I'm sure Toei is aware of the fox emoji in the spoilers from the guest actors (if not orchestrated them themselves, because few people will actually risk their jobs and pass off something for which they can be punished) and this is just part of their advertising campaign to stir up interest fans. I think the fox still plays some role in Geats, but not the fact that this is his theme / form. The fox might as well be something like Secchan in Zenkaingers.

I...I dunno if he'd have grounds. I mean he certainly could try if there's too much of a resemblance. But in the end, he might lose the fight because Toei has more money to put into court proceedings. And there's no way in hell Toei is going to cut a production short and go back to square one this close to airing or during actual airing of the series.

These rumours feel sort of slapdash to me, not really feeling them? The sketch in particular feels very "Let me draw a helmet based on the current rumour and the logo" but I don't dislike it so I'd be okay if it's teal lol

Simply put: Think of the kids. Much more familiar to who Revi and Vice are, they'll have more fun dancing along to heroes they know. We, the adults, here are well aware of the early-bird cameo in summer movie pattern. To the young kids, whom Revice is probably their first or second Rider series ever, Geats would simply be another movie Rider until the commercials start rolling out. (And before anyone asks, pretty sure press conferences obviously are a "for investors/collectors/older fans" thing, very few children are probably watching them...) And most importantly: I don't think a stageshow/public event suit for Geats hasn't even been put in production yet, at this point?

Ironheng is probably scooping up rumors from other sites and posting them, hence the varying quality of leaks.....


I'm willing to believe at least 40% of the recent rumors of the past two days are real, it's *far* too close to a proper (official) reveal to be rattling off rumors of this length and detail for clout purposes. Are they really confusing and complicated? Definitely, but that's probably because us (and the leakers) don't quite have the full picture.

Personally, from all the recent rumors, I took out only:
1) Geats will have animal riders and the protagonist is most likely a fox.
2) Suits are two piece and change horizontally.
All the ninjas and others don't seem particularly convincing to me yet. So the brand of the most secretive show of the franchise Geats is still confidently holding.

I do want to mention something that's been bothering me for a while: in this day and age, why would Bandai go for a belt that such a large cast (5+) all use?

-It's not like it hasn't been done before, of course. Even tho some Riders upgrade (or switch back and forth) to other Drivers, well over half of Gaim's cast use the Sengoku Driver, but that's pretty much the last time that's happened? We're sure to get a in-universe explaination(all riders are part of the same faction or whatever), but what's the mindset of those toymakers making it?

For the consumer, it feels like a no-brainer: the average household will probably only buy a single DX Driver (the protag's). Having a driver compatible with roughly 70% of the cast will probably encourage said average household to buy more gimmicks, since the driver's compatible with all of that, right? But like.....that doesn't feel right?

Pardon me, I'm not too familar with the toy side of the franchise (I don't collect anything and I don't plan to anytime soon), but...Rider seems like a brand acutely aware of its older collectors and always trying to find ways to squeeze some coin out of them, no? Under the assumption that Geats will end with 9-12 Riders (roughly the average now these days), having more than 3+ Riders share the same belt seems like one is actively trying to avoid making an extra buck..

Who knows what the future holds, though. Maybe half the cast switches to a new belt later on, maybe everything we know about the Driver is made up, perhaps Bandai already has a way to maximize the shit out of the new gimmick in terms of profit. It just seems kinda strange to me,,

In all honesty, it's a pretty logical move. From what I gather, Revice's First Quarter did about the same as Saber in terms of Sales. Keeping in mind that Saber had one belt + four weapons that doubled as transformation items, whereas Revice had two belts (I am not sure if belts for Pre-order on Premium Bandai are counted toward Q1 Sales), It seems that it doesn't matter too much how many belts there are in terms of sales (again, it's a bit hard to pinpoint, given that they never show what items were most popular).

It makes a lot of sense in these times, that they make a way to downsize the amount of belts, while keeping each Rider "Unique" in regards to their belt. While the rumors are still yet to be confirmed, the idea that the belt is customizable to each rider makes a bit more sense than releasing a belt per one or two riders. Again, I am not sure what the details of past sales are, but given that Bandai seems to be trying new ideas each year when it comes to the belts, I don't find the idea of a belt that can be customized per rider too crazy.

Should be less than a week, at most. Revice's conference was announced 5 days in advance, Saber's 2 days in advance, cant find when 01's was announced but most likely around the same 2-5 day span. If we're getting the conference before the Ganbarizing reveal they'd have to announce it today/tomorrow at the earliest for the 5-day gap. (Revice posted their announcement for it at 1AM EST, so keep that in mind)

Edit: If not today/tommorow, the recent rumors estimate the conference to be 27th, which would at the earliest be announced when BF drops(22nd), which feels a smidge bit unlikely? Maybe an announcement on the 24th, but still.....

I will say the rumoured belt system is actually very close to what I've wanted them to do for years, which is a singular modular belt for every rider.

