100% completed Digimon Survive. I did my initial playthrough on release but only just recently started on finishing everything. It's a neat game, janky localization though and honestly nothing can compare to my first playthrough of the game, where I did the Wrathful route.

The Japanese language shortens things all the time. It's why we have '-ger' in Super Sentai titles (short for 'ranger').

Hi, y'all are rad. I wish I had something coherant to say atm.

I go by the Japanese name in this case.
I do admit it's cool to be able to see it without cable or a stream service. Only Journeys is online any more so I use DVD to watch previous series episodes. I'm starting the Cartoon Network run after Advanced Battle which was where we lost the 1st cast from WB and they got the 2nd. Watching Journeys gave me a chance to adjust to the current Ash who was in since Battle Frontier. I need time to get used to the other cast swap overs however. |
Still feeling awful. Not doing ok. Had a horrible night. But expecting to get ignored just like last time…

I shipped in the 2018 Tomb Raider relaunch movie which I'll watch it after Cradle Of Life
With movies for numbering I indicate Relaunch when someone restarts the franchise on the big screen. Hobbs And Shaw will be tagged with a 12 as Fast And The Furious 11 finishes the main line. TMNT has been relauched 4 times with the upcoming Bay movie. My numbering depends on when the movie released on the big screen. Seth Rogan is relaunching TMNT for a 3rd time. The CG movie was the first relaunch. |

Well, got my PS4 in yesterday, beat the first island of Frontiers, and I have this to say:
Eat shit, Goku. |
On PS 2 I recently finished 3 of the hardest Tomb Raider levels to date
Tomb Raider VII Legend Bolivia Peru Japan Japan was insane. One of the hardest levels I've played period in any game. Started the Africa level. Talk about nuts out of the gate. |
If anyone has Netflix, there’s a Japanese game show on there called “Run For the Money” and you will probably recognize a couple tokusatsu actors on there.
I saw Kamen Rider Brave, and Kamen Rider Valkyrie. They also have the guy who sings the Don Brothers theme as a contestant. It’s a show about a bunch of celebrities being hunted down by business suit freaks. If a freak catches you, you are out, but if you avoid the freaks, you could win up to 5 million yen. I had a good time watching it. |

I knocked off 10 bucks on Pocket Monsters XIV Black And White. Now that just leaves Adventures In Unova And Adventures In Unova And Beyond to finish up Gen 5. XY is the last generation on Cartoon Network Disney XD ran previous airings of XY.
Sun and Moon was 3 series but that was a short era for the series before moving to Netflix. Hopefully we get Master Journeys and Ultimate Journeys on DVD. Trans Formers 8 and 9 are both locked in by Paramount which is set during Trans Formers Beast Wars. Trans Formers 7 is also part of Beast Wars. It looks like Paramount wants to move forward with the continuity. After Trans Formers 9 any chance of them adapting Trans Formers Prime at some point? Also No Way Home is now the 8th Spider Man movie as the next continues on from No Way Home. I was waiting for confirmation from Sony for placement of No Way Home. |
In a funk cause I remembered something and I don't know if that's a good thing or not!
When Toys-R-Us reached its endgame around 2017-2018, it seemed inevitable cause of online shopping and disreputable business practices. However, there was a time when those of us from the '80s and '90s and '00s viewed Toys-R-Us as the place to go if you had access to one. Many of us, myself included, got a lot of Power Rangers and Transformers from them. In the years since, the brand has tried to revive itself through various means. Cultural relevancy still remains just high enough to have someone wearing a Geoffrey Giraffe costume during the recent Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It's no great surprise that nostalgia is fueling a lot of this so-called "relevancy". However, I re-remembered the feeling I got from an old 2018 op-ed which offered a dissenting take on the demise of the brand (which kind of echoes the themes of the original Child's Play about marketing and capitalism): "Teaching children that happiness comes from shopping was never the best lesson anyway. In fact, researchers*have found*that the commercialization of childhood causes problems including obesity, violence, family stress, sexualization, and early use of drugs and alcohol." Yeah, it's a pretty heavy take! I do think that it's a bit of a broad-brush cause such effects aren't necessarily universal. However, it does give me a lot of pause! I hate the idea that getting a bunch of those aforementioned Power Rangers and Transformers could produce this kind of thing! What do you think? https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/12/opini...ion/index.html |

Well I'm bummed.
I got the dreaded "package delivered" notification from USPS but no package in sight (I checked no alter than 10 minutes after the notification). This was last week so I waited a few days in hopes that it would show up but to no avail. USPS says, if it says delivered, its delivered, but my apartment complex and the surrounded complexes all have problems with packages delivered to the wrong address as well as package thieves. So the package is likely gone now. I hope everyone else had better shopping experiences than me! |

Watching TV and buying stuff is what made me happy as a child, which is not sustainable. As much as I loved my childhood, I do sometimes wonder if it gave me (and everybody else) unrealistic expectations of what life should be, which is part of why everybody seems so depressed. Or are these things the only thing saving our sanity from rising costs, hustle culture, etc. |
I think part of what made Power Rangers stick around was the merch, true, but that doesn't mean it couldn't also tell stories and create characters that stick with people? Like, the original Transfomers was purely made to sell toys to children, but look how the themes of it have stuck around and been reiterated on in such things as the IDW comics, fanart, and the sheer passion fans-turned-creatives have.

