I think there will be Team Skull grunts that are gender swapped versions of Jessie & James who act like counterparts to them and they will have a female Alola Meowth. And the classic Meowth will be smitten with the new one and they’ll play the Romeo & Juliet shtick again. Because that would be something really old and stupid the anime would love to do I imagine.

Also, @Topic: The event Darkrai will get a second round, just like Hoopa and Mew did. US get’s the codes over the newsletter, nothing announced for EU yet which probably means the same "NAMEOFTHEPOKEMON2016" code will give you a Darkrai over WiFi.

XY received a much needed animation bump, so visually, it looks a lot better than the others. From what I told, story telling is a little better, too.

Gamexplain did a video talking with chuggaaconroy about how good the X and Y anime has been. They've said the show has brought on people that have actually worked on other sucessful anime.

I'm really loving those Alola forms. Marowak looks really cool.

Yeah the storytelling has improved considerably and jesus christ it has some of the best battles i have seen relating to Pokemon.

The last half of the episode send chills down my spine.

I remember reading that they wanted Ash's journey to end at Kanto and they wanted a new main character with each new region, but Ash was too popular to get rid of. Each game has a new main character, so the anime having a new trainer in each region could have work.

I'm imagining some alternate universe where this happened we would have gotten a "Pokemon Advanced generation 12 years after" kind of special to promote ORAS.

I also remember reading they wanted Ash to find his father in the Johto region or he would have fought against him at the Elite Four in Kanto. The anime has been on going for so long, even kids today know who Ash is.

I don't watch the anime but I want Ash's last region to be Kalos. Unless Serena goes with, those two have more chemistry than any other ship in the fandom

Think what heard is people behind the anime thought kids where going to be confused if the changed protagonist In Pokemon anime so they kept it with ash. So the orginal concept of the anime became the Pokemon adventures manga.
