I dunno, that is kinda like judging Stanley Tucci solely on his role as a henchman in Beethoven. Yes Pattinson was a glittering vampire a decade or so ago, but he has moved on to do stuff like Good Time or Lighthouse so I say give him a chance.

Plus it was Twilight, the move where almost anyone would be bad in it no matter how good the actor is. The only one who could go into Twilight good that I can think of would be Dave Chappelle,

Good Time was fantastic. I think he'll be great in this Batman movie.

So because of a role he himself openly hates, he can't possibly be a good actor? Man, the MCU is garbage, that guy who plays the new Dolittle as Iron Man? The Human Torch from the old Fantastic Four movie as Captain America? Awful actors, so the MCU is awful

The guy has been in better movies after Twilight. Not to mention, he hated those movies just as much as most people did. Go watch Mapes to the Stars, High Life, Good Time, and Lighthouse (2019).

Actors can redeem themselves after being crap. Even both Nic Cage, and Adam Sandler have been in awesome movies lately after they been in utter garbage in recent history.

Why would Pattinson need to apologise for Twilight though? To my knowledge, he only acted in it. He didn’t write the script.

Hell, at the time RDJ was hired, he was considered box office poison that would tank any film.
People had no faith in Evans because he made a niche for himself in shitty comedies.
To go back even further, no one had faith in Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, since he was mostly known for his performances in musical theater.

And if we want to go even further beyond, horror icon Robert Englund, who was the OG Freddy Krueger, was considered to soft and lovable to believably portray a supernatural killer.

Robert Pattinson's best work wasn't Twilight, by far. But he's proven himself to be a real actor with great talent when given a script that isn't utter shit.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to portray him as a martial artist when the man is basically wearing twice his body weight in armor.

Have you seen any of this other movies? He was amazing in The Lighthouse. He's a talented actor. Don't let one role an actor played ruin everything for you. Otherwise George Clooney would have no career and the Batman franchise would have died in the 1990's.
