Its a really enjoyable show. Its not in my absolute favorites but its a pretty cool show :)

It's worth a watch in my opinion. It's got some nice fun characters and it's like a mix of different Sentais as far as tones are concerned. It has some awesome mecha designs and the action is good as well. So yeah, I'd say go ahead and give Megaranger a watch.

Then again I am a bit bias since it is my second favorite of the official seasons.

What age do you think kids start reading this books at? Because here in CO third grade is where the majority of kids start, and they are 8-9 at that time. Some kids start even in second grade.

I am pretty sure things like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and Skulduggery Pleasant don't qualify as teen novels. We were reading the first Harry Potter book when I was in third grade - some of my younger friends read the early Percy Jackson books while they were in grade school.

I fear the modern media mentality is skewing what is and isn't something that can be considered a book for children these days.

Megaranger has it's flaws of course due to some really weird story pacing, but overall, I'd say go for it ^^

I honestly think it depends as I can recall reading stuff like Boxcar Children back in third grade.

Why I think ToQger is better than Kyoryuger

Because Kyoryuger doesn't have story. It just about Brave. What do they mean "Brave". Daigo is already brave but the show is about Ranger try to be brave. But really? Kyoryuger doesn't have story at all!

ToQger have a story. It's about 5 childhood friend that is trying to find their home while fighting a DEMON.

Kyoryuger's plot was to find the other Dino's and defeat Deboss.

Now the shadows aren't as threatening as Deboss. "Hey guys! I've got dark stuff! Wait I cause rain maybe I dropped it?"

Then to have another red, well all the ToQgers are sorta reds at least once so that wish was granted.

Deboss? Ha! They're not threatening. They have a silly design! And I forgot who is the leader's name? "Green Santa Claus"?

I decided to watch the first episode of Goranger with a friend.

It was... interesting to say the least. We really didn't get much time to get to know our heroes before all the action occured, but I'd say Daita probably got the best parts of the episode. Kicking off the old tradition (and many parodies and references therein) of the yellow ranger loving curry, and spending a good amount of time trying to figure out a pun (and summarily throwing a grunt off a cliff when he figures it out). I realize that reruns weren't a thing in this era of toku, and multi-part stories haven't taken hold quite yet, so while I think this was kind of rushed in places, I was entertained but wish that it had been a two-parter, to give them a bit more breathing room.

One of the nice things that I actually liked about this though was that we're introduced to 4 other MOTW that will take on the Gorangers at some point. Not exactly general status, but it was a nice touch.

I wouldn't mind watching more, honestly.

Are you so desperate in defending Toqger that you need to bash Kyoryuger? Wow man, that's pitiful. Also, it does make you look somewhat stupid to not be able to memorize a name as easy as Chaos...

ToQGer Episode 2: I need to go back in time and smack myself for saying I didn't want to watch this. Very very interesting with hearing more theories about their memories. The Duel Meadows place was very dark here, I see that they continued a lot of the same themes from Kyoryuger with keeping the Silly/Serious ratio together. The Shadow Line remind of the Deboss Legion just with different emotions and goals. This focusing a bit on Hikari being the logical one is interesting because I thought that would be Tokatti. I want to know more about Tokatti but I am perfectly fine with him being the clumsy one, he reminds me of Doc from Gokaiger. Kagura is still super fun, and so is Right. Hikari grew on me this episode, and Mio I'd like to see more from. I hope this doesn't end up being one of those Sentais that focus on Red, because even though Right is my favorite (Tied with Tokatti right now) I want more of a focus on everyone than just him, like Kyoryuger had a lot of great character moments. Though really it was just the fight scene on the trains that focused on Right so not the biggest deal. I love the action in this, and the color switching to see each character use different weapons. I love that the Mecha can split apart like too.

I also watched more of Dekaranger, Magiranger, and Go-Onger with my friends and loving those 3 too. Though Dekaranger is still difficult for me.

Personally he is getting kind repetitive with all the complaints and stupid remarks.

