And once again it's the music that got me hooked.

At the least I think it's safe to assume Hanto/Valen isn't a prick and while he may not hit it off with Shouma at first, I feel like they will get along. And yes, I think we could expect some dark moments.

So, regarding the news. Well, everything is clear about Shoma. It's great that he was given a mission, although I'm sure there will be those who are against revenge as a motivation. The actor was chosen well, because he just has the aura of a good and slightly confused guy.
Valen, judging by the description, gets involved in the story because of his own powers of observation. It is interesting to know how he will gain powers and why he will receive them.
Sachiku Amane is a positive heroine, which is always good, especially if her positivity is truly that and will withstand the onslaught of circumstances. The store is banal, but thematically justified.
The villains are quite interesting. The fact that this is a family immediately reminds us of W, and their specialization strongly smacks of Sentai.
They are also evil businessmen, which is always relevant. In any case, judging by the description, there will be very bright types.
Well, Junko Komura as the main screenwriter. Long-awaited and interesting. I think we are in for a interesting show with many new ideas.

Just noticed something about the Stomach family but it could just be a coincidence.

So far their name are romanized as : Rango, Grotta, Nierve, Theta (Shita) and Jeep (Jipu)

I wonder if they could actually be related to body parts or specifically mouth or tongue ?

Rango sounds like French "Langue" (which means Tongue)
Theta => Shita is literaly the japanese word for Tongue
Grotta sound like Glotte (which is French for Glottis, so just behind the tongue)

Niervu sounds like Nerve, but that's not specific to mouth.

Jeep/Jipu no idea. could be something like Deep ? but farfetched.

Apparently Rango is derived from Lango, which is Esperanto for tongue. All have the meaning of tongur. Niervu is from Nyelv, Hungarian for tongue. Jeep is from Jeebh, Hindi for tongue. Grotta is from Glotta, Greek from tongue and lastly Theta is correct, from Shita which is Japanese for tongue. Theta?s name pronounciation is Shiita btw, hence Shita.

I have a feeling if they play their cards right Gavv could be on par with Build in terms of overall quality.

They've done it, boys! They finally dropped that Opening Song Naming Gimmick!

(Context: From Zi-O to Gotchard, minus Saber, each opening song for the Reiwa Riders has been things like Over X Quartzer, Real X Eyes, Live X Devil, Trust X Last, Chemy X Story)

Anyway, I'm getting some Build vibes from the crank on the Gorman-Seijin faced Driver, to Gavv looking like a Sclash Rider, and his sword looks like Build's Fullbottle Buster. So, we have a Rider who isn't "human" which is neat! And a family of bad guys (Giff would be proud) baking monsters. Everything sounds goofy as heck, but as many have joked, we remember Gaim, though I wouldn't mind which direction this goes. In all honesty, I have to agree that this feels like Gotchard 2 in a way, which again, I wouldn't mind.

Valen, as with Gavv, looks rather plain, though sure, the aesthetics help them stick out, I do like their weapons. And not only do we have a bike, but Gavv has a Monster Truck (that will probably be just as prevalent as Revice's Hoverbike).

All in all, I'd say it looks fun, albeit rather plain, moreso than Gotchard, since the suits for the Riders look great! I'll watch it, sure, but I'm kind of just going to keep lower expectations as I have with Gotchard to see how they play out.

It's Komura's first time as head writer for a Rider show, so the hype is totally justified. I think the source of your disappointment is that you set unrealistic expectations. While this "average writer" may not be as notorious as the one you were hoping for, if she can create a high quality work with deep characters and fun interactions, then she will prove herself worthy of that hype.

Hmm, just like Henshinzero predicted. It's always intriguing when the villains use a public organization as a front for their evil schemes. Their victims may likely be inadvertently funding them by innocently purchasing their edible products, imagine that. Yeah, the organic nature of Amazon, the evil family of Double and the Primary/Secondary camaraderie of Build, sounds like a recipe for a good meal!

I wonder if it will have some kind of gimmick relevance, since Reiwa vehicles are usually more connected than before where the bikes just kind of exist until they don't.

It's fast-paced and makes me feel excited for sure. However, after Gotchard's awesome quartet of Beverly, Back On, KR Girls and Chips, it's going to be difficult for Gavv's soundtrack to follow that.

Could be like V3, where the motive starts as revenge but soon develops in to justice, with the desire to prevent anybody else from suffering loss like he did.

So it seems Hanto's background story begins with him investigating the Granute for a while but it's with the start of the show that he finally learns of their name and so on.

I think this one looks really fun honestly. The combination of silly and vibrant visuals with the darker undertones of beings from another dimension using humans as food ingredients is pure tokusatsu energy. Definitely makes a better first impression than Gotchard did. I don't know when I'll watch this one but I'm looking forward to it when it happens!

It's been said that there's already 20 episodes done of filming which is pretty insane, I can't find it but there's been sightings of a yellow pudding themed Rider, no pics though.


Anyway I feel real frustrated with this, the plot synopsis is genuinely interesting and a rebellious main Rider who betrays the villains is something we haven't really seen in a good while. Butbthe toy sounds are just so obnoxiously bad lmao, I can get used to the suit with enough time but the toy sounds are just too much for me

f these are not false rumors, then the decision is quite controversial, given the many leaks associated with this particular show. As if at this rate we wouldn?t get the final episode leaked somewhere in the middle of the ongoing.

It's the thing that scares me the most for the show.

