Well I watched Legend of Korra books 2-4 over this weekend and dang were they good. I'm glad that I decided to finish this show, I really enjoyed it.

Is Korra really as good as people say? I dropped it after Book 1, but after seeing so much hype for Korra, even after it's ending, it's peeked my interest and has made me finish the series.

There are parts that are loved, parts that are hated. Season 3 brought back people's supreme love for the show, while Season 2 almost lost people.

It's a story, there's good and bad parts to it. Give it another try if you desire so.

Also Korra classed as a cartoon so if we are talking Korra there an avatar thread and there a western animation thread as well. For cartoon inspired by anime like avatar and Korra

The main writers for the shows are from the West, and its English language first, not a dub of something that was originally Japanese.

Yea writers said its a cartoon inspired by anime style and full on anime. Its like I could if I wanted to called thunder cags 2011 anime due to its art style they used was anime. .

Food wars: I love how ridiculously awesome it takes this concept of super dramatic cooking.

Yamada and the seven witches: I enjoyed this and for some reason the character designs remind me of fairy tail characters.

Punch Line is absolutely ridiculous and I love it.

Plastic memories also had a good first episode and that was the series I had watched through the first episodes of to get a bit of a taste of this season.

Yea if food wars follows the manga it will get crazier. Also ETOTAMA not for everyone well I enjoyed. I never judge show from one ep but concept was good I liked it.

Makes sense not to judge things from the just the first episode but the first episode really did not do a job in drawing me at all although the Chibi CGI battles were good.

Can I just honestly say that my god, the Thriller Bark arc is ****ing boring as hell? I absolutely loved this arc in the manga and it is one of my favorites, but in anime form, it is so... damn... slow... moving... to... the... point... of... boredom.

Oh god when I was watching arc sub I was like am I watching filler or cud they drag it out caused it felt like one of shortest arc in the manga. I don't know I haven't read that part of manga but I read manga heD of time of current arc of and dress rosa coming to end.

Started watching the 2014 remake of rozen maiden, I enjoyed first episode it had nice start interesting story behind preview of ep two boom time skip and I was lost from preview alone.

Watching Aldnoah.Zero season 1&2 right now. I just don't see these problems people were complaining about. Maybe it's just me and I can't see the problems but I'm really enjoying it.

I just wanted to say... Gintama's new opening "Day x Day" is just so amazing! I love how carefree it sounds!

I am so excited to see Gintama back. My body is ready for everything this new season has to offer. :D

Gintama is the anime of the year EVERY year.

It's more of a slice of life show where mechs are part of the premise than a show centered about the mechs, so that part might not be for everyone.

I remember the first time I watched Gintama... it bored me to death. :lol
But as I progressed gradually, the series just got so damn epic! And the Yoshiwara in Flames arc! One of my favorite arcs in Gintama.

Finished all of Aldnoah.Zero today. I don't see why people were complaining about it. I for one, enjoyed it very much. Next up, D-Frag dubbed!

The ending was lackluster in comparison to the whole show. What happened to the Harklight and Yo-Yo guy at the end? If they died then show it, but if not give us a clear idea what happened to them. Why the hell did the writers make Asseylum marry Cruhteo Jr. after he's only been introduced 3 episodes before. Why should we care who this person is? I don't ship anymore (haven't since the early 2000's), but that was some sudden bullshit to pull. Rayet and the others just kind of survived, but no real fanfare or acknowledgement of what they're doing, the humans just somehow start getting along with the Vers because "it's the end", and Lemrina is just forgotten on ship headed back to Mars, no resolution for her either. It just kind of ended, and no matter how nice the final fight between Inaho and Slaine was, it doesn't make up for that last episode. For me, anyway.

You really didn't have any issue with Inaho being an infallible god?

I need to watch all of Rahxephon someday.

Lost his friend, lost an eye, couldn't beat rocket-punch lady without Slaine, nearly ruined his brain linking up all the mechs to take out temporal clone guy, apparently can really only handle one Vers' knight at a time as three on one got him the closest he gets to flustered, and he never got to properly finish Saazbaum either time he faced him, and the last time the knight could have easily rallied and killed him if not for Inko and Slaine.

He's good, but infallible? Bit of stretch. Just because he's not Shounen protag stupid doesn't immediately push him over into Stephen Hawking Infinity+ level intelligence.

RahXephon does Evangelion better than Evangelion. The characters are actually likable and the twists and turns the show takes make sense. Oh, and it had an ending, sort of. It does go for the reset button ending though.

And I'm reaching the last leg of yu-gi-oh 5Ds English subtitles.i am enjoying yugioh anime alot more subbed with the unedited cards a.d started to be more annoyed by it. I came to a theory for arc-v and that it the new future the yusei and co created after defeating Z-one. Inaho being perceived as the epitome of the emotionless genius archetype is the longest standing criticism of the show since the first episode and it is a perfectly valid one. And a very often repeated one. So I see no problem with asking for an opinion on why somebody doesn't see it as an issue, but there's no need to get defensive over it for whatever reason.

Well in Eva's defense it was largely the result of creator breakdown though I do like Rahxephon for basically being*unintentionally* Eva's light side counterpart.

I mean even the main bots are thematically opposed.*Rah's an angel and Eva 01's a demon*

So i just picked out a random episode of Fairy Tail that's like some kind of Haloween special... After watching it i was left thinking to myself. "...What the hell was that!?"

You asked why someone didn't have an issue with your perceived (and yes, half if not most of the internet's shared) view of Inaho being never wrong, untouchable, and ever successful. I just felt the need to point out multiple times throughout that he was anything but.

Let me just make it clear I'm not "defending" Inaho, as he's nowhere near the list of my favorite characters in fiction. Having said that, I did find him entertaining simply because most mecha show protagonists I've watched are either emotional young men, Coop, or other stereotypes usually assigned to Shounen main characters. Having someone who doesn't have an earth-shattering Gundam or mech from the future, but instead is fighting people with such weapons with only his brain (exaggerated as it might get, even before the Odin implant) was refreshing.

Also I've bumped into way too many a Batman fanboy who go on and on about how the Bat can beat anyone with prep time, so my standards for "infallible god" include "insufferable fanbase and grand exaggeration".

It took Inaho an entire season to upgrade his mech to match Slaine's bullshit precognition-bot, and for all his intelligence he still failed to keep the princess from being shot, and he was needlessly a dick to Slaine during their team-up.

I don't have a problem with you asking a losondro about his opinion on Inaho; I just added my two cents in. I've seen worse characters than him, so he just doesn't qualify as "infallible" to me.

When I am bored I watch random episodes of Dragon Ball from the old days and sometimes Gintama from a few years ago.
