That actually works pretty well.

So the Earthrise show was a big mixed bag. If I had to say what was the best thing from it, it would have to be Megatron from the first two or three episodes. Didn't expect to see a Megatron show feelings.

Found Earthrise Arcee at my local Walgreen's. I like her robot mode. Good poses are possible, though the limbs are all over the place. You can keep the portion of her backpack that forms a "hoverboard" attached or separate it. As awkward as that "hoverboard" looks, it actually kind of works for some reason. Her vehicle mode is a shellformer in every sense of the term, and I just could not make everything fit just so. I finally gave up and just reverted back to robot mode.

I think that's exactly the right decision. I really hated that figure's transformation. They did a stellar job on the robot mode, but the compromises they made to the transformation to accommodate that robot mode just sunk the figure for me. It's a fine toy if you never transform it, but that's not at all what I was looking for. Bagged her up after a day and tossed her into storage. The Titans Return Headmaster Arcee is still my preferred Arcee for display, and likely always will be.

I've been trying to get a hold of Earthrise Ironhide (just Ironhide from the two-pack) which I understand was an Amazon exclusive.

What are my chances for a rerelease, perhaps as a solo figure? Did it get a release in Japan by itself? I can't imagine a nice mold for a prominent character like that would stay exclusive forever.

Three possibilities.

First, they may reoffer it down the line! Kingdom's doing some Earthrise repacks, and while I don't think Ironhide was one of them, there's always a chance.

Second, yeah, the Ironhide/Prowl 2-pack got offered by Takara... as a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive, so the price is probably not going to be substantially better.

Third, maybe HasbroPulse will relist it? They've slowly started offering store exclusives (Walmart, mostly), so maybe they could do the Amazon ones next?

None of these are great possibilities! I'm really sorry about that. I honestly had no idea the aftermarket price on that 2-pack was so insane. (TFSource has it for $180?!) You're right in thinking that a good Ironhide (and Prowl) shouldn't be so hard to get, but, well, Hasbro made it an exclusive to start with, so they might not be swayed by logic.

Building off of what die said, I checked zen and the aftermarket prices in Japan are also high. Manda is 9000 to 10000 yen which is less, but still not great.

I heard there's rumors of Dirge/Ramjet being reissued in April, but I don't know if that will mean Ironhide/Prowl will be too (if the rumor is even true).

The Fossilizer Ractinite figure is a lot of fun.

Anyone been able to get ahold of a Dinobot? Been looking for one of him.

I could have gotten him this afternoon at a Louisiana Walmart, but it was untenable at the moment. They had a couple of him, and at least one Inferno.
