Amemiya clearly stated he wanted to make something completely opposite to Garo, and yet so many people completely ignored his statement and dived into it as if it is some hyper action thing.
He wanted to make something "down to earth", "not badass", "traditional".
If you miss Garo (Kouga) that much you will have to wait for a bit. Konishi Ryosei has agreed to return at 50 (yes. 50!), and Kaneda has agreed to film the sequel about Kouga in old age.

Gravure models are commonly photographed wearing bikinis or lingerie but may also appear wearing schoolgirl uniforms, Japanese street fashion, and kimonos. Since 2008, zakzak magazine has awarded a Gravure Idol Award.

I can't tell that he wanted to do something completely opposite of Garo. He recycled so much from it, that it would seem that the opposite is true.

Indeed, anyone expecting a series billed as "love comedy battle action hero" since it's announcement to be a GARO clone is GODDAMN DUMBASS, IMO. Dr. Kain's just being an idiot asshole as always. Guess he enjoy being Armond White that much

I was expecting a show to have A PLOT and not be about random nonsense. We are 6 episodes in and the girl has no purpose. There has not been a single shred of a plot (and the series is only 13 episodes). And we have a secretary who is horny for no reason with a maybe villain that isn't even doing anything remotely evil unless you count ignoring his secretary's desires as evil. Lastly, how are these guys heroes? They are sitting around bickering among each other instead of trying to prepare for this upcoming invasion and taking out bad guys.