Here we Goseiger again 05. Seaic Brothers <3

This episode is surprisingly dark. Not only is the episode fuelled on a scathing social critique but it also involves the Warstar harvesting our children for their army. The only thing that really lets it down is how cheap the BB suits are.

ToQGer Episode 3: Yeah this show is like Kyoryuger again lol which is totally awesome. Kagura is so awesome I love her personality and her strong imagination powers, she's insane in the most awesome way. I like her chemistry with Right, the two of them get along great. I'm loving Right more he reminds me of Shouichi and Sora so I love the ever-optimist type characters. Wagon is hot for a robot, lol. I am intrigued about Ticket and wonder what he is. More to finding out what happened to them so it is very interesting. I can't wait to see more of what else I missed since I started at 17 lol.

Here we Goseiger 06.

I wish they did more with the Headders, as they are really well designed and there are hints at interesting and adaptable uses but they are only every really used in novel, BUY THIS NOW, ways. It kinda sucks.

Alata is really badass in this episode - I know it probably wont sound like much of a compliment but this show is never really better than these early clashes with Dareptor, honestly Sentai in general isn't. The effects are pretty awful in this show overall though, they are certainly way worse than I remember them being although I like how they can make his injury seem a lot bigger than it really....well is.

This is just, in general, a well written episode and I especially loved the subtle and natural ways they highlighted how the Goseiger are growing as a team. They aren't quite fully synchronised but there is a mutual, easy going respect between the members now that wasn't present so obviously in the past. Especially when it came to Agri and Moune.

ToQGer Episode 4: Well I totally relate with Tokatti with the clumsy part, and the being useless part at times, but I like that he is the Dependable one because that's like me too. Also enjoyed that Mio is the one that helps support them all, I hope we get to learn more with her. I'm glad that Tokatti said that Hikari was the smarter one because I was wondering with that, still I love all the rangers now. The character story I am really loving is the Grita/Schwarz love story right now and how she is in love with him and wants to help him. I love Schwarz because he is that Military General type of character that I love also he is aesthetically awesome too. I can't wait for more, even though this is going to be weird because I am going to watch the current episode this week and catch up at the same time.

Here we Goseiger again 07. This episode is dumb.

This weeks villain was pretty good, but isn't able to achieve much in such a cramped episode. Much weaker Warstar soldiers have been given much more room to breath in the past, I don't get it.

Minus Alata, I don't believe it's them in the suits at all. How can Agri have MORE personality in his suit than out of it? I guess it's lucky that the suit actors are so good though, as the special effects around them are largely awful.

I´m staying in the 80s for now and started watching Maskman.

First three Episodes were pretty good. Not much I can say right now though :lol
Those episodes mostly focused on introducing the conflict and the cast of characters. But man Igam confuses the hell out of me everytime he is on screen :lol

The Action was pretty lackluster though. Especially the first fight between Igam and Red Mask. I couldnt even tell what the hell was going on. The giant battles are great though. Great Five is a nice looking robo and the individual vehicles were also pretty cool too.

I really need to watch Maskman subbed. I've seen the whole thing raw and found it to be underwhelming. The fight choreography is great, but outside of that and Akira, there was nothing I found all that memorable about the show. I enjoyed it, but not to the level I do with others. I'm hoping that watching it subbed will help me a lot.

Watched the first ten episodes now and its an alright show. The fights have gotten alot better since the first three episodes. The Story is alright not much happened up to now. The Characters are also not very mindblowing. the Maskmen are all pretty bland except for Akira and Takeru. Even Takeru isnt that great but I always enjoy those typical heroic reds.
The Villains are also pretty boring. Igam is the only one of them that has something you could call a personality :lol

ToQGer Episode 5: Why didn't I watch this sooner?! lol Right reminds a lot like Goku from DBZ in this episode with the food, I am so glad Right basically tortured the villain because he fucking deserved the ass kicking Right gave him. Right's one of my favorite characters so far. I also loved when Tokatti threw his gun at the Crows and was like I meant to do that lol. I swear if you merged Tokatti, Right, and Souji together that's me lol. Intrigued with Nero right now, but Grita and General Schwarz are my favorites of the Shadow Line and with Schwarz listening in on the ToQGers I find him brilliant right now. I can't wait for the next episode it looks like it features a lot of my favorites.

