Fans can view it however they want. It doesn't change the fact that the show is 100% officially cannon. And we've seen on NUMEROUS occasions in DBZ that villains kept their bodies after death. Need you be reminded of the Ginyu Force? Even when they were sent to Hell from King Kai's place they retained them.

Here's the most specific reason why you're wrong though. The company that produced the game only got the rights to use material from the manga. The ONLY reason the game doesn't reference show only material from DB, DBZ, & GT, is because they don't legally have the rights to do so.

But more to the point Dragonball Online was a game which created tons of paradoxical situations and timelines that cant be canon with the series. The sheer fact that it's an MMO makes that impossible because millions of unique individuals affect the game and create their own stories. Something like that can't possibly sync up. There's also an absurd amount of time travel that makes it impossible to reconcile with anything as well. You get new characters like Miira and the Lord of Time mucking around with the past and dealing with Future Trunks. There are already 4 timelines in the original series as is, this game creates countless more.

That's only in the anime. In the manga, it states the villains don't keep their bodies. People sent to Hell are cleansed and eventually reborn as new life-forms in the living world. That's how Buu was reborn as Uub.

I still don't view GT canon to the manga because the creator had nothing to do with the story and it's not adapted from any his own work. Toriyama views it as a side story of the original Dragon Ball manga.If you view it canon then fine by you. To me, the manga will always be canon since it came out first and it's the source material. Same goes with other anime and manga franchises unless stated otherwise.

First off, GT IS fan fiction because it was not written by Toriyama. It doesn't matter if I like it or not, it was made up by Toei.

Secondly, Battle of Gods wipes GT out of existence.

Third, GT completely messes up the entire ending to Z. Goku is so disappointed with his kids that he leaves to train Oobu. However, Oobu shows up one time in GT and then is never seen again. Oh, and Vegeta is completely out of character, or rather, Vegeta is written as if his development in the Buu saga never occurred.

Finally, I made a simple comment about GT. I was not trying to start some big war over its relevance.

There is absolutely nothing to be gained in continuing to discuss the canonicity of Dragon Ball here, so I'd recommend at this stage that we all drop it and move on.
