The live action Pokemon has got writers. Having the writers behind Guardians of the Galaxy and Gravity Falls gives me some hope that this movie may decent.

Just read what happened in today's episode. I dropped XY not too far into it but would check in every now and again on what was happening. And how Ash was positioned to finally win a league was pretty exciting stuff. Was thinking of watching this particular episode buuut just saw what happened and now I'm pretty disappointed. Would have been so awesome to see it finally happen.

The dragon tortoise guy looks pretty good, wonder of they are going to show pre evolved forms later or whether this is just a single form.

To be fair from the story's perspective i kind of understand what they're going for.

To the people whining about the result in the latest episode Ash isn't bothered by his loss, not even upset in the slightest. Character development anyone? Alain isn't as bullshit as Tobias was. We KNEW who Alain was, he got development, he had to use his whole team unlike Tobias who only used 2 pokemon. And then there's why Serena likes Ash. He's optimistic. Taking a loss that well shows that optimism. *mic drop*

After the Pokemon league there's gonna be an arc where Team flare does they're thing from the game. Because of reasons i can't remember the guy Ash lost to, Allan became a team flare admin right before the league.

It's pretty obvious that they trying to make it so that Ash beats him when it actually counts, to prevent his team from destroying the world or whatever the hell Team flare's trying to do.

Honestly, it's a bit of a problem. Ash really stopped being miffed over a loss after the Indigo League. He took his loss at Johto with flying colors (Helped that he defeated his asshole rival who only appeared, like, 6 times in 100 episodes), so it's hard to really say it's character development when he's been fine with taking L's since the Silver Conference.

I'm glad it wasn't bullshit like with Tobias and his fucking Darkrai, but Ash's character has stagnated since Hoenn.
