I'm sorry, but BS. The reception of Dark Pit being an actual roster character in Japan has been just as negative as everywhere else in the world. Japan isn't anymore forgiving when it comes to crap as the rest of the world. They're not magically ignorant of the fact that he is literally (even more then Lucina) a clone character with the same bravado as a newcomer.

Uh-huh. Very vocal, I guess, considering at least 60% of forum posters either really wanted him or didn't are much for the character but saw him as a worthy choice considering the Smash franchises' goals.

Or, which is the actuality, not a very vocal minority, but the actual majority.

Eitherway you're still ignoring the rest of the blatantly obvious bias. Its not just Dark Pit. Its not just the roster. Or the items. Or the stages. Or the music. Or the move-sets. Or Smash Run. Its literally in every single part of the game that Kid Icarus: Uprising has been given far more representation it deserves. Refer to my list.

I just had a multiplayer match with a bunch of Competitive players. :lol
I did really well, even though i have no experience in such an enviroment. Guess my practice with Megaman i paying off.
Sure i did well but in the later part of the match they got the upper hand and it ended up with a sudden death. I lost it.
Then the guy next to me just goes all. "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!!

I haven't had any issues with mine. People are probably being too hard on it and slamming it with much more force than necessary. I've been pleasantly surprised by how nice the circle pad feels with this game, and like I said, unless you just mercilessly slam the thing around it shouldn't cause significant problems.

Earlier today i played another match against a few competitive players and let me say, that was probably the most intense match of Smash bros i've had since summer of 2008. :lol
Throughout the whole 2 minutes we were trying as hard as we could to not fall off the stage, by the end of it our HP was at the Red. My heart was beating so dang fast when i won the sudden death.

Kinda disappointed in the videos.


I STILL think Jigglypuff's Final Smash should involve a marker and slapping. :P

The final countdown for this games western release is killing me...
This'll be the first time i get a Smash game at launch.

I just hope Charizard doesn't suck.
Strangely enough, the only Pokemon that doesn't interest me is Lucario. The other 4 I'm rather interested in.

I don't care for the Demo, honestly it doesn't play well on the 3DS, I can't wait for it on the Wii U though and can use my Gamecube controller with it.

It plays just fine, it'll just take you a few days to get used to the new controls. I've gotten used to them.

The only reason people say it doesn't play well on the 3DS is because you all got too used to playing on a Gamecube controller, since you all have been using that for the past decade or so.

Yeah, it's tough adjusting to new controls but now that I've done it I like the 3DS controls just fine. The only thing I don't like is how pressing up on the circle pad makes you jump, it makes it hard to do up-smash or up-tilt. I'm sure that'll be an option to remove in the full version though, the past games did that too and let you change it.

I play Mega Man in the demo, his best moves are his smash attacks it's ridiculous to try and use them with the Circle Pad. I'm not trying to be negative and good for you guys that you have adjusted to it. Personally I am so used to the bottom button being jump that having it be special attack is so bad. I barely jump because I'm not used to the buttons they are, I completely forget about L and R because it's weird. I can't get my edge that I have from the consoles on the 3DS and I've wanted Smash Bros. on a portable since the DS! Though I think a lot of my problems can be fixed in the real version of the game because you can switch the controls but the demo has just turned me off from it. Also Mega Man's B moves are pathetic and his regular A move the shooting sucks too. Pretty much every other A move of Mega Man's are his good moves.

Of course I'm going to love the Gamecube controller I still have my Gamecube, hell I'd use an N64 controller for it, to be fair I'd even rather use my Ps3 controller. Don't get me wrong I love the 3DS and I love the other fighting games on the 3DS. Smash Bros. should have evolved the formula for the systems it's on.

Hmm, I wish you could have alternate throws. How cool would it be if Mega Man's throw was Thunder Claw instead of Power Arm?

Personally i've played the demo so much that i've adjusted to it's controls, now when i play melee i'm off my game.

Concerning controls, the only issue I have is the throw being L.
I'm more used to the throw being on the right side. I know I can throw with block+A, but I can't use that throw in the heat of the moment.

You know, with the whole "You can now customize attacks for every character!" thing now, remind me why Ray or Ray 01 from Custom Robo wasn't chosen for the game, again...

Yeah. I'm the same. Grab right Shield left. I managed to adapt though.

I've wanted a playable Ray 01 ever since I played the Gamecube game. It'd be a perfect fit for this game and they no excuse to not do a Custom Robo rep with most of Mega Man's moves being projectile based.

Ray would be great, and with it's arsenal, it has tons of options. I just can't see why it didn't make the cut, especially with the new customize feature...

Well we now have less than a week before SSB 3DS drops onto our laps.

I'm still worried about Circle Pad breakage but I doubt I'll go beyond 3.0 intensity. Also the Smash Miiverse is being overrun by trolls.

"sigh" I know waiting for things suck but don't ruin it for the rest of us.

In case you guys didn't know (although it's about to release on the eShop, so this might not help much), an update is required to play online! And anticipating the massive hit to their servers, Nintendo is letting the update be downloaded early and independently of the game! It's... weird, but still kind of convenient.

Played the game for about 90 minutes or so and it's looking like I need to find a new main :( Kirby isn't quite working for me with the new button placement, although Imma keep practicing because I love the little pink blob.

Out of the new non-demo guys I've tried Pac-Man seems pretty okay, but Greninja surprised me quite a bit. Will have to practice a bit more with it.

Maaaan, I really wish I had chosen to pick this up in store. Because I took a half day so am now sitting at home bored when I could be playing Smash. :lol

So far in a weird turn of events bowser jr. has turned out to work well , which is good since falco feels weird in this game compared to brawl.

One more character and stage left to go till i have everything in the game!

I just tried a online 4-player match and the 3DS just couldn't cope with it. Lagged almost the entire way through and it was almost impossible to work out what I was doing. Won't be trying that again any time soon.

Yeah, the netcode sucks. it really depends on your connection. God help you if you fight someone with a bad connection.

So far the game's been a blast but I'm struck with Toon Link's Target Blast. None of his sucky attacks will launch the bomb far enough to do anything and I'm close to tearing my hair out.
