I went back to the product page, but it only mentions that you can make JokerJoker by taking parts from a regular Double kit.

Ooh! No wonder he's a bit pricy! Bandai really upping their game. Hope the Kamen Rider plamo (Riderpla?) scene gets almost as big as the Gunpla scene. Kamen Rider has SO many designs that deserve their own figure!

I don't know about Riderpla, but definitely the Figure-rise Standard line is seeing a lot of healthy growth. Bandai has access to many popular franchises and the demand seems to be there.

It comes down to the technology of delivering an accurate representation of a character without too many stickers required for color accuracy- at price of less than about $40.

Gunpla retains such a great value proposition because Bandai already owns the rights to Gundam (Sunrise studios being a subsidiary). Even though they have a good relationship with Toei, Kamen Rider plastic model kits are still subject to license costs.

I hope they continue to do well and expand. While I have loved them, so far they only release about 4 riders a year plus one or two Premium-bandai recolours -- so I'd love to see more content, especially with how cheap these are.

I really hope the line continues to grow too. I might be an incompetent doof when it comes to building them, but I do legit like these, and I think the Riders have definitely been the best kits when it comes to the FSR series.

imo, I think hold off on Build as long as you can. It was he first in the FRS line and it is out of scale with the others. I hope they re-do him and fix his thigh stickers.

How “out of scale” is he?
