This was an unlicensed product that they did not make and to then sell it would only weaken their rights to the IP, encouraging others to ignore and break laws with their own projects (potentially for profit because "this other one can"), and there's no benefit to them.

Remember when Capcom published a fanmade Mega Man game? That was their only "Celebration" for the Blue Bomber's anniversary. Nothing else. They didn’t care, someone made something good, they took it and advertised themselves as a fanbase loving bunch who love Mega Man. Facepalm.

And Sega? Sega needs to allow the few fans they still have to do what they want, and with the most recently announced classic Sonic game they even hired people out of the community because they have no idea how to do shit properly anymore.

Pokémon goes way too well in order to even think about endorsing or hell, even publishing rip-offs. Because no matter how extensive the ideas, these fans use trademarked names, concepts and in most cases official assets from the games. How can you expect to publish something like this, free or not, and expect to not get blown up?

Yeah, and Nintendo isn't as bad about shutting down fan projects compared to other companies. We knew about the Metroid 2 fan remake for years before it came out before Nintendo took it down. Other companies like Square Enix when they even hear about a fan made Chrono Trigger game have it shut down.

So I've finished with the dex and now I'm breeding a buncha mons. Want some more shinies.

Was running around route 7 looking for a white Flabebe so I could get one in a Luxury Ball, and I ran into something a little more interesting: a shiny yellow Flabebe! Which is pretty awesome. This is actually the only shiny random encounter (without other boosted chances) I've gotten since I got the Shiny Charm all those years ago, and only my second one overall. And my first was a Lunatone so this is a lot better.

TBH I blame Sammy for Sega's downfall more then anything else before they bought out Sega it made a valiant effort at becoming a quality 3rd party developer. But after the Sammy *who made it abundantly clear they didn't give a shit about video games and only wanted Sega's arcade business and to slap their characters on pachinko machines* buyout they went to shit.

....I still wish Nintendo had bought them and Rare out.
