*sitting on bench eating popcorn* So any new rumors or finds other than there will be a core-five team and their heads remind me of Kamen Rider Wizard?
|
There's a split between the five on the scan. So, some Go-Onger and Go-On Wings stuff I guess?

'Split' teams does seem somewhat popular recently, even when the team's fully united. Ryusoulger's Red/Blue/Pink is a 'core' team while Green/Black (and sometimes Gold) are a secondary one; the Kyurangers were constantly put into grabbag teams doing different missions before they also decided to go for the versus format in their V-cinema; and then of course the entire point of Lupinranger vs. Patranger was two separate teams of rangers. Even all the toys recently have gotten in on the action -- all the mechas have had a large focus on interchangeability, and for the most part the 'Auxiliary' mecha aspect has been replaced by just different team members controlling it.
I wonder if it's something they've found to be working out for them. It does make sense -- separate teams is a good way to create some sort of source of conflict, especially if there's different ways of doing things between them ie early Ryusoulger Green/Black. It also allows each member to be more easily identifiable and stand out if they're members of smaller 2/3-team factions rather than one larger 5/6-team one, and that can easily be played up in a variety of ways for toy sales. Personally I like the idea a fair bit, and would not be surprised at this rate to see it continue in Kirameiger. |
This color combination reminds the heraldry.

I wonder if they'll keep using the not-Lego connection system from Ryusoulger or go back to more conventional combining.

If the toy-sales for Ryusoulger have been fairly steady, then there is a possibility they will stick with the principle concept. However, there is the risk of monotony and making a new thing with an old concept! Repeating the "Lego Gattai" system could showcase a clear lack of creativity and ultimately bore kids by flooding the market with "same old, same old". I would do an amalgamation of the two depending on the market: capitalize on the success of Ryusoulger (if the market supports calling the Mecha sales a success) without mimicking it precisely. Create a system that echoes the mix-and-match aspect of LEGOs, without actually looking like "THE SYSTEM" (small nod to The Toys That Made Us)! |
So it seems that we will be getting some new info VERY soon. What is everyone's final verdict for their prediction? I for one would like to think machinery powered by magic.
