Mr. Newman said it might be possible to bring over future Digimon web exclusives back at NYCC. They can bring over web exclusives if they're in a target property for the US. That's why the Gouraigers figuarts got release here given that Hurricaneger was adapted into Ninja Storm.
There's a market for Digimon in the US and Digimon seems to making a comeback with Fusion starting now. I think it would sell well given how popular the older seasons were. |
I'd like to see Frontier and Fusion represented in the near future. I think Shoutmon X4 would be kind of boring since he's so similar to Omegamon, but I expect that's what they would do. I'd really like to see Agunimon. Really though.. I'd love to see a bunch of Champion & Ultimate Digimon from the first three seasons, both good and bad. My expectations are extremely low though. I don't expect much. If things continue like they have I don't expect to see anymore Digimon releases this year.. Given that it's the 15th ann. I would hope to see more showings from Bandai.

Frontier figuarts would be nice, but that season was not very popular. I can see Digimon figuarts from Season 1-3 for now since they will likely sell well.
|
Heads up fellas, I posted this in the D-Arts thread as well. But from now on this thread will retroactively encompass not only the non-toku S.H. Figuartsm but also any figures previously released under the D-Arts banner.
|
Posting to non-toku since the four additions are all unrelated...
Checklist now has Imperialdramon and the piracy guys. |
I would love to see them make a leomon figuarts. he played important roles in season 1 and 3 of digimon. plus the sword and its affects, along with a fist of the beast king effect, would be awesome. as for frontier I loved it.
|
Leomon would be pretty cool to own.
|
Leomon is a big want of mine as well. He left a big impression on me.
Tag Hobby just posted that Bandai will be releasing SHF Naruto in July 2014. He didn't say anymore than that.. Pretty big news if it's true, and I personally value what he says. https://www.facebook.com/cybergundam |

But if so I'm so looking fo-- Fuck. That's the same month as the excessively expensive Imperialdramon. >_< (But he'll still be mine.) |
anyone here have the joe shimamura figuart from the 009 RE:CYBORG movie?
|
I hope that Imperialdramon is just the tip of the iceberg. With how Digimon doing well in America again, and this year being the 15th anniversary now is the perfect time to kick Digimon off again. I know people hate wishlists, so I won't get into that, but seriously Bandai has a lot of figures they need to make from Digimon so that the series as a whole is represented well.
I hope Naruto is really coming out, it wouldn't surprise me after Imperialdramon. Heck, maybe even Medabots will make a comeback! One can dream. :D I can talk about Megaman in here now too, lol. I hope they finally give us some idea if they'll be doing Protoman or not. The beginning of a new year is always so exciting! |
I'd love for a Protoman (And Metal Man *Cough*) SHF, but I just want to see more Digimon, personally.
|
Digimon seems to be making a comeback in the US thanks to Fusion. I've been seeing more ads for it and toys at Target. If there's enough demand for it then it's possible we will get more stuff. Tamashii Nations have made stuff for the US market before.
|
I feel like with Megaman if they made Protoman I would be fine if they called it a day. There is so much I want, but in the end, they would have at least made the main characters I really want. It's much easier to focus on my Megaman wants as they're very specific. Whereas with Digimon there is so much I want that I can't begin to scratch surface. I want it all, you know? lol. I don't care who they make, just keep making them. Yeah, I have characters I really want, but I think the reality is my favorite Digimon probably aren't on Bandai's to do list at this point. So that's influencing me as well. Once Digimon reaches the point that Megaman has I think it'll be easier to get more invested in the line again. We went from not knowing whether the line was ending soon or not to a revival of sorts.. but I don't feel confident enough to say we're out of the forest yet. Am I speaking gibberish? lol.

