Ahoy gang. For Xmas I got S.I.C. Kamen Rider Leangle Jack Form. It's soooooo beautiful!

It's prompted me to bust out my other Super Imaginative Chogokins (they were in a box for part of this year) annnnd I have two questions for ya.

1. What would you say is the #1 forum for SIC discussion? (Not just here, I mean across the internet. In English though.)

2. Both my Kamen Rider Leangle and my Kamen Rider Blade Jack Form have broken joints! Each has a broken knee and a broken elbow. Since these were sold as a two-pack set, I'm guessing the plastics used for this particular set's joints must have been of lower quality than normal, as all my other SICs are still intact. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is this a known issue?

As far as I know, plastics used on SICs are almost always inferior to SHFs. That explains the price, and also probably for ease in manufacturing process. My first SIC, the SIC Kamen Rider G3 & G4 set, both had broken right knee joints right out of the box. And they were MISB! :eek::eek::eek: Since that time I swore to only buy second-hand SICs. Way less risky than buying new. I bought my second SIC, the SIC Kamen Rider G3 Mild second hand. It was cheaper and safer. Then I discovered that broken joints on SICs had been a well-known (or rather, notorious) problem among collectors. That time I decided not to buy SIC again until they fix this problem. I heard the line with the highest number of case was SIC Faiz. If I'm not mistaken, EmGo also had broken joints on his review of SIC Kamen Rider Zangetsu Melon Arms. I think this problem have been eliminated on the new Superior Imaginative Colosseum series.

Thanks! I used to use an old Canon lens adapted onto my Sony A5000 a lot but this was taken at F3.5 with my Sony A6000 with a Sony FE 35mm f/1.8 lens.

Once I got the Sony FE 35mm f/1.5 lens I stopped using the old Canon lens cause it's just so sharp and can autofocus. Haha.

Wait are you sure you mean the full frame 35mm? That's a 700 dollar lens.

Yup. lol. But I got a deal on it so it was roughly half price.

I like how Zero-One pops in my main Rider display. His color scheme really is quite unique among the figures I own.

Poor Blade looks so out of place next to everyone else in terms of sculpt, haha. Hopefully he gets a Seihou soon.

He looked so good in the promotional shots. But in hand... yeah, this one didn’t age very well.

Shinkocchou Seihou Blade would probably one I'd go all-in for; I'd love to have Garren, Chalice and Leangle as well.

Great display, and I see Star Saber down there too. Zero-One looks so good in person but I've been struggling to photograph him.

Star Saber, that’s right. The last G1 MP I really liked. I wish we would get more Japanese G1-stuff.

Anyhow, he does have some weird angles, doesn't he? I totally get what you mean. I found a pose for him that I feel comfortable with but in some of the promotional pictures, taken by professionals, he looks rather wonky.

Thankfully not something he shares with the rest of the lot, I pre-ordered every single Zero-One SHF so far, they're simply gorgeous looking.

About that...

Kind of a reason I'm looking forward to an eventual Gaim Shinkocchou Seihou release, I need one for the main Rider display.

Oh it's not the posing that the problem, it's the black and neon color scheme. I've tried shooting against both light and dark backdrops and it never comes out.

Ah, that is a fair reason. Haha. I still want to pick up Lord Baron just to round out my collection.

This is just a test shot. Basic edit and crop. Figure was just pulled off my shelf, so I didn't repose or do a great job dusting it off. Let me know what you guys think.
