I feel like Dragon Ball will probably be like how Kamen Rider was after Shotaro Ishinomori died. Toei will milk it and we still get good content, but still won't feel the same.

Well put. Unfortunately, when it comes to milking an IP, it's not just Japan that is at fault to be brutally honest.

Side note, I remember Furuhara-san (Go-On Red) being a Dragonball fan so...as a fellow Tokusatsu fan and a fellow Otaku...I also share his pain and sympathize with all Dragonball fans around the world. RIP Toriyama-san.

It definitely seems to be the likely scenario at this point. Not that it's bad or good, but it's pretty much going the way of Doraemon and Anpanman from the way I see it, which, both have merch made by Bandai Namco if i recall.

I'm a big fan of Toriyama's monster designs for the Dragon Quest series, I can't imagine it without him. Lost a real one.
