What are the other three arcs? :) |

Anyone else wishing that Toonami this year had played new movies during December instead of literally the exact same ones as last year?

Not really an anime, but it is a live action movie based off an anime/manga
Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno is now available to torrent, so you damn well I'm watching this |

That movie is the amazing and stunning and my favorite Kamen Rider character is playing Kenshin which makes it even better. :) I love Takeru Satoh. :D |
I just started the Artificial Human saga of DBZ. Poor poor Yamucha.
|
Who else watched Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Milos or something like that last night? :)

Anyway, not me. I actually couldn't care less if I ever see that movie again. |
I'm not much of an anime person (I've only watch Soul Eater), but I decided to give Sword Art Online a try. Best decision I've ever made! Season 1 was too good for words and I'll watch season 2 when they get around to dubbing it.

Just finished up The Irregular at Magic High School as I was asked by another site to write up a review of it.
It was awful, absolutely awful. It starts with a reasonably interesting premise, and then is ruined by the biggest Mary Sue protagonist I've ever seen in a show. He is literally flawless and the show fails to have any sense of suspense because he's able to just obliterate any obstacle in his path. I REALLY don't recommend ever watching it. |
Black Bullet ep. 1: It's a somewhat original zombie show with a solid dose of fanservice. It was OK, I guess, but I'm probably not going to finish it any time soon.
Fullmetal Alchemist ep. 1: This, on the other hand, looks promising. I've known about this show for a while, but I'd put off watching it for some reason. While it's not amazing (at least, not yet), it's pretty neat, and I'm curious to see where things go from here. |

Nothing was really special about it. It was on Adult Swim though and I decided to watch it since I'd never seen the movie and I am a big fan of the anime... |

You should just watch Brotherhood. It goes more by the manga than the first series does. |

(Thank you so much Hiromu Arikawa for making such an amazing series like this! :D) |

So Psycho-Pass 2 is done. I'll reiterate what I said about it on Twitter - it was a mess of ideas that would have made a fairly interesting standalone cyberpunk/sci-fi show, but absolutely didn't work within the setting and parameters of Psycho-Pass. I have a soft spot for it as I liked some things conceptually, but as a sequel it was a pretty poor offering.
Can't wait for that movie though! |
Psycho Pass 2 ended already? I thought it was going to be another 22 episode series. Still haven't watched it but I've got some of the dubbed episodes available to me that I'm going to watch.
Not surprised it wasn't that good though. I knew something was going to be amiss when I found out that none of the staff from the first season was back, even Production IG (which made no sense since Ishikawa himself was the one that announced it was happening). |
Fairy Tail! :D
(That's all I have to say...) |
Still DBZ. Just watched Gohan kick the asses to the Cell Jrs.

Thoughts on Parasyte?
Keep seeing it mentioned, but it's one I didn't even consider when this season started. |
Mobile Fighter G Gundam: How do you breath new life into a franchise known for it's long narrative and creating the Real Robot genre.
Why of course, you turn it into a Super Robot show about a martial arts tournament where the ultimate prize is earth itself. Yeah. Trippy show. G Gundam was the first alternate universe show after years of experiencing the Universal Century, and it distanced itself from the norm due to it's crazy premise, in the future mankind has migrated into space, and to avoid all-out war between the different colonies they agreed to hold the Gundam Fight, every 4 years all countires send a Gundam of their own to earth, and the last country standing controls the world till the next tournament. The premise keeps the Gundams away from the usual war, exchanging it for one on one matches of epic proportions, the action holds up and is fun and over the top. The Gundams themselves are one of the most known aspects of the show, their desings are... stereotypical on some cases, and downright insane on others, but surprisingly enough the show doesn't really call attention on their sillyness, and the actual pilots are well defined characters, they do share some of their stereoptypes, but their stories and personalities are liekable and believable, even the one-shot characters are fairly good, people like Chico and Hans have solid arcs in their respective episodes and become rather memorable. G might not tackle the usual Gundam themes upfront, but all of them are there in the background and subtext, and ultimately the show is if anything fun, if you are willing to get into the world and tone of G Gundam, you are in for a show that never lets go. |
I'm catching up on Vanguard G.
My one and only complaint so far is that the fights are too fast paced. |
Just started watching Yuki Yuna wa Yusha de Aru. Well I totally love the four characters so far. Apparently I am attracted to Magical Girl Animes lol. I love the characters who have hero complexes like I do so the hero club aspect already appeals to me. I like how their phones transform them that's cool. Yuna transformed like Kuuga so that was sweet that she punched and kicked and her outfit changed was awesome. Yuna reminds me of Yuusuke a lot so that's a plus. Togo is super intelligent that she could make a mobile site in 5 minutes is insane, I like that they have a handicapped character, I am intrigued to see if she transforms down the line. Fu's sword looks awesome and being the leader of the Hero club is pretty cool, and Itsuki reminds me of myself being the younger sibling and will always follow her older sister, like myself. Overall I'm hooked right now, I can't wait to see more.

I've been continuing my way through the Kikaider franchise with Kikaider: The Animation, which absolutely blew me away. I'd still argue the toku series is the definitive Kikaider experience since that's how it all began, but the anime (and the manga, since that's what this is based off) is a far richer and deeper experience. And damn can it get dark at times.

Watched a couple more episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist last night, still liking this show. I'm not sure why they started in the desert town and then almost immediately backtracked to tell their entire backstory though - They could've started the show off with that and then had the events of the first 2 episodes take place later in the show. Regardless, it's still pretty great.

Sword Art Online Extra Edition English dub is online! Imma watch it! :D

Except, in both Brotherhood and the manga, they meet Shou Tucker after they get back from the desert and not in the past when Ed is studying to be a state Alchemist like they did in the original anime. BTW, only 82 episodes of DBZ to go. YAY!!!! |
Watched up through ep. 13 in Fullmetal Alchemist, and it seems like the alchemy gets more and more OP in each episode. Esp. that part where Ed summoned a dam around a mountain and then that kid did the tree thing to soak up the poison.
