Getting back to the guys in jackets and cool masks, I think there might be a Black RX situation here. Where there were regular foot soldiers chaps, as well as three stronger fighters dressed as shinigami. |

Let's hope Sachika has something to offer in the season. Quote:

I'm betting the alien/Granute part of him would slowly try to take him over. The Lango guy could try to force the Granute part of Shoma to start feeding on humans to prove his POV and return to their side. |
I think that it’s good we’re getting a string of more showa-style Kamen Rider series. Getting a writer who is mostly good at lighter, comedy stuff (zyuohger has good drama moments fight me) shows they're probably going for something like that.
Like I know that people over here like the super edgy rider series and the ones with experimental storytelling, but these are still shows aimed at children, and we had a string of rider series with very complex plots that varied in actual quality. Even if the toys did well, it’s not hard to see why something like Geats could alienate that audience. Basically I’m fine if this is a series that’s not plot heavy and is mostly about fighting monsters and has good comedy and characters, like Gotchard, I’m fine with that. I don’t have a problem with more Gotchard style shows. Well I hope they turn down the “new power every other episode” thing, but that’s less a Gotchard problem and more a problem with the series since like, Ghost. |

The side characters introduced in the announcement video (Hanto Karakida/KR Valen and Sachika Amane) have names that refer to types of taste in Japanese language, such as karai (spicy) in Karakida and amai (sweet) in Amane, although spicy being a type of taste is quite misleading since spiciness is a hot/burning sensation/pain, not taste. There could be other side characters with similar naming convention, so there could be those whose names include the whole or part of the words suppai (sour), shoppai (salty), nigai (bitter), etc. Usui (weak/bland) could also appear since that's an actual surname, haha.
If Gochizous are created by Shouma as the metabolic result of his digestion system, then doesn't it mean that Gochizous are basically his excrement/faeces? Haha. I think perhaps Gochizous are his energy storage, similar to how a human's body stores energy in fatty tissues. The trailer also showed him eating proper/heavy meal from a bento box, so does it mean that he'll also create Gochizous based on proper/heavy meals, not just candies/snacks? I've just realized that the Stomach leader transformed into his kaijin form with a completely different trinket. His trinket looked and worked quite like the Museum's Dopant Memories, although it could be just a slimmer, gimmick-less version of RG's. Shouma is very likely a missing (or disowned) member of the Stomach family, or he could be someone closely connected to a top member of the organization. He could be the child of one of Stomach's top researchers, and the Henshin Belt Gavv was an experimental tool secretly developed by his parents. Quote:
And unrealistic expectation? What's so unrealistic about me expecting Urobuchi's return? Toei already hired him in 2013, so what's so unrealistic about them hiring him again in 2024? Toei could hire Yasuko Kobayashi (another high profile writer) three times, so why can't Toei hire Urobuchi for the second tenure? There's nothing unrealistic about rehiring Urobuchi. It's not that I expected Toei to hire Christopher Nolan or J.R.R. Tolkien. Now that would be unrealistic (and impossible), haha. If I remember correctly, the last time (and perhaps also the only time) that the announcement of the writer generated more buzz and hype than the show itself was when Toei announced Urobuchi as Gaim's writer at the press conference 2013. Secrecy always creates curiosity and hype. People always expect a secret information to be a highly valuable information. That's the nature of information, secrecy, and human's curiosity since the dawn of humanity. If I use a secretive marketing tactic with the aim of creating hype, then of course people will expect that the information that I'm protecting is a highly valuable one. If I reveal that that information is actually a low value one, then of course people will laugh at me. This is why I said in my last post here that this reveal is so underwhelming. I had even hinted at the possibility of creating disappointment if Toei dropped the ball in my first post about KR Gavv's secretive marketing tactic here. This undeserved hype will only create an unnecessary pressure on Junko Kojima. She'll be reeeeeeally pressured to perform extremely well in order to make all this hype is worth it. She'll be reeeeeeally pressured to exceed the very very very high bar set by Urobuchi. It's fine if she eventually performs at least as good as Urobuchi's performance in KR Gaim. But what if she fails to at least reach Urobuchi's very very very high standard of quality? Well, if she fails then her writing in KR Gavv will likely be remembered by the KR fandom for being an overhyped yet underperforming product. My disappointment is mild, compared to the disappointment shown by my friends and several people in the Japanese toku forums who are low-key mocking this secretive marketing tactic and labelling it as a mere cheap, lazy marketing stunt/gimmick. TLDR: Creating an undeserved hype is a very very very risky and dangerous marketing tactic that can backfire if I fail to deliver an exceptional, amazingly well-performing product. |
You know for a mild disappointment that sure is a lot of words trying to justify it.
Also like, is there any actual pressure being put on her? Or is that all just you saying this to say this? Like you are just claiming about these negative reactions to this "marketing tactic". Because I haven't really heard anyone talk about how this "marketing tactic" was bad except for you. They just didn't reveal the writer until later, it's odd, but so is Gavv's rollout of news compared to every other Rider prior. Not to mention just production in general due to us being 20 episodes filmed already at this point in time due to them wanting to do a Chinese release. |
You know for someone who writes a shit load and tries so much, when you are proven wrong you begin to write like you have no clue what you saying
Zolda maybe its best to just shut your god damn mouth There is no pressure, if she has been writing the eps, that means she doesn't need to deal with Toei being reactionry Toei is a very reactionary company when it comes to their series so allowing the head writer to write their 20 eps before filming is more lax then anything IF these 20 eps prove to be insanely good, then maybe Toei will allow the writers to cook more then having them write the plot so close to the deadline and keep their noses out of the writing |

