Now that I'm off school for a month and a half, I'm watching the following...
Moomins Aikatsu Go! Princess Precure Fushigi Mahou Fun Fun Pharmacy Goldfish Warning Jewelpet Magical Change Jewelpet Happiness Sailor Moon Crystal Wish Upon The Pleiades |
FINALLY got around to watching The Idolm@ster movie after months of having it on my computer and no time to watch it. Absolutely loved it, so good seeing all of the cast again. Even though its a franchise about idols it always manages to surprise me how serious it can get at times too - with the series it was all the stuff with Chihaya, and then here they went and gave one of the characters an eating disorder (albeit somewhat trivialised).
KNEW they'd slam in a Cinderella Girls cameo too. I was waiting for it all the way through and then it showed up right at the end :lol |

I'm been slow watching through the original seasons and I been watching dub of g every Saturday on the YouTube
|
Rewatched Urotsukidōji last night and it's still a fun movie. The large amount of sex and violence can turn people off but it's rather tame compare to most stuff today. I never seen the sequels past the second mvoie since I have a hard time tracking them down.

I've wanted to check out Gundam for the past few months but at the end of the day I'm always repelled by it. It just gives off this constant, dreary vibe that nothing fun, cool or exciting can happen because "War Is Hell" & things like that. And that's a fine idea to base a few stories around but an entire franchise? Really? That's why I steer clear of NGE; the few small moments of hope in the series are viciously ripped away from the characters (& by extension, you) because reasons. Drama is needed for stories but there has to be a good balance between light & dark, happy & sad, etc.. Plus people keep recommending Gurren Lagann to me instead but every time I try it just feels too over-the-top. But what do you guys think? Am I just complaining about something I've never seen? Does Gundam have more good to offer a viewer than bad? Will the crazy continuity make it easy or hard to find a good jumping-on point? Should this franchise be given a chance by people? What are your thoughts & feelings about Gundam? Thanks in advanced!

The Origin 0079 08th MS Team 0080 0083 Zeta ZZ Char's Counterattack Victory F91 Unicorn And other than that, everything is standalone. There are a couple sequels, but they share part of their name with their predecessor (SEED Destiny, Build Fighters Try), so they're easy to identify. |
Huh... Never knew Victory was part of that continuity..... Also didn't Amuro just went AWOL during the whole Zeta shows?

Hm, interesting stuff. And just to be clear, I don't only like light-hearted things. Dark stuff could be cool, I just need both to be present as I can't really enjoy either of those things on their own. They just feel incomplete without the other, you know? Thanks again for the help!

Some times I can't enjoy an anime if I read to much of a manga, it was my problem with Akame Ga Kill I was up to date and still am now, but after watching a bit of the Anime I can't bear to watch it anymore.
It's kinda why I stopped at a certain part of Seraph of the End in the Manga, so I can thoroughly enjoy the anime that's on going with out being a jerk face like I did with Akame Ga Kill anime. |

I saw four episodes of Super Gals and I'm loving it.
It's a cute series but SG doesn't shy away from hard issues like comi-dates, gang violence, scams and just how cruel some people can be. But there is overall a strong sense of justice in the show. Plus the leads are likable and there's some good humor and romance to balance things out. It's a damn good show and I'm glad I'm watching it. |
So on yesterday's episode of Gintama 2015, it centers around porn mags. Literally laughed my ass off the entire episode when Gintoki kept finding porn magazines that Shinpachi owned. :lol
Also, Gintama parodied Assassination Classroom and To Love Ru. Two of my favorite anime/manga ever. My life is complete. :lol |

Just saw Futari Wa Pretty Cure Episodes 1-7. Pretty standard magical kid's anime. Generic plot with generic setting & generic villains. Transformation scenes are instantly skipped for any show I watch that has them (even my beloved Digimon) so that's not an issue. The fights range from meh-to-interesting, though I'm still surprised at how much of a beating these girls can take. While everything seems very cookie-cutter so far I still choose to keep watching it. And that's because of the characters. Nagisa & Honoka are exactly what you'd expect them to be but still make you wanna see how they overcome things in both their normal lives & their battles. Mepple & Mipple are okay at times while being funny at others. The mystery involving their travel to Earth & why they refer to it as a different name despite knowing about it's culture is very intriguing as well. Just shows how important characters are to media. Can't wait to see more later today.