With Digimon, the problem is that there is tons of different media and characters exclusive to those media. The anime, the manga, the games, the cards, all of them having characters and forms of characters that the others don't. With Digimon, we could all make a list of 50 characters we'd want to see as Figuarts and it would be a miracle if even 10 are identical. It's crazy the number of options there are. However, I do have one request. Please, Bandai, don't go overboard on the Veemon forms. He has, like, 5 different evolution lines, 2 of which are Royal Knights and 1 of which started the group, and yet we got Imperialdramon Fighter Mode? *Groans* |

I really want them to make an Anguimon, because I really like his design. I also want more Persona human characters, since Max Factory never gave us a complete cast. (That said, I wouldn't mind some more Personas as well.) |
Metal Man would be awesome, I agree. I'd be happy to get just one Megaman villain in SHF at this point.
You got it.. Digimon is tough. I love Imperialdramon, I think given how popular Omegamon is it was a logical choice. It's not the figure I would have picked personally, though I think he's awesome, but it makes sense. I imagine we'll eventually Shoutmon X4, but I would prefer to see at least Diaboramon before that. As well as Agunimon and Lobomon, though Susanoomon is more likely if we get anything from Frontier at all. |
While I'd love it, Diaboromon's wire-like limbs wouldn't really fit for an articulated figure. Diaboromon is kind of limited to SHF Zero.
As for possible Frontier characters, Susanoomon is the most likely candidate, I agree. While I'd personally prefer Beetlemon, Lowemon, or Korikakumon, Susanoomon feels like it closer represents what the Digimon figures aim for with their character picks. |
I don't have a preference to how Diaboromon is released, just that he is. lol. FZ would be fine.
I think so far every Digimon figure released has been a Mega level Digimon right? So it's probably a pipe dream to think Bandai will make Rookie, Champion, or Ultimate level Digimon. I really wish they would though. Mega's are awesome, but to not make any other levels is really short sighted. :( |
Well, it's not exactly a pipe dream. Magnamon, one of the Royal Knights, is an Armor Digimon, who's treated as a Champion level character with the power of an Ultimate (Or Mega, depending on the circumstances), so perhaps if we get him, it could open the floodgates for other such characters at that level...
|
Now Magnamon is someone I can really get excited about, he's probably my all-time favorite form of Veemon. I'm surprised to see Bandai move away from the Royal Knights releases, but I think it was a good move for now. There are a lot of Champion Digimon in particular that are more than popular enough to deserve figures.
|
And here I am, just hoping for Figuarts G Red...

True, he just reminds me a lot of GaoGaiGar. I hope the line merging does open up some new possibilities.
|
I think the most glaring problem with Champion characters is design. Looking at the Adventure cast, the only ones that seem viable for articulated releases are Angemon and Garurumon. The rest are either just not really viable (Though, Greymon and Kabuterimon would make badass MonsterArts :lol).
Though, Ikakkumon would make a pretty good Zero... *Note: While, from a design standpoint, Gatomon would make a fine Champion level character to release, it would just seem a little odd, since the house cat character is now the size of Imperialdramon. OMG G-RED COULD BE IN 1:1 SCALE! I WANT IT :lol |

I was definitely thinking along the lines of Devimon, Angemon, Garurumon, Leomon, and various others from the other seasons. It would be somewhat limited, but there are some great choices among those. Then you have some great Ultimate characters as well. I would love some MonsterArts Digimon releases. It would be awesome, even if the scale was wonky, to have a full evolutionary line for a single character. Like Agumon.

Bluefin will be distributing Imperialdramon Fighter.
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater |
Which is some great news.
|
Great news, but too little too late. In this day and age there's no reason they couldn't have posted that early. I'm sure a lot of people PO'd him from Japanese sites because in the past Bluefin didn't import Digimon. They could have at least said Digimon was a strategic brand earlier to give us a heads up. lol.
|
If the price is right, I might spring for it.
However, I'm still rather inclined to wait for a Paladin Mode, so I can still have it be associated with the Royal Knights despite not being a Knight himself. |
Paladin Mode is just a straight redeco right? I can see that happening, maybe even as a standard release since someone at Bandai seems to have a thing for the Royal Knights, lol. I can't blame them though, I love them too.

Oh, and he better include the Giga Crusher. |
As long as Bluefin tells me they are importing him before I buy him somewhere else, I don't care what he is. lol.
|
Wow. The Mario and the accessory sets are cheaper than I thought they would be. I'm almost tempted to order them.