So far I have Ex-Aid and Build vibes from the show. But they're mixed with the CGI critters for the second year in a row...
Ex-Aid I adored the sound design (belt sounds, Kageyama's driver voice, sound effects of hits, soundtracks and how all of this blended together to give Ex-Aid that acidic colors and cool atmosphere)
Build I loved the drama between characters, Driver+Bottle/Weapon look and gimmick.

It feels I find almost all of this in Gavv so far, but will I like it as much when, suddenly in the middle of that epic choir soundtrack we got in the trailer, i'll ear a full-bottle like item make "Kuriboh" sounds and a hero conversing with it... ? I don't know.

Depends on the Gochizou, I guess. Keeping Zakuzakuchips in a fridge would be weird.

I doubt Shouma will be as buddy-buddy with the Gochizous as Houtarou is with the Chemies. While the Chemies are all unique and intelligent, the Gochizous seem to be basic lifeforms that can be easily replaced by Shouma eating more snacks.

Some Chemies like Hopper1, Skebows and Nijigon are often portrayed by physical props instead of CGI, so it's much easier to become emotionally attached to them than the random Gochizous.

Anyway, what scene are you guys most excited about? I want to see Gavv Chocodan and Valen shooting together in that warehouse!

There's one clip of Gavv Chocodan biting his gun to properly form the shape which singlehandedly convinced me the food theming could end up real fun, I'd like to see more stuff like that, especially with how... Beastial Gavv sometimes looks

Could this be an attempt to make a rider version of Ultraman Blazar? Although it is more likely that Shoma's savagery is a cute reference for Amazon's 50th anniversary.

Honestly a lot of scenes were really hype for me, but Grotta vs Valen in some of the post-trailer scenes of the press release was really hype to me!

I generally sort of love that the Stomach family seems to be able to beat up in-suit Kamen Riders while not in their monstrous forms, even with their barehands at times too! Makes me really curious how strong they'll be when they DO go full monster mode o.o

Shouma's out of suit fighting is cool to see too, even if he doesn't seem to be as strong as someone like Grotta he's clearly more strong than a human would be! Personally I've gotten fond of out of suits fights over time so the idea that Gavv may have a decent ammount of them is pretty cool to me....

Outside of that pretty much every shot of Valen looks great to me :D

Some small details I really like are Gavv biting the chocolate gun to make it more "gun shaped", and the sprinkles flying into the air when he punches the ground in his lollipop form!

There's a couple things I can't wait to see more of too...! His chips form looks super cool ,and i love sword action in rider so very hyped to see more of that one... The lollipop form also looks way cooler than i thought it would initially, I like the sense of size it has a lot, so I really wanna see it more of it!

Some people seemed to have noticed Tsukasa/Decade's camera on one of the shelves in Sachika's shop/house place during the start up special.

I hope this doesn't cause the rumors to return: "Decade is the tertiary rider of this show."

This feels odd to say, but I'm excited to learn more about those hooded techwear-fashion enemies at 0:51 and 3:55 of the press release. The villains in general seem to have really cool aesthetics this series, but what fascinates me about those guys is that I can't tell what role they're supposed to play. It's clear that the Stomach family are masterminds and the mouth-covered monsters are the MotWs, but the hooded figures don't seem like your usual footsoldiers (given how one plays a role in collecting human ingredients, and just two are enough to give Gavv a challenge), and have such a different aesthetic from the other villains' more gothic/fantasy vibe...

It seems like they've got the Stomach Family/"Organ"ization's logo on their jackets. Maybe they're like officers or agents for the Stomach Family like how the Museum had it's gaia memory dealers:

If I recall there were some (retroactively seemingly accurate) leaks before the trailer that describef these guys essentially as middlemen for the Stomach family

MoTWs will bring captured humans to these hooded guys, the MoTW will receive one of the evil candies we see in the trailer (maybe this is what let's them upgrade into a more monstrous form from their more human form?) then the middleman brings the humans back to the Stomach family

So if those leaks are right, you could maybe sort of think of these guys as drug dealers, while the Stomach family is the big drug syndicate behind the scenes

I’m thinking Gavv’s potential berserk form will be something cannibalistic.

Something would force him to feed on humans as he tries to fight something evil out of it.

Like Stefan from Vampire Diaries not feed on human blood again until going ripper & same with Michael Corvin from Underworld with difficulty of his hybrid life with embracing blood than normal food.

This gives me very strong W's vibes. Especially if suddenly one of these guys becomes Grotta's fiance.
But in any case, the costume is very cool. This costume could impress in any other genre, not only toku.

Tsukasa/Decade's camera being a prop in what I assume is Sachika's place does have me wonder if the staff will ever guest star Tsukasa at one point. It could purely be just a prop that matches the whole colorful snack theme it has going on but the fact that it's not been repurposed in any way has me wondering what if.

Shoma isn't really human, not to mention that if they decide to do this (they won't) it'd be reserved strictly for enemy mooks. I don't think we'll actually get a berserk form, sure, it's been a few years since we saw one but the rules of the show just don't seem to allow that as the sweets are made by Gavv himself

While I don't see Gavv eating humans in PG-rated entertainment, I think a berserk form is still possible in a thematically appropriate way. Food can influence our minds after all, so there could be a psychedelic Gochizou that impairs Gavv's sense of judgment. I imagine Stomach will learn the ability to create their own Gochizous later, since Shouma is a Granute like them.

There's something very Showa Rider about this and I like it. Can't really pinpoint what it is, but the Showa Rider is strong.