A bit hypocritical for a show that survives on merch to teach, sure, but the lesson is no less true. |
My insurance is switching over Medicare and I’m worried that I won’t get my hrt or surgeries. I currently have Medicaid until January, and I'm switching over because my dad. I have insurance that is covered from my Dad's job.

Anybody else just feel awkward after meeting celebrities they like? I've interacted with celebrities I have no strong feelings towards through my job, and that has always gone well...but today I went to a meet and greet event for somebody I really like and even though everything I did was completely normal and acceptable, I still feel weird about it. Like...I wish I said something more interesting, or been more excited, or...something other than just saying hi, taking a pic, saying thanks have a good day, and leaving.

Does anyone know if one can purchase anime digitally? Like, I want to support creators but I'm not a big fan of having hordes of DVDs collecting dust in my room.

Pretty sure you can buy anime from any place that has a digital video store. Probably depends on which anime you are looking to buy. Like, if an anime is produced by Netflix, you probably can’t buy a digital copy.
But if your goal is to support the anime, I bet digital purchases is an incredibly inefficient way to do it. You probably are better off buying merch or something. Another option could be buying the dvd/bluray and donating it to a library or something. I feel like the big money for them is in the blu ray sales, but I am not sure. |
Sentai Daishikkaku (from the Quintessential Quintuplets Creator) is getting an Anime!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siGj9OJ9R8o Actually have enjoyed what little I've read of it, so I'm looking forward to it. |
In the autumn my mother found a cat at her place of work and brought him home. He's young, full of energy, and incredibly stupid. I'm terrified about how he will react to a Christmas tree when he can't even deal with things like... moving shadows.

I stopped having Christmas trees in my house eventually, too much of a hassle with pets around, and there are no kids in my friend circle who still need that bit of Christmas magic. |
I'm watching all the Marvel TV shows while I wait for Doctor Who to start on Disney + as well as Mighty Ducks - Game Changers and all the new Star Wars episodes. I will also be watching MCU Phase 4 on Disney + after Black Widow. The first 3 phases of MCU will be on DVD plus Black Widow.
Two words about your tree with the cat - Scratching post. Watching Doctor Who XXXIX 09 / 10 The Power Of The Doctor Parts 1 And 2 This week on DVD. After this week Power Of The Doctor gets added to my Saturday run. |
I just had a great day with one of my best female friends. I very rarely have a girls day out.

TMNT Update
Thanks to the set shipped in check this out. After I finish Back To The Sewer and Tales Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I might watch all episodes in order starting with TMNT 1987. Its the 35th for the April and the Green Team 4. 03 is a place holder set. This winter is TMNT G II (2003). I had finished the 1987 series recently on DVD. I saw a lot of 2003 on Netflix DVD rentals. DC Movies Update January 2023 Like the MCU movie set DC not to be out done has released a nard load of their movies starting with Super Man 1 from the 1970s. So in January I 'll order this group on DVD and catch any DC movies missed. I have yet to see Joker, Super Girl and Harley Quinn from DC. Also either Suicide Squad movie. For Marvel of that set , Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 2 , Hulk , Black Widow, Thor 1 - 3 Avengers 3 and 4 and Captain Marvel. I saw Captain America, Dr. Strange, Spider Man and Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 1. |
I've started a visual arts diary for fun and decided to make a bunch of Kamen Rider Saber-themed pages. I'm not a big fan of the show (not that I hate the show but it's flaws really stand out a bit) but I love the designs so I decided to make pages based on their aesthetic qualities. Screenshots from streaming services are utter rubbish though so I ended up downloading the whole series (1080p, Blu-Ray quality) onto my computer.
Not sure if the slightly mediocre series is worth the sacrificed 68 GB (really shouldn't complain though, I did do something technically illegal), but at least I'll have some nice high quality screenshots to print out, cut and paste. |
Thanks to the MCU set I shouldn't be too far behind on Marvel movies.
Need to also watch Ghost Rider Ghost Rider 2 X8 - Apocalypse X9 - Logan X10 - Dark Phoenix X11 - The New Mutants Fantastic 4 Fantastic 4 II - Rise Of The Silver Surfer Fantastic 4 III (Relaunch movie) Venom Venom 2 - Let There Be Carnage MCU Phase 4 Ant Man III -: Quantummainia Black Panther II - Wakanda Forever Doctor Strange 2 The Multiverse Of Madness The Eternals Shang Chi And The Legend Of The 10 Rings Owned MCU Movies yet to see Avengers III Avengers IV Black Panther Black Widow Captain Marvel Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 2 Hulk Thor 1 -3 These are shipping in and I own No Way Home. (Watching) DC All movies post Joker due to the disk set I plan to order in January. Including Harley Quinn II and the new Suicide Squad movie that recently came out. Disney + has MCU phase 4. I'll also be watching all the X Men movies in order having gotten X1 and X2 plus The Wolverine. |
|
Started Spider Man 8 No Way Home on DVD.
Now to catch up Trans Formers 1-5 on DVD. First time to see all 5 together. |
