I dont like alot of Inoue stuff but hes not a bad writer. For all the hate he gets people always seem to forget that he has written alot of good stuff too. Like Agito, Jetman and some of the best episodes of Kuuga. So I would be okay with Inoue if hes paired with a producer who knows how to handle Inoues style of writing and when to let him run wild and when to hold him back.

Bes case for me though would be a completely new writer. I like seeing what fresh talent who never worked on toku before would handle a Rider show.

The problem is he had no range of emotion. Or perhaps it was his actor that was the problem, but the man was so dead pan in his facial expressions. Kotaro in Black might not have had the deepest amount of development, but at least his actor showed he had fun with the character. Even in his darkest moments on screen his actor could pull off a momentary grin or something to show that the actor was enjoying himself. Haruto's actor, on the other hand just seemed like he was there because he had to be, not because he wanted to be.


To be fair, there was a reason for that.

I'm glad they're making Ghost dark, it'll make Kamen Rider more serious. The whole "all fun and games" thing is for sentai.

Why not both?

Super Sentai and Kamen Rider have shown multiple times that they can handle dark elements just as well as lightheartedness. Especially in the same series.

Odds are that's spot as far as we know: So then Ghost's weapon gimmick is a cross between Double & Den-O.... I like it! But nothing for Edison Eh?.... might be because that form uses electricity.

Yeah, when I heard about these gadgets I thought it was W all over again, but adding the Dengasher like aspect to it gets me excited. I believe Edison, and based on the news below, Newton are forms that have powers so no weapons needed. I mentioned other news...

Awww man, I was hoping spectres base form eyecon would be with the driver not his weapon.

His weapon doesn't really look like it has any possibility for more than two forms, so I guess he doesn't have different weapons for his other eyecons?

I remember seeing Ghost with two swords for the Musashi form from the very small picture of the toy guide so I definitely believe that's true. I like a lot of what I'm hearing from this season.

I can see that. I definitely expect to see a new Rider or Riders probably with a Different Driver like Gaim.

Well they do mention that Ghost will be walking into a war, plus the whole collect all the eyecons get the wish concept has to mean more than one rider will enter the fray otherwise it wouldn't be much of a war haha.

I don't like how the Eyecons look exactly the same aside form color and the icon inside the eye. I mean sure, the Lockseeds and Shift Cars also utilized the same basic mold, but at least they look vastly different from each other.

There could be only two riders and thousands of other people looking after these things who have similar powers but don't use a driver.

Something like the Gaia Memories, you don't need to use a driver, but if you use them without one you go insane.

I can totally see that. Would be pretty cool imho.

Generic silhouettes for the Movie War 2016 Ghost Eyecons. Since there's two of them I'm gonna bet that both Ghost and Spectre each get a new form.

I really like the references to the historical figures on the actual Eyecons' irises. They each have a symbol/icon incorporated into the iris and, by extension, Ghost/Spectre's mask. You have a lightbulb for Edison, katanas for Musashi, a bow & arrow for Robin, a revolver for Billy the Kid, music notes for Beethoven, and Tanegashima for Nobunaga. Not to mention that each Eyecon has horns on the iris as well that denote which Rider uses them (one horn for Ghost, two for Spectre).

Maybe Ghost and Spectre might get special Drive and Mach forms or maybe a Racecar Driver and a Motorcycle Rider spirits.

I like it when both of the riders use the same driver because it means they will be closer together.

Meh, the appearance in the movies hardly ever tend to be how they actually are. Remember how cool and different Wizard was in the Fourze movie? Not to mention his voice sounded pretty awesome compared to what we actually got.

BTW, I love that the Icons are octagons.

While they aren't spot-on, they're still pretty close to the final character, if anything. Like OOO had a signature pose you never see again, Fourze was a bit more subdued in his enthusiasm, Wizard was slightly more dynamic, but they were still a pretty good representation of what to expect Rider and ability-wise.

So what concept do you think Ghost will use?

W - detective

Fourze - high school
Wizard - a person who possesses magic and gives hope to people
Gaim - street dancing
Drive - police

What next? I'm hoping for the Crow concept where he was brought back to set the things that were wronged back to the right path.

All I want to do is pre-order the toys.

I mean, there is only so many ways to depict an eyeball. The white part always has to be white, and the pupil/iris is where the color comes in. The locks looked different because they had different fruit on it. Fruit that comes in many shapes, sizes, and colors. Here the eyeball still has to look like an eyeball, which only gives so much room for change.

Also, I think in terms of theme, the eyeball is meant to be the focus and not so much what is on it. I'd say the opposite is true of Gaim, where the fruit was the focus and not so much the lock.

Huh, I didn't notice the ''horn''! That's a clever design choice, to use it to show which Rider uses each eyecon.

I hate Twitter sometimes. Somebody said the GanGan Saber looks like it has a zipper going up the middle of it, and now I can't unsee it. The fashion rider won't die.

If we go by the scans. The gangan sabre is 400mm long. What's that comparative to the Dengasher? Or Musou sabre?

So why is a hand modeled into the musket? Do the gun fire and then finish off the monster with a wicked back-hand slap?

What about the kaijin? These.... Ganma?

The lesser ones take possession of the human in order to gain physical form? While the major ones - the generals take possession of dead bodies (those now in a morgue) in order to exist in the physical plane to set up their plans?

So far, Robin is my favorite, but Musashi doesn't look too bad either.

For me its a tie between Edison Soul and Musashi Soul so far. Newton Soul looks kinda boring.

I'm almost scared by the fact that his hands are balls.
