http://i.imgur.com/iS6wHMm.gif Of course Bandai would choose to localize a Gundam game on a dead system... It's not like they didn't just announce one for the PS4. |

Anime games still get physical releases here in the US like Sword Art Online Lost Song, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, J-Stars Victory Vs+ and Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax. Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force could get a physical release over in the west.

And I think the last DWG game being digital only in the West says it all about Vs Force's likelihood of a physical release. |

About the dead system thing... yeah it is. But at the same time though, I've heard that for a lot of these super niche anime games, the PS4 and Vita sales numbers are near the same. It's not like the PS4 version is gonna sell 10 times as much as a Vita version. Again, just what I've heard. Plus, I think if we could get Greg Miller and Colin Moriarty, two former IGN guys who have a Vita loving audience, to talk about the game a fair bit and give it a bump, the game is not completely doomed. |
I would love it if they make a Gundam fighting game similar to the PS1 games again. I had fun renting those from Blockbuster as a kid.

So people are bombarding the shit out of Extreme VS Force reviews on Amazon Japan and giving the game a ton of 1 star reviews. The game came out today or yesterday so that's why. But I think I'm still unsure if that's due to it being a legitimately bad game, or people just sending the game's rating to hell due to it not being a proper EX Vs game.
If they just fucking announced Maxi Boost on PS4 already, none of this shit would be happening. Bandai wouldn't look like greedy Japan-centric idiots and the angst over Force getting a western release would lessen. |
Haven't yet started on the long range booster yet but I have gone through the box and I'd thought I should mention this to anyone thinking about getting into the IBO line but haven't gotten the main gundam yet.... get this set and not the Gundam on it's own. The long range booster comes with the whole 1/144 Barbatos kit and the things you can do with the booster are really really cool. Think I'll keep mine linked with the Graze custom (I think its the best configuration out of all of them). The best thing to compare the booster too is the GN-Arms from Gundam OO with a nod to Gundam Seed's meteor.

Also the game is kinda meh, it's really nothing to get this worked up over... |

Besides, most Gundam games can be played with little to no knowledge of the Japanese language, so I don't see what's stopping people here from just importing them when it comes out in Japan... |

I just watched a bunch of IBO episodes in a row since I forgot watching them in the last 3 weeks.
I did not expect the pilot of the Gusion to be this enourmous muscly blond dude who also has his kids use Auto-Vijana. Or for the grunt suits to be Gusion derivatives. It was interesting to see Akihiro's subplot and him moving up from a background character. Same with the one kid who has the sister who looks exactly like him. So McGillis is plotting for a change in Gjallerhorn, and plans to use Tekkadan for his own ends. Interesting. Can't wait to see more McGillis vs Tekkadan action as a result and see if they will let him in. Also, se get to see the whole weird aristocracy Gjallerhorn has going on and the young girl that I presume McGillis is gonna get married to. Yuck. I can't beleive whoever comissioned this marriage didn't see anything wrong with it. She's so cute and innocent, what the fuck. Honestly, with the pace the story is going, I kind of think we are gonna get a season 2 of IBO. The story is moving at a medium pace, and we're halfway through the show and nowhere near close to Earth. |
Man I really wish we were getting that Gundam game on more than just Vita.

Recently built the RG Red Frame and love it!

First episode of Thunderbolt is up on GundamInfo! It seems to cover the first 2 or 3 chapters of the manga faithfully.

Although I didn't expect it to have such a quick pace. I read the manga kinda fast but this is going near the same pace I was reading it lol. I hope they slow down the story a bit more when we get to more of the character development chapters/bits. I just hope this quick pacing at the beginning is just to draw people in for the rest of the series. I am kinda disappointed with the youtube video that Gundam Info gave us. Hearing it was the first Gundam show to be animated in 4K made me excited since I have a 4K laptop, but the youtube version only gives us a lousy 720p. I hope Bandai restocks the HGs, since I looked up the FA-78 on amazon and it is out of stock and super expensive now (like $60). |

Also, the next episode comes out in Feburary. |
Guys, hold your seats. The Gundam Unicorn novel series the OVAs originates from is getting an 11th installment early next year out of nowhere. After the novels ended around 2009, 2010, there's suddenly going to be a new volume.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...ly-2016/.96920 My main concern is that will an episode 8 for Unicorn be made due to this if this has any relevant story content. I mean, Episode 7 just left us hanging with that battle with the one ship. Maybe we can get an in series explanation of Full Frontal without having to look it up in the books/online? |
Current State of my booster:
http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...226_002517.jpg Next to is my first Barbatos (I'm not build the included one) for size comparison. Also thought I'd point this out: http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...226_002534.jpg As you can see these are soild one piece versions of Barbatos's canon, so if you want functional moving canons you'll have to buy another op1 set which..... doesn't seem... that bad of an idea..... |

Still, that's very interesting. |

Also, how do the Unicorn novels end? |

Gundam Extreme VS' primary market is Japan. The way the series primarily works is that there is an Arcade game that is one version ahead of what is released on consoles (Ex: PS3 with Full boost now and Arcades with Maxi Boost). That's all well and good since Japan still has a lot of money coming in from arcades, and the developers try to please both the console and arcade players with exclusive suits/features, e.t.c. And they usually try to release the next iteration on console after the arcade version has upgraded to their next version, so there isn't an arcade drought like what happened when Full Boost PS3 came out before Maxi Boost Arcade. But they usually announce the console version is coming in the later half of the year before it comes out. The problem is that there is no announcement for Maxi Boost on PS4 because this Vita game is in the way taking up the air. Or even if we know the game exists. I think Bandai is afraid of saying anything about an VS game on console next as it would take away from Force's sales. And if they announced Force localization alongside Maxi Boost PS4 announcement/localization, Force would have suffered. Why would anyone in the west want the Single Player Vita spin-off if they knew in the coming months the real VS game would come out? |
Well, now that was an episode.
It worked really well for an emotional episode, never too dramatic but always full of heart. Smooth Mika. Quote:
Granted, second sources and all that, so do take it with a grain of salt. |

Also is interesting that despite finding an interest with Kudelia, I think Atra would be okay with this, after learning about the whole polygamy thing. If both Kudelia and Atra are down with this, Mika is gonna be fucking happy as hell by the end of the show, both literally and figuratively. Quote:

So in the future We've stopped having funerals? Or is this another one of those "we're human debris, we don't matter" kind of things? Because the second idea makes sense, though I don't see how Mars can't have had a single funeral that the boys could have heard of.
Also, this is the most forward romantic Gundam I've seen, let alone Shounen anime. Did not expect that from Mika, nor the random make-out session during that meeting. |

And yeah, that make out scene was the most random thing I have seen in this show so far. Naze essentially saying "Well, someone died, let's fuck to make a new kid to replace him" just was out of place. Made sense for his character and the role of the scene but just... ew.... Quote:
She just wants to see if that Alya-Vijana system enhances performance in areas outside of mobile suit combat. :D ;) |
