So where is he applying the oil exactly in the video? I cannot tell outside of it being somewhere around the waist joint of the legs. Is he putting it on the pegs? In the hole of the leg where the peg sticks in?

Also, can I buy it in a store?

You apply it to anywhere causing the friction since the silicon oil is basically being used as a lubricant here (ie. on the ball of a ball joint). You can buy it anywhere that sells RC cars/trucks since they are the oil used in their shocks. Make sure you get the same wt as he used in the video (80 wt) since they come in a variety depending on their viscosity.
