It wasn’t the terrible rag rug of fanservice I expected, but it wasn’t really good either. Decent episode. But I make sure to stay away from any pony related site for the next few weeks, they'll gush about this to no end and I'm not interested in reading why these two ponies are lesbians or this or that.

So what this I hear about a doctor whoove focused episode

He's not the focus but he has a major part in the 100th episode (the most recent one). They only call him "Doctor", but they make it pretty clear that they officially based the character on Doctor Who.

I know they best him off the doctor he been my fave pony even if he background character mainly.

I think it was well done in terms of a fanservice episode. It took characters people were begging to see more of, one off characters making a nice return, and secondary/tertiary characters that really don't get to appear often. It had it's fun, followed up on Cranky's story, and gave the unexpected adult fans something special.

But oh well.

The biggest strength is that despite being a parade of fandom characters it managed to tell a cohesive and fun story, fanservice or not, it was so energetic it was hard not to get caught on it.

On the other hand, what the heck was up with the secret identity pony? How did that become a thing?

It was like Daring Do, but not spoiled within the first 10 seconds! I loved it! :lol

I was a bit disappointed with that. I miss the days when his talent was silently flipping over hourglasses. :lol

I am pleased to say that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is available on Netflix Australia for the first time. The first four seasons are currently available.

Last I checked, this might be the only way to watch the latter half of season 4 officially in Australia. I don't know if Stan, Presto or Quickflix have it, and Foxtel's Boomerang certainly doesn't. Madman is currently up to season 3 in terms of home video releases, and it's the same for iTunes.

It could be possible that Hasbro is focusing on streaming for international releases from now on, which I am grateful for. :)

Oh? That's awesome to hear! It always did make me feel like an asshole when I said something (Especially complain) about MLP on Netflix and someone from another country told me that it wasn't available in X or Y region.

I'm just glad we finally have the latter half of Season 4 available. :lol I was so excited when Season 4 finally premiered here after a year or so ... and they stopped midway. Drove me nuts. :D

Now if Season 5 will arrive in a timely manner, that'd be great. Hopefully we will at least follow Netflix US' schedule. :D

To be perfectly honest I didn’t like Canterlot Boutique. At all. The Mane 6 were pretty much useless, the story itself was lame and it was overall a pretty disappointing episode for what should've been Rarity's "big moment".

Haven't seen Rarity Investigates yet, but from the previews I think I already like it better than the last one.

The conflict was more grounded by having Sassy not be over the top evil fashion like Suri, and it was just a case of art vs industry. Also aided by Rarity's reluctance to assert herself. By working in the close knit Ponyville all her life (And only branching out by order, rather than natural expansion of her business), she's used to a caring environment where everyone knows everyone. The business oriented Sassy provided a nice contrast. She wasn't mean or offensive, just merely oppressive by placing money and business over expression and art.
She didn't want to milk Rarity for all she's worth, she just wanted the business to reach it's fullest and become successful.

I liked it.

Rarity Investigates I actually found a little weaker, but I did find the comedy fun.

So I almost watched episode 21 of season 5 out of accident while I was looking for Rarity Investigates. Guess there's been another leak.

I was kinda curious how Fluttershy on Nightmare Night was an intro to a Rarity episode in September, so I looked it up before watching beyond the intro.

So be advised: Spoilers are gonna float around the net. I myself immediately stopped watching after realizing what I was doing, I want to watch this episode when it's due.

Looks to be a great setup though.

finally watching season 5 and i am really enjoying. when does season 6 starts

It's already airing, but it's currently on a mid-season hiatus.

Also, since I'm already here: I think season 6 is really weak. Or rather, I'm not enjoying it and I start to feel that I've already seen everything this show has to offer. If the rest of season 6 stays that way for me I'll drop the show.

I'm half and half on season 6. It's not as lively as season 5, but the enjoyable episodes were really good, which is keeping me into things. Perhaps the post hiatus episodes will raise things, perhaps they'll drop the bar. I dunno.
