My life's been odd so I'm lagging behind on watching Super Gals. I also should find other animes to watch.

I don't know what the future holds for anime and manga. Right now people are saying it's not going to survive unless there's serious change, which is understandable. But I really want them both to thrive so I can share my love of the artform with my niece when she's old enough.

Been watching Black Butler with the fair lady Lace and I must say it's one hell of a show.

Going to be trying two new anime today since Funimation was nice enough to post them on Youtube for free. I like free, I can afford free.

Honestly I wish I knew.

It could be a comedy, a parody, perhaps it's a dramedy pretending to be a lighter show. It's a show that seems beyond simple description but at least it doesn't seem as balls to the wall crazy as Yuri Kuma Arashi.

It's the story of a guy called Bell, who lives in a setting where exploring dungeons is a totally valid way to make a living, as part of this he has a pact with a deity called Hestia, who is totally into him, not like she's the only girl into him.
However he is infatuted with a legendary swordwoman.

That's more or less what I grasp.
Hestia seems to be the main reason for it being popular.

You know what i both love and hate in an anime? When the movie it has is canon, i love it because it's like "Well that really cool event happened in these characters lives." but i don't like it when i can't find said movie anywhere and they begin to reference it in the show and it leaves me completely confused.

Well I watched 12 episodes of Sword Art Online and man were they awesome. Still have the rest to go and SAO 2. Haven't seen an anime since January with AOT.

You're still in the good half. What ever you do, don't continue after that arc ends.

So during the weekend I watched the anime koiehime muso. It was really enjoyable anime. It has fan service but jokes and stuff about other thing. It full.girl focus anime. I'll type more bout it once I am on my iPad

Oh, that half is far from good. It had it's enjoyable moments (and the animation is very high quality, that part is great), but I wouldn't call it good.

Meh, I didn't like SAO as a whole. It had a good concept, but it was all bogged down by nonsensical plot writing and unnecessary fan service and boob fondling.

I did watch Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal last week, and it was surprisingly good! It might even go on my top favorite anime of all time, and this is coming from a person who's never seen the 90 episode anime nor read the manga!

Well, I watched episodes 13 & 14. Man WTF. The show had so much more they could have done with the whole 100 floors story line, but nope, they had to finish it right then and there. It sort of ruined the whole story for me. Then I watched episode 15 and I didn't finish it. I know that there might be those who like seeing the characters go through something, but here in this show, most of it is just forced, I guess.

The whole romance felt like it was put there, the time jumps and deaths didn't do anything for me. Now what it did great was the whole animation thing and concept, I just wish it would have been taken somewhere.

Now the second half of it, I don't know if I'll continue or what, but right now I could easily just read up somewhere what happens to the girl. I guess I set up my expectations too high for anime after watching Attack on Titan this January.

Haven't seen it but from what I've heard SAO sounds a lot like a poor man's .//hack.

Can anyone who's seen it verify this for me?

Vanguard G episode 30.

The character fighting in this episode, just... UGH. She's "that" kind of character, you know the kind, the one that's such a big jerk that it makes your blood boil just by they're meer presence? Yeah that kind of character. I look forward to the episode where our heroes finally take her down.

also toei anime did a funimation but with one piece they recently relased a HD specila edtion set of the older episode that where done in 4:3 formate they decided to do a 16:9 version like DBZ they cropped image istade etaining the oginal image.

Episode 3 almost killed me.

Is aldnoah zero any good? I've been looking for another mecha anime to get into, and I wanted to continue Eureka 7, but it's behind hulu's paywall.

Hulu is well worth the price for the amount of content on it.

*sigh* Looks like the pacing fears for Yamada-kun were true. I thought after Nene got two episodes to her, that it as on track to really show a good amount. But the last two episodes have condensed 8+ chapters each into single episodes. So that's one witch per episode. I was kind of okay with it last week because it was the most boring witch, but this week rushed all of Sarushima and Tsubaki's introductions and it really felt like things were moving too quickly. If the next episode tries to shove Noa's entire arc into a single episode too... Well, I guess I shouldn't be so disappointed since it's what we guessed would happen anyways.

Eureka 7 episode 18

After taking a long break due to Eureka 7 going behind a paywall, I picked back up on Netflix.

The slow pace is still there, but the self-contained story or this episode is nice, although not very deep or hints at much. I think Mr. Brittany is an asshole though, stealing the Neirvash for no reason why he had tens of LFOs hanging out in that cave.

Episode 19

I seriously forget how up and random all the shit I've seen in this show is. Like the freaky house. Or this episode with Eureka getting covered in this splooge like substance and wanting to get out. How did she know to get there, and why did she think it was k?

I could not get in to Yamada kun and the seven witch anime it might be due to I enjoy the manga to much heck read all 159 chapter that out there cause no other free site has passed 139 but as though chapter online apart from crunchyroll that realises ot weekly

Episode 20

This episode was pretty standard and continued to do so up until the end. I have a feeling that the type Zero having a bunch of blood on it is foreshadowing to the nth degree. And Renton went fucking nuts, along with the trippy visions as of this fight. So maybe Renton breaks down in circumstances outside of the "Rider's high"?

Episode 21

Damn, Renton sure is a dumbass "I was killing people this whole time and fighting in a war?" NO FUCKING SHIT. And he violated a general rule for everyone regarding seeing Eureka, despite not being made to spite him. And don't even get me started on how brash Holland is about this

Damn Renton your against is through the roof.

Episode 22

I swear that one LFO the guy pilots loos like the Vayeate from Gundam Wing.

It is nice to meet a new set of characters and fleshing them out, rather then spending times on ones we already know and not developing them at all. Although i wonder if the reason why Renton gets such compliments on the new ship is because he added so much to the crew and didn't take much away, whereas on the Gekko, he might have taken more away by just being there and needing to be fed.

Episode 23

Jesus Christ I want to slam my head due to how stupid Renton has acted in this episode.

I get it, he's an adolescent, he's immature, yadda yadda. But for all the shit Renton has been proclaiming about human life and shit, he's not doing any better by TAKING A SICK GIRL AWAY FROM WHERE SHE WANTS TO GO, POTENTIALLY GETTING HER KILLED FROM OUTSIDE VIOLENCE OR DISEASE.

I also didn't remember there was some racist undertones in this show with the Voderaks un til this episode, but the terrorism angle is new to me in this show.

Saw Gargantia on Netflix so decided to start that. Now that network shows I watch are done for a few months, gotta find something to watch on weeknights heh. Why not fill the void clearing the anime backlog again?