you got no clue how Junko Komura is and you want to assume she is under pressure, rather its most likely the complete opposite She was given time since most likely Feb to work on Gavv story meaning Toei was hands off So she isn't under pressure to be like Gaim's writer or anything so don't go off and think you know |

I don't belittle Junko Komura. I'm just stating a fact about something that entails a hype. I do hope she stands well under pressure and will be able to do her job well. |

I still think that these 20 episodes are mentioned for a reason. There may be plans to change the writer halfway through the show. Or the show, in principle, only has a plot for first 20 episodes, and nothing further has been invented yet. Or maybe Komura was simply told to prepare a full-fledged scenario in advance in case of her pregnancy.
|
She’s 48. Hardly likely to be pregnant.

This reads like a conspiracy theory in all the wrong ways.
|
Yeah speculating on a writer's potential pregnancy, or putting forwards the idea that this must be some contingency plan in case she gets pregnant is getting into weird and uncomfortable territory.
|
It'll be neat to have a female head writer again since that's kind of been Yasuko Kobayashi's thing (and she hasn't done a Rider show since OOO outside Amazons).
|
The show's not out yet and Valen's suit is already one of my new favorite secondary rider suits. And it has me craving chocolate every time I see it. I should get myself a chocolate bar. :lolol

Gotta agree this speculation has gone off the rails. Toei does seem to be handling things a bit differently, but I really doubt it has anything to do with the specific writer, especially given she's worked on Sentai before.
Personally I wonder if they are just trying to plan things in advance more carefully after getting blowback for the haphazard pacing of several recent Rider shows. |

Aside from that, I think it's gonna be interesting to see how having such an advanced filming/writing schedule like this will affect Gavv. I think one of the more interesting things that I haven't seen anyone comment is the fact that with this change, that there's less likely gonna be chances for the writing to shift based on a character's/Rider's sudden popularity. Which could be a great thing because it means the story's much more steady, or unfortunate because we might not get a situation like Kaito Kumon getting a Genesis Driver and Lemon Energy Arms because of his popularity. |
This brings up an interesting possibility though. With us being this far ahead now and depending on what they do for the Winter Movie... we might have a more solid grasp on the Gavv elements if they're aware of what's going to be going down by the early teens.
|
I wonder if they'll be able to maintain this kind of production speed moving forward?
|
Like many people online have said already, it seems in all likelihood that the early production is simply bc if they want the show to simul-release in China, the episodes need to be done way in advance, bc government agencies in China need to okay all officially released media before it goes out. This seems like the most simple and believable reason, and it seems it would be true regardless of who wrote the show. It seems extremely unlikely the change in pace has anything to do with the writer selected, at all.
I am curious to see how this change will affect the show tho, certainly it'll force them to stick to their guns more. For example, if a character cements themselves as a fan favourite in episode 24, then dies in episode 32... Well they can't just write them back in due to audience reaction bc the show will be done filming lol |

I can't find anything anywhere yet to confirm, but looking at the kaijin designs, anyone else think that Niθ is this year's creature designer?
It would not be surprising, since this is a Takebe-san show, and they also worked together on Gaim 10 years ago. |
The toy sounds are already getting figured out by guys like cranejoe, only new form I heard about was Amazing Gummy
|
Gavv has been appointed an honorary member of the Japan Gummy Association. :lolol

Are these Granutes animal-based?

The first episode is out, and we learn that Gavv is half Granute.
With that, do you think his Rider form is also his Granute form given as the mouth parts for the monsters are also called Gavv’s? |
Wonder how many riders will be in this season?

And I hate to see him hide his identity from everyone forever. |
Shintaro Asanuma who voiced Zenkai Zyuran in Zenkaiger and recently Dragonalos in Gotchard will play the role of a new character named Kenzo Suga.
