Even if Bravo's Durian doesn't transform as long as he can still swap with others AC figures I'll be happy. Would also be nice if they threw in a fruit form to stick on heads if that's the case.

Being a web exclusive, and part of the "cheap affordable" line, I can see this actually having a more complex engineering. I'm also hoping I'm right.

I won't mind at all if they compromise on Bravo. A simplified transformation in exchange for a figure that exists is definitely worthwhile.

It's not unprecedented though. Wizard Rings, Ranger Keys, and Zyudenchi have been released this way before as well.

Not liking the idea of Bravo being an exclusive, be it for the AC version or a potential Figuarts release. This is one rider I'd love to bring home and this makes doing so likely an impossibility for me.

I don't see why people are saying that the Bravo figure isn't transformable based on the silhouette. The shoulder spikes will stay on the outside of the durian, and the helmet should be able to fit inside without much trouble. The front panel might just flip down instead of folding, in order to make room for the Mohawk.

Based on every other arms change figure.

They all have huge armour, particularly shoulder pads. It may transform, we don't know for sure. But all logic points to it not. Unless of course the silhouette isn't actually the figure, and just a mock-up on an AC body blacked out.

A non-transforming figure even is fine by me. I just want Bravo.

I like the idea of it being non-transforming armour that still clips on and off the figure. Like the Den-O souchaku Henshins.

Honestly, I think I might have preferred if the AC went for clippable, but non transforming armour. I have little purpose for the fruit forms, and although the transformations are fun, I don't remove them from the figure for the sake of transforming them because I'd only have to clip them back on again.

And things like Mango's Kinder cape could have been completely avoided if they didn't have to fold it back up again.

The spikes will be dulled and nubbed up a bit, the side helmet spikes will be shorter, but beyond that, it's NOT impossible. I imagine the front of the durian will better resemble the chest plate.

But you don't seem to get MY point.

I'm not talking about is is possible to have the end result fold up. I'm specifically talking about a show-accurate transformation, which is impossible. And because they elected to give it an impossible transformation, verses every other fruit having obsurdly simple ones, Bravo was obviously never designed with an AC in mind.

And the thing is, you're forgetting the Durian isn't entirely hollow. A head, helmet AND armatures need to fit in there. How are the shoulders gonna fold up with spikes there?

If the blacked out image is the actual toy, no way in hell. That's not how physics or Arms Change work. Then again we can't be for sure until we SEE the toy.

IF it transforms, it will not be like the show. THAT is my point. Personally I always thought it's work if the chest piece rotated horizontally as it flipped down, so the chest was the outside of the Durian flipped over. That way it could sit flush on the chest, too.

It is possible. He's just being purposely obtuse because he is holding onto an opinion which, in light of the reveal of the Web Exclusive nature of his release, is now wrong.

He's a Transformers fan, my brain melts at the fact he doesn't understand that it doesn't have to transform like it does in the show, which is what he seems to be clinging onto, hilarious as that is. Not every Arms Change has even done that!

Using words like "logic" and "physics" to describe a fictional universe with fictional things that fall from a fictional sky and people have fictional fights is hilarious. They can have it transform and fold up any way they want to, and it's totally legit. I would bet my entire collection of Figuarts AND SAS on the Durian Arms that comes with Bravo's Arms Change figure being fold up / transformable, show accuracy be damned. Because it doesn't NEED to be. none of the figures are 100% show accurate, ffs.

Thats how I'm hoping the Figuarts work. With snapping on armor, or some such, so you can have them use different LockSeeds without having to buy new Figuarts.

A bit early to be calling that. :p You never know, he might use it for the majority of the show after its debut.

I dislike the principle though. You buy the first wave of AC stuff...only to then have to replace all the figures for the Energy Armours? That seems to defeat the whole point of the line. Unless the energy upgrades are actually good, I don't feel like buying the whole set again for the sake of different belts, especially as the current belts on the figures have like no detail on them at all.

Pretty typical for a toy line, though. For example, in Dekaranger, Magiranger, or Gekiranger, you buy the first mecha (Dekaranger Robo, Magiking, Gekitohja) and then later on they are completely replaced by newer ones (Dekawing robo, Magilegend, GekiFire) as the main mecha.

I remember buying Prowl in Transformers Animated, then he started wearing that Samurai Suit everywhere, it was a bit disappointing.

Not a bad idea though, to stick to just the first ones. At least you have the base form.

The head is different on Shin too, and not just the part that goes in the Energy Melon. There is silver detailing on the top and bottom, the jewel is a different color, and there's a silver bit in the crest too. Plus, he doesn't use the Musou Saber anymore, so the little holder on the side has to be changed.

Who knows if any of that will actually BE changed on the figure though.
