what series when you first watched it you hated it but on second viewing you actually ended up liking it?

and also the reverse what series when you first watched you loved but on rewatching it was no where near as good as you remember?

for me the series i hated at first but after seeing it again i liked was go-busters.

never gave this one a chance when it was first on and regret it now


and the series i liked first time through but hated on second viewing is probably gokaiger.

it's not horrible but no where near as enjoyable as it was first time through the actual story is sort of meh

Second viewing and liking a season would have to go to Dairanger. At first, I thought it was lacking, but after a re-watch, I really dug it. The rangers were pretty dynamic and the story was so confusing and left me wanting more.

Second viewing and disliking a season is easily Zyuranger. I will admit that I watched it while wearing my nostalgia goggles the first time, but with the re-watch (and after have seen a few more seasons) I watched it objectively instead of trying to spot stuff I saw in MMPR. The season is pretty bad. The troubled kid of the day schtick was very lackluster (although the actor who played ToQ6-go was one of those kids), the running story lines lacked depth, and the season just kind of ended. It was a little disappointing.

So back-to-back seasons that I had completely different opinions on after a re-watch.

It's head design is pretty silly, but I like the sillyness, and it more than makes up for it with it's claw hands and giant stegosaurus tail :D

Oh, and top 3 weapons?

I love the design otherwise, especially the tail. It's just that I can't get past the head, is all :lol

Why I feel that Super Sentai are giving a pre-school lesson-type like Dora the explorer like in ToQger Episode 7 when Hikari got angry at Kagura for destroy his Kendama but realize that he shouldn't get angry over one stuff?

Is Super Sentai like Superhero version of any Pre-school while Kamen Rider give us more drama lesson

^ToQGer and Super Sentai in general, teaches lessons to their audience. Don't overeat, it's better to work as a team, don't or take short cuts to achieve a goal, etc. That is why the trope/plot lines we see every year will continue to be used. Those lessons never go out of style.

Do you think gokaiger shouldve had another season?

Yes and no. Yes because even though it is an anniversary series it has much potential. No because to many shows have been drawn and made horrible.

Well they were going on to another adventure for the 2nd greatest treasure. It would be cool but at zangyack world idk.

I honestly think if Gokaiger got another season, the writers would feel obligated to continue the past sentai references and try to get more cameos. And the second greatest treasure in the universe might not be nearly as exciting; I mean, do you remember who has won the silver in the 100m dash in the 2012 Summer Olympics? Second isn't as cool.

The aspect of them being on Zangyack's world would be neat, but also the leader and all of his generals were killed. So, in theory, the Gokaigers should have been able to enter the world and search for the treasure without much trouble.

Honstly, if you continue one series, you might have to continue all of them. No past Sentai had a second season, so Gokaiger shouldn't have one either. I'd rather have a new Sentai than Gokaiger 2.

Aaaand if a series as only one season, there's a lot of room for fanfictions writers to make their own season 2 ;)

Yup I dont need a second season of Gokaiger or any other sentai. Books or movies are completely fine but another full length show isnt something I would want to see.

How would an animal themed Sentai work now? Since so many Sentai incorporate animal themed weapons and mecha even when animals have little to do with the main motif.

Well when you break it down, we've mostly had dinosaurs, birds, and jungle animals. I think it would be cool to base it around the major animal groups of mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, insects, and reptiles.

I'd love to see an all reptile sentai.

I think Shinkenger and Gokaiger had great opening episodes and Gekiranger gave me an instant connection to Jan.

Given how many sports teams are named after animals of all sorts, why not incorporate athlete heroes with animals?

Well, tearjerkers as based on the connection to a character and then seeing something tragic happen to the character.

When Jan finds out what happened to his family in Gekiranger. That episode was extremely sad.

It has to be episode 40 and 41 in Gokaiger.

Episode 40 with Time Yellow breaking down and getting emotional when realizes that the little boy picture in the group photo with the woman he dated while he was in the past was his son.

Episode 41 with Ahim seeing that MOTW that killed her family and planet. The scene where she breaks down and starts crying when she tried to sneak out of the ship to fight him alone and the team catches her before she leaves was powerful and had very good acting from Yui Koike. That episode also gave us one of the most badass action sentai girl scene that I haven't seen in the other shows after Gokaiger since.
