Sometimes I think I should switch hobbies to something less merchandise driven, like art appreciation or something like that.

This only lasts for a few minutes, and afterwards I proceed to stare at my monitor for new Kamen Rider toys that I'll probably never buy.

Short version: I'm really liking this line, removable armor was one of my favorite gimmicks when I was a kid, and this looks awesome.

That Durian is the best idea they've ever had :lol

Removable armour is always a good gimmick. It usually doesn't effect the base toy, and if it gets in the way you can take it off! Plus, armour is like guns. It's practical in action-oriented play, hence the perfect gimmick for toys.

I know! it actually makes sense and adds to the play value.

Not like the stupid "press his legs together to make him slash" or something like that, God I hate and always hated that.

Will the rider lockseeds make a appearance In the show? Or merchandise only.

And I can't wait to see what kind of weapon the durian uses.

I'd guess like the Rider Medals, Switches and Rings, they may appear in the crossover film/Gaim's film.

They would nicely complement the previously mentioned cherry bombs :lol

Now that I think about it, I could really see the durian being grenade themed. Spike and smell explosions!

I originally learned what they were from super Mario sunshine on the GameCube. Always thought it was an odd choice to include in that game. Lol

If I ever travel over seas, that's the first thing I wanna eat.

My brother and I went to a farmer's market last week in hopes of finding a fresh durian to eat, but no luck :lol

So what's the general consencious on the riders? I Personally like zangetsu the most, as of right now. Gaimu is nice too, the unsymmetrical helmet kinda bugs me though.

Mango for Balon and Kiwi for Ryugen. Sorry if some else said something and I missed it.

Griton and Baron I don't like, I hope their other forms improve on the original design.

But the other three I love, I mean an Orange samurai, another samurai that resembles Kuuga/ N-Daguva-Zeba, and Grape Mele; what's not to love.

I had no idea what Durian was until it showed up a few times on Chopped, and once on Food Network Star.

When you get down to it, none of use were born with the knowledge of what a durian is.

I just know it's pointy on the outside, sticky on the inside, and apparently smells like wet garbage :lol

I'm glad Baron's other lock form is going to look a little better.I hope we get to see a few more locks too,ones we haven't seen before the show starts.

My Theory about Gaim(u).

My thinking it the show will be a combination of Kyoryuger's funky dancing and music themes, Fourze's light heartidness, and my hope is also Kuuga's deep rich storytelling. Maybe. I do like the fact that there are a team, and teams, of Riders. We haven't had that since Ryuki I think. And I do love the fruit theme, and the breakdancing. And the fact one of them uses a freaking Durian :lol Most obscure fruit ever.
But I also understand why some people don't like this idea at all. But you have to look at it this way. Look at the world now, look at who it's marketed towards. Combining that and other factors means, rather sadly, we won't be getting dark themed Sentai or Riders again for a long time. Which I have mixed feelings about. I loved the lighthearted fun of OOO and Fourze. Kyroyuger and Goseiger. But I also loved Kuuga and Agito.
What would be great is if they changed demographics a little. Keep Sentai kid-friendly with Gokaiger and Kyoryuger styled themes. But make Kamen Rider into a more mature, late-teen to adult, series. With darker themes and Riders.
All that said I am very much looking forward to Gaimu. I love the Lock Seeds, I love his Knife Belt that slices through them to Henshin, I love a giant fruit bashes him in the head, and I absolutely love that one is a freaking Durian.

I honestly don't think Gaim's going to be as lighthearted as a show about Street Dancing Fruit Samurai might imply, the main reason being the head writer, who's known for a lot of pretty dark shows, but other than that, the Riders won't be some happy team, they're going to fight each other, it's even been mentioned that there will be a Rider War, like in Ryuki, and, well, that didn't exactly turn out to well for the Riders in that.

You know, as much as I dislike Kyoryuger, I'd rather Gaimu be another Fourze than another Kuuga, not just because of my hatred for Kuuga but I hate it when series try and smash goofy and gritty together, it's impossible to take seriously and just becomes incredibly dumb.

It's like in Wizard when Wizard is trying to have a serious, dramatic moment and his stupid Driver is inanely singing the drama away in the background, if you're gonna have giant fruit falling out of the sky to transform I'd rather see them embrace its ridiculousness and make a series as utterly insane as the concept, not shy away from it in some grim mismatched story.

So according to the link,they use street dancing to pass time,but they have another hobby.They use little monsters from another dimension called Inbess.The monsters of the week come from the fact that the portals the small Inbess come from are growing larger,letting bigger and fiercer Inbess through.(And yes I believe this because how many former Rider series lately have had small creatures that the heroes use?)

It's honestly starting to seem that you all will take every bit of new info and start foaming at the mouth over how "Amazing awesome this series is getting."
It's hard to want to care about Gaimu when you all are overhyping it without even seeing the damn thing yet.

It's even more frustrating because if you say something bad about it, it's like that scene in New Moon where Bella gets a paper cut and yet it's perfectly accepted in this thread to gargle the series without even seeing anything beyond a few images.

Hey,I'm just saying the premise of it sounds awesome.And I know it's going to have a decent story.But I never once said it would be successful.I just said that I thin that I would like it.As for people not liking it,I already said that is their opinion.

I'm going to wait for the show to make a final call too,I'm just saying that from what I've seen and heard about it so far,it sounds cool.