Watched more Maskman and its still kinda boring. The first 16 epsiodes really couldnt grab me. The Characters are all still very bland and dont have alot going for them. Igam is still the most interesting character and even he is pretty boring all things considered.
The Action got better and better the more the show went on so it has that going for it. The individual Episodes are also not that memorable. Unlike Black for example I cant really tell you much about what happened in them. Except for the Ninja episode...cause that one was just random as all hell :lol

ToQGer Episode 6: I loved this episode a lot, Tokatti dealing with thinking he was the leader was great to see how he felt. General Schwarz was badass against them taking them down with ease and knocking them away, I was like damn he is powerful. I love how Right basically called everyone the leader and each one being a different one. I love how Hikari is the Shadow Leader basically guiding them, Tokatti the support leader supporting them, and that the rest are silly like Mio as the Nagging Leader I love how she got upset at them and was chasing them around. Right being the Lunch Leader and Kagura as the Leader of Pretending that makes sense and was great. I totally enjoyed seeing Right and Tokatti fight together, and the Mecha fight with the Tank Ressha was totally awesome against Schwarz.

Shinken #6-10. Kotoha is easily my favourite character on this show. She's so adorable! Kajiki Origami's OK, Tora has drills, and so it is awesome, and I still hate Dai-Tenkuu from when I first saw it back in 2009, because 11 year old me needed some new mecha-y goodness. Also, does Juzo go on about "his sword Uramasa as much as in Samurai, becuase that was every 5 seconds in the episodes I saw, and I can't stand that much Uramasaness.

Hikari Sentai Maskman - 01

It starts off pretty weird. I mean the flashback sees Takeru giving a woman he just meant a pair of brand new heels he happened to have inside of his guitar case, obviously meant as a present for someone else, after just watching her appear out of a sewer.

As though that happens every day.

I won't give away what she is but it does make sense later on, like five minutes later on. But at first it's a real wtf moment.

I absolutely love the designs for the Underground Empire though. Each one is better than the last, with Zeba being the absolute best. Though the two Ninja Fumin and Obayu are very close behind. The whole darkness thing.. that sounds familiar... maybe something to do with trains...

I am loving this show so far. The vehicles are beautiful, the mech I saw from the opening looks amazing. Not boxy like Daizyujin (The original Megazord), very sleek. And of course there's a drill tank. Cause Japan and drill tanks :lol

And the Maskman suit designs.. I question the earrings on Pink and Yellow, but other than that I love them completely.

I think Sentai found a new Sentai he loves. Very awesome.

Just finished up Maskman this morning. I liked the series, for the most part. I wish there would have been more character development with X1, and the after the Underground Empire was taken care of. Also, wish they wouldn't have put a filler episode (Dancing one) right near the end.

Overall a good series, and next on to Sun Vulcan.

Hikari Sentai Maskman - 02

Great Five was everything I hoped in an early-ish Sentai mecha. Boxy yet sleek and awesome at the same time. And another good episode too. Though finding out who Mio was was no great surprise.
And them bringing the Castle to Earth is usually a finale move. So this should get interesting.

I made it up to the middle of Zyuranager 04, then fell asleep. Man is it boring. The fights are okay, but the rest I could care less for.

Anyone know if the ToQger subbed episodes are on Youtube? I like to use Youtube when I exercise so I don't have to put the episodes on my phone. lol.

Hikari Sentai Maskman 03

Remember kids: Always wear underwear when first discovering your Aura Power. That could've been embarrassing. These episodes also seem a little short. Only 19 minutes? That being said I enjoyed this one to. Shame that Maskman merch is so ungodly expensive. I need a Great Five in my life.
