Ok, since I've jumped late on to the Sengoku driver bandwagon, I need to play catch up on learning which lock seeds to buy. Am I correct in my understanding that only the DX seeds have sounds, lights, and springs (to be properly 'cut')? The gashapon have only sounds (although the LED variants have lights) and the candy versions are just cheaper gashapon locks with no LED variants?

Yes, yes, and yes.

Also candy is opaque plastic while gash is translucent.

Oh and an important distinction to make is that gash/candy sounds are activated only by the button and not opening the lock like DX. Though, they can be modded to do so.

Thanks muchly! I appreciate the clarification on the sounds, too. I suppose while the DX versions would be optimal, it'll come down to pricing. Time to see what's available now that I'm more solidly educated.

Been going back and forth on getting a Sengoku Driver for the longest time. I really want one, though I'm not sure how playable it is as the driver itself only makes a few sounds.

I found something weird when I was playing with the Genesis driver core and Sengoku driver. I placed a regular lock seed (In my case, Orange and Banana) in the Genesis core and a lock seed/energy lock seed into the regular slot and the lock seed delayed and said something plus the normal orange/banana arms announcement. I'm wondering if that will be important later.

If you play with the tabs that activate the sounds, you can unlock a few different sounds/colors.
One of them is a green light, and the other is the driver saying Soda in a slighty different way.