I am still watching Super Gals and yes it really is worthy of its praise.
Finished the two parter about Miyu's past as a gang leader. It handled the subject matter seriously while still allowing room for more light hearted fare, which I enjoyed all around. I wish I could keep watching it tomorrow but my sister's coming over so my computer time's going to be brief since mom's having trouble with her printer still. |
The first Berserk movie: The Egg of the King. Was wondering who the guy the Internet says could beat Nightmare was like. Apparently he sounds like Tohsaka. Not sure if I'm okay with that.

Onegai My Melody

So I added some old anime to my que on crunchyroll they are
Kobato: done by clamp it really good it comedic and animation look great back ground beautiful and stuff dig hilarious kobato well she trying to make people happy. This is from episode one but I will be continuing to watch it. Next up is Momo Kyun Sword: well let's just say it II treating take on the Japanese fairy tail of child born from a giant peach story and it a maid sentai team it for comady. Reason but it was a fun episode one will be watching more. Last but least Our fox Deity: not really wTch episode one yet but the synopsis had me Intrested so I be watching it later |
Just finished Futari Wa Pretty Cure Episodes 8-14. A little more enjoyable than last time. A couple gripes are there of course, like the way the robbery was handled on Honoka's Birthday & Nagisa's emphasis on her crush being a bit much. But they had to do with character moments so they at least make sense in a way. What I really liked about this round of episodes though was the setup for future events. Mipple's reaction to Honoka's grandmother, Kiriya's interest in Honoka, etc.. And the whole Yin-Yang thing Nagisa & Honoka have is predictable, yes, but they handle it in a nice way that hasn't felt forced or annoying. Something else I found cool was that the secrecy of the Pretty Cure identities are already getting harder to hide. Although I don't get how when their faces are always shown, but sometimes faces can he hard to identify from a distance so I'm okay with how it's currently being done. Hoping to catch the next batch of episodes before the weekend's over.

Well, all of Disk Wars is finally subbed.
It wasn't the best Marvel show ever, but it was fun enough, and it definitely fulfilled it's role of introducing as many heroes as possible to japanese kids. Nobody really expected you, most people didn't want you, but I'll miss you DW. |

Oh sweet, been waiting ages for those last few eps.
It's been a pretty decent show overall, perhaps a bit long than it needed to be but it's had some great moments. EDIT: Also meant to post that I've been watching Idolmaster: Xenoglossia to fill the void while Cinderella Girls is off the air. It's weird....very weird. It's like Sunrise decided to just make a really obvious Evangelion ripoff and then throw Idolmaster characters into it in the last minute (Chihaya even LOOKS like Misato). Half of them are completely out of character too which makes it even weirder. Iori doesn't really seem to have changed at all though :lol So far it isn't a great show, but it's kinda cool to watch with the mindset that it's one of the various movies they produced in the game-accurate show. |
So the past weekend I decided to finaly watch magical girl lyrical nanoha strikers
I can say it not my fave but it did feel like nanoha in the later half of the season. I really enjoyed. Vivid is also starting to be fun and it's nice to see the adaption of the manga done right. Kobato anime by CLAMP is also very funny I dunno if I'm going to continue where it ends with the manga all depends on the anime ending. Recommend this one. |
Dropping Onegai My Melody. (Really? Dressing boys in female cheerleader outfits, complete with pointless panty shots?! Why?!)
I'm thinking about watching Kaiba (No, not the Yu-Gi-Oh character, the Masaaki Yuasa anime). Just finished episodes of Aikatsu and Go! Princess Precure. |
So spend my day so fare watching a 11 min anime based on Sega console main mega drive Saturn and dream cast they performed as girl that to to high school they need 100 medal to graduate. The series is called Hi-sCooool Seha girls. It was really fun ride dream cast must be my fave character it maybe due to she voice by are own gokai yellow M.A.O but this hit nostalgia in the right button. Also for you American genesis get a mention being a American transfer student
