of the costume: it's cool if the final form was spoiled for us so early (considering the traditions of the Reiwa, I won't be surprised). The costume is most likely a local hero of some of the Inari shrines.

same leaker also stated that this suit is real, however, it's Geats after he's had an "upper body form change" without any of the rest of armor pieces. (Basically, its an unfinished form change and not representative of Geats' main look will be.)

Well, while the news is cool. The theme of the riders is animals, and rarely used in the franchise (well, maybe as monsters). A lot of the toys are likely to involve the use of weapons and quite a lot of riders early on. Now I'm waiting for the opportunity to see Geats in good quality.

The fan thing are the Ofuda (vizualing something akin to how the Blayrouzer holds cards) and are a Tanuki-exculsive item, so unlikely.)

Something of note, the leaker shouldn't know anything about why #4 should be treated as a presumed *story* spoiler (it seems like they only have access to info concerning the Driver/toys, nothing related to Geats' story dropped this morning).....so people are speculating why the leaker is keeping their mouth shut is because it's actually a returning Rider using this years' belt (and yes, the name on everyone's tongues rn is indeed You-Know-Who).

To be honest, the only way I could be happy with 8 riders before Xmas is that they pull a Hibiki: whatever organization in Geats that's creating the drivers has multiple Riders spread across the country, all doing their own thing: our main trio may occasionally mention or even fight alongside them, and maybe the show will dedicate a 2-parter to focus on one, but the show ultimately focuses on our main trio first and foremost (and #8 too i suppose, when they come during Xmas.) 8 riders doesn't sound so scary when it's a main trio and 4 potenial "Rider of the Week" stories + a rival Rider for Xmas, no?

The belt description sounds VERY convoluted to me, found it a bit hard to follow even, but that almost makes me think it's more likely to be real since I feel like fake leak belt descriptions tend to be a bit more basic? lol idk

I think unless we get a really convincing leak from a reliable source, I'm not believing much until the press conference lol

Also I really don't want a returning rider to be important to this show... I still haven't finished most phase-1 heisei kamen rider shows since I'm slowly making my way through them with my wife, and I already had to skip Zi-O to avoid even vague spoilers for shows I haven't seen and I really don't want to skip Geats after I bailed on revice, I just wanna watch the new show :cry

I don't think it will be more than a couple of guest appearances on the show. If he was really important, then he would either be added to the main three, or introduced much later, as an element moving the plot.

Gotta get to work, but Matt Hunt has confirmed that a toy listing hasn't dropped yet, so idk where the leaker's getting this from. If these driver leaks are real, given the spotty/bizzarely incomplete information, they probably got their hands on a DX Driver, but not everyone's transformation devices, so they're just fumbling around with the sounds inside and determining their info off of that. (And ofc if that's the case, 8 Riders all in Q1 might not be exactly true, they could be spread out.......)
