Then you have 5 with the Sanc Kingdom. |
Time for a huge anime marathon tonight! Starting up first is Yowamushi Pedal Grande Road!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQjW-U74GwU Then Kuroko no Basket Season 3! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTQkZ4JwlmM Then Shinmai Maou No Testament! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_p6t6yZ3Xyw And to finish it all up! And one of my personal favorites: Assassination Classroom! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKtn_ldhSSw |
So... as the StrikerS continues (up to 15), there defintely have been cool moments, 8 and 9 were brutal but well done, the numbers debut was really good too, they all have unique skills and finally seeing proper fights was exciting, though they all look like MuvLuv rejects, Sei is particulary interesting, I simply love her skills, and while not a number Agito was killer too.
Ginga and Subaru ahving a mock battle was another standout. But it still remains as lot of build up for little pay off. Oh, and Vivio exists, so there's that. |
Rewatching Lucky Star and Genshiken for some reason.
|
Starting Chuunibyou.
|
Watched Outbreak Company a while ago but now I'm rewatching it. This time though, it's the dub. Still holds up.
|
Watching episode 2 of Wing.
Impressions so far: Wow Zechs is even more of a Char clone then most. Deathscythe is pretty awesome. Wufei is a guy and not a deep voiced girl right? They're obviously baiting females here. Wow Relena's actually hot. ...Relena is such a dumbass. And Duo saves Relena from her dumbassery. ...How is this girl still alive HOW?! |

And that's why we love him. Yep he is. The plot needs her. |
I'm roughly at the halfway point of Wing, and they're phasing in the mid-season upgrades for the gundams. And dang, that Wing Zero is awesome.

Sword Art Online 2 is going to be on Toonami on March 28th!

I want my Blu-ray relase announcement. I need my Sinon goodness.

Gundam Wing episode 27: Clip show, MOVING ON!
Gundam Wing episode 28: ...seriously? Again? At least we get 30 seconds of Epyon teasing at the end of this one. Samurai Flamenco episode 3: Okay, that was pretty fun, as always. I loved the random-ass, nonsensical roll call phrase the not-sentai team had :lol. |
Michelle Ruff playing Sinon in SAO 2
Source: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...toonami/.84458 EDIT: in other news, Tokyo Ghoul √A is getting the simuldub treatment. This means that season one isn't too far off getting dubbed. |
StrikerS done!
And... holy hell, the last 6 episodes were esentially a non-stop assault, that was awesome. As far as pacing goes it's definitely a weird one, in the first few eps basically nothing happens, and while it does work as set up for the last segment it feels like a rather inconsistent show. Despite all the boring parts everybody gets his chance to shine, a lot of characters are left behind, but outside of Zafira it never seems like they were needed to begin with. Tiana and Subaru get really nice development and battles, to the point I can see either as the protagonist, Erio and Caro could have gotten some more focus, but they were still cool, the Numbers were surprisingly cool, they all had unique styles and enough personality, heck, even Vice got his own little arc. The returning cast fares differently, the mian trio rarely fights, and their cool moments are mostly left to th end, but their growth feels natural, and coherent to their past appearances, a lot of familiar faces (like Yuuno or Arf) fade into the background, but as I said before it's not like the plot required them, the Knights do well, feeling at times more relevant than even the Aces, except for poor Zafira. The parenthood angle was surprisingly good, Fate's realtionship with the Lightning forwards had enough depth, Nanoha and Vivio weren't half bad, and Jail was just completely fucked up when it came to the Numbers. Though funnily enough the moment with the most emotional impact for me came from Fate and Vivio, when they talk about Lindy and Presea. So... Did the show tell it's story? Yep, it did. Was it a good story? Yeah, quite so. Was the action up to par? It was condensed on short bursts, but heck yeah. Do the characters prove their worth? Heck yeah. Was it the ideal way to tell the story? Probably not. All in all, I leave StrikerS with a nice feeling, I'm glad to finally have watched it, and there are indeed tons of things to like, even if it wasn't done so in the best way they could. |
Samurai Flamenco 4 and 5. I think I have a new favorite anime.

But in all honesty it is a fun show to watch for the tokusatsu homages. |

Yeah, I'll be honest. Not a fan of SAO.

My gawd Persona 4 Golden Animation pacing is crazy fast.

Side note: This is because I make games myself. |

It just adapts the new events from Golden, so without knowledge of P4 or The Animation it is downright unwatchable. |
Recent recap:
Chuunibyou: Only up to episode 3. But there's the painful cringe I was looking for! :P Aldnoah.Zero: Thank you obnoxiously cliche twin for giving me somebody new to hate while Slain's character slowly redeems himself! Tokyo Ghoul: Man I do not really like how much time is being spent with the investigators. I want to know what Kaneki is thinking and how he's feeling, not glimpses of unexplained madness. And I stopped being interested in the "new young investigator is perfect in every way but is cold and hates everyone" angle really, really fast. Yet almost every non-action scene is about her... One Piece: Huh. Finally hitting points where they're padding stuff out with noticeable filler scenes. I am okay with this because it still seems to flow. This is a massive arc with a huge cast that the manga glossed over a lot out of necessity. So by all means, avoid catching up by expanding on all of that! Naruto: Just please don't become this, One Piece anime. Because Naruto's current filler arc still doesn't interest me in the least... DRRR!!x2: Might have fallen back into the season one trap of a slow burn for story progress. Eh. Log Horizon: I am both confused by and really, really interested in what's going on right now. Those Odyssey Knights - man, interesting perspectives there. |

But I can still watching P3 Jap dubbed since I did watch it in Jap first. |

Watching Darker Then Black right now.
|
Oh my. I did not expect that serious turn, Chuunibyou. Not at all.
|
m currently watch beyblade v-force one my fave out of the original beyblade trilogy. I'm just so curious on why the original trilogy so hard to find japanese dub with subs.

rerorerorerorerorerorerorerorerorero... Also Oh dang...Mohammed. I know this doesn't kill him though, but I do have to wonder...how does he survive a bullet to the head? |
So I'm watching Gourmet Girl Graffiti and I have not seen so much sexual mouth close up while eating food. I like the show it just the premise of the show making some nice looking food then sexualise them tasting it is all but gets annoying.

Saw the preview for Gundam: The Origin. The CGI looks just as spectacular as it did in the first trailer, and the dubbing is great. The 28th can't come soon enough.
|
Vanguard G.
I love the one second cameo of the villain of the first season of Vanguard that held no importants to the plot. :lol I love how Chrono looked at him with a face that was like "He looks weird" moments like that really tie the two series together for me. |
