After the ice cream cone hair and giraffe neck of the first game, I'm legitimately surprised.

I've got a feeling Toon Link won't make it back for another game (although a Spirit Tracks level on the 3DS version makes me happy) unless Nintendo REALLY want to push the HD Wind Waker. It would be cool to see Ghirahim but I doubt they'd put him AND Ganondorf in.

I'd go as far to say his being a background character in the Spirit Tracks stage shows that Toon Link won't be a playable character.

Well, so far, with the exception of Dr. Mario, every removed character has gotten replaced by another character from the same series.
So, if Toon Link would be axed, what Zelda character do you think would replace him (Since, it doesn't necessarily have to be a clone character)?
One of the most oft requested Zelda characters I see is Midna, despite Skyward Sword kind of ruining her chances of appearing now.

Midna would be pretty cool (I want Tetra but I don't see that happening :(), but yeah it's more likely to be someone from Skyward Sword I think.

Unless of course they decide to bump Tingle up to fully fledged fighter :lol

That frightens me because apparently Japan really loves Tingle.
So it's possible ._.
Especially now that Wii Fit Trainer (A character no one predicted) made the cut, I'm not ruling anyone out anymore :lol

They should put Navi into the game as the final boss and the goal is to catch her before she says "Hey, Listen" five times in a row. If you don't, you lose the match. :-p
