Fun fact, they are from the same agency and from what I have seen they seem to be buddies with each other kinda like how Suda(Philip from W) and Matsuzaka(Takeru from Shinkenger) are. Also, Geiz and Gatack are the same agency as well.

In light of this (though granted I've only seen one episode thus far) it's not hard to see why Joe Odagiri would not want to return to the toku genre, let alone Kamen Rider.

You realize Odagiri has always hated the genre right? To the point he was going to be on GoGoV but ended up not getting the role because he refused to do those poses and only stayed on Kuuga because the director told him he wanted to break the kiddy image Kamen Rider had? I don't see why Zi-O is so special that the guy who hates toku period wouldn't want to be involved with implications he would if it were a different season

Do you have a point? Mine was that this only contributes to the reason why Odagiri doesn't care for the genre, and if Zi-O is the mess that it is, of course he'd not want to return, even for an anniversary and final chapter as this. If anything you just reinforced it.

Joe Odagiri wouldn't return for anything toku-related period.



Zi-O could be Build or Gaim level quality and that still wouldn't change anything.

Hell the 4chan leak said they got him as far as reading the script for Forever. That's like the closest they've been to actually getting him back to anything non directly Kuuga related.

He's said he'd come back for a Kuuga reunion if the original staff were to do it, he just doesn't like Tokusatsu.

Sorry, I know some other people already proved you wrong but I can't wrap my head around the idea that Odagiri strongly disliking toku period reinforces your belief that Zi-O is bad because Odagiri didn't go on Zi-O. Wasn't Odagiri also the reason Decade had AU versions? If I remember correctly, Odagiri refused to be on Decade so they thought "Well shit we can't bring back all actors but Kuuga's can we?"