From a toy perspective it seems like with saber vs revice having more q1 toys didn't equal more total sales for saber, which also means from a manufacturer perspective saber likely made less money per transformation device than revice did in their respective first quarters

I'd also assume that with a modular belt system they will charge A LOT for the "starter set" for each rider, a set with like a face plate and one gimmick item I bet they'd be willing to sell for like 30-50ish bucks tbh

It also sort of creates a sunk cost effect where if you already bought the really expensive base belt, you might as well get the relatively cheaper packs for each rider to "get your money's worth"

Tbh from a sales stand point I think this has the potential to make them a lot of money, but I also think it'll live and die on how good the characters are, since most people aren't gonna buy sets for riders they don't like lol

EDIT: I do still bet we'll get a bunch of p-bandai belts aimed at adult collectors regardless

Saber : PC on July 29, 2020 but no Summer Movie for Zero One this time. The date actually a bit close with Revice.
Zero One : PC on July 17, 2019 and Over Quartzer aired on July 26, 2020. This is the latest instance where we got PC first before the new Rider debut in Summer Movie
Zi-O : PC on Aug 7, 2018 and Be The One aired on Aug 4, 2018. The PC was a bit latter from the Summer Movie.
Build : PC on Aug 1, 2017 and True Ending aired on Aug 7, 2017. This time the PC was earlier than the Summer Movie.

Considering this, I think we can roughly estimate if we don't get any info on Geats this week, it's most likely by next week they will announce the PC. It's most likely they won't reveal any info closer to Battle Familia because it might kill the movie's hype.

Heads up: we've got word of Geats' cameo in Battle Familia!

Similar to how Zero-One's cameo in Over Quartzer mostly involves a post-credits scene where he wipes up the remaining evil Riders, the post-credits of Battle Familia involve Chimera and Geats working together to finish off Azuma and Shikku once and for all. Some details:

And apparently, Geats also shows up in Shin Hatsukoi Hero???? Geats shows off the Revi and Vice Avataro Gears, but the Donbros don't use them. (apparently Geats never even meets them?) If I had to guess, the joke about "Leave the hero work to the Kamen Riders!" from the trailer is more than a joke: Geats will appear and defeat some enemy while the Donbros are busy filming their movie.

So we'll get a shooter rider as the main one? Hmm, and there are more and more similarities with the Wizard. Well, the cameos are cool, but I'm sorry he won't get to meet Revi and Vice. Although, this will probably be saved for the last episode of Revice.

You got 01 and Kuuga being the first riders of their era, Saber and Agito based off of dragons & Revice and Ryuki taking the contract concept where the Ryuki riders make contracts and Revice riders making deals with devils/demons.

Geats is a fox/kitsune while Faiz is a wolf in Orphnoch form. Bet we have some group almost like Smart Brain, even the Orphnochs & their Lucky Clover

Faiz eats food for lunch and sleeps at night, and I bet Geats does the same.

If we're talking dragons, then Saber has way more in common with Ryuki than Agito. Even having an antihero named Ren. There's really no sense in these shallow comparisons!

So far, I see a lot in common with the Wizard. The same number of gimmicks appearing at once, the use of a gun in the main form and the theme of fire. Well, the last two, according to the cameo description.

Speaking of which, will we ever get a cyborg main rider again, or is this concept hopelessly outdated? Of course, the opportunity to make it on the 50th anniversary of the franchise is missed, but there will be many more important dates and anniversaries.

Basically, with the advent of advanced medical technology and people who had to undergo surgery an obtain artificial limbs/organs to live, Toei decided to softly retire the idea of portraying people getting these artificial parts as the tragic "loss of their humanity" element in Kamen Rider stories.

They wouldn't drop the idea entirely as Blade, OOO, and Gaim all incorporated the idea of slowly becoming a Undead, Greed, or Invess. But things like saying a person's cyborg arm or leg tragically made them no longer a human? Yeah, that had to go.

I understand. But then there is another option: the android protagonist. Something like 01 but with humagear as the main character. At the same time, you can once again remind about Kikaider.
By the way, it turns out that the most inhuman rider (we don?t take Vice into account, he can?t become a human) of our time is the Ghost. Unlike the others who had the transformation at the end of their shows, Takeru is not human for most of his series and reflects on this.

I think making the protagonist an android from the outset wouldn't work as well since you can't exactly have Rider's "loss of humanity" theme if you weren't human to begin with. Now if they want to bring back Kikaida again and tackle that concept there I'd be down.

Yes, in this scenario, the hero will actually have to become a human or simply find his place in the world. Not exactly typical for a franchise, but it's always fun to try something new.

Well, I feel like since we had Zero-One so recently, I don't imagine they'd tackle AI and androids this soon after or have it play a prominent part of the series' theme... or at least I'd assume so. I certainly wouldn't mind a modern Kikaider series either, though. Just without bringing a Rider season to a screeching halt to promote it, preferably.

I like how the mask isn't flat, that's fun! Correlates with a few of the other rumors (aesthetic being ZECT/AIMS-like, incorporates the stylized "A" into the mask, etc) while also seemingly missing a few details (the scarf we keep hearing about). I am a bit wary on how bulky that chest piece/shoulders are, but since they're supposed to be a gunslinger, maybe it'll somehow work out?

This is the image. I am really not sure how to feel about the leak (The design looks really cool), but I recall somewhere another leaker said the above image was a form change and not the base suit (that could always be wrong, but I thought this came out about the same time as the foot soldier photo).

At the same time, the loss of humanity theme with androids was something the series deliberately chose to shift away from due to medical advances like pacemakers and stuff so I wonder if they'll do that
