I've been working on an Ex-Aid themed Rider custom using SO-DO and while the Rider is far from ready the Gashat is ready, so I'm going to share.

I present Mighty Action Kart

Basically Mario Kart for Mighty Action X. It's made of 2 Shakariki Sports, Gundam polycaps, Gundam model trees, and a few Mega Bloks for the steering column/wheel.

Actually took this for somewhere else a while ago, but still surprised venom snekker can actually do this.

I did a thing! I got sick of waiting for Kiva and I'd seen people modifying the head of the Converge figure and putting it onto the old Souchaku Henshin, so I figured I'd give that a try myself.

Ugh. My appreciation of that is large, and my craving for a Figuarts-scaled Kiva is once again rearing its head. When will Bandai wake! up!?

So I just got a Kiva Emperor Form. And I had this idea for a Royal Court setup. And here is the end result. This is my first time doing this, please be gentle.

Was this a difficult mod? I'm almost tempted to get both of these figures and do this myself.

Depends on the tools at your disposal. I imagine if you have a dremel with a sanding tool it'd be a whole lot easier. You have to expand the hole on the Converge head a fair bit to allow room for the Souchaku's neck. Personally, I just widdled around with a hobby knife then wrapped some sand paper around a dowel before going to town and smoothing the cavity out. From there, you need to shave a little off the top of the peg which pulls out of the Souchaku's head so that there's enough room for it to completely fit inside the new one. Mine is just staying connected with friction and some putty, but you could probably work out a more permanent/solid solution than that.

So... moderate, I guess? Took me probably a couple hours in total.

UGH. This seals it that JuJu Burger is my most-wanted alternate Ex-Aid Figuarts release. Those shots are love.

How does that Souchaku Henshin Kiva hold up to modern SHFs body-wise?


IIRC, that Kiva came out at the tail end of the Souchaku Henshin line, so it's probably one of the better looking ones I'd imagine.

He designed very much like an early Figuart. That said, he's just got ball joints in his ankles and hips, he's got a LOT more metal in 'em, and - because of the way his shoulder pads are designed - he has very little real arm movement forward and back unless you want things looking stupid. Honestly, what I feel is most off about older Figuarts are the head sculpts though, and since this Converge head is designed with modern techniques and fairly accurate proportions, he ends up looking great with the rest of the collection.
